The ripple in the wave dissipated and a light warm breeze blew past, a heavy silence filled the air but relief washed past the 3 of us and I took a deep deep breath.
'Sniffle' The sound of sniffling came from behind one of the overgrown bushes beside us.
"What is that sound?" Rein whisper shouted looking around.
"I think I know who it might be." I walked towards the bush and pulled it apart and found the fairies embracing each other in a circle and sat on the floor all crying.
"What's wrong?" I asked them.
"Oh? You're…"
"You're here"
"That was so sad…"
"Y..Yh but they can be happy now…"
The fairies were so obviously mourning the death of Arnedan and Levern.
"We'll be okay…"
"Yh…"
"Death is always…"
"Followed by birth…"
The fairies cheered each other up and soon flew up and out of the bushes.
"Sorry about that"
"Yh, so sorry you…"
"Had to see that"
"Were okay now"
"Yh… Introduce your friends!"
I turned around to see the twins still standing beside the lake looking towards our direction, I waved them over.
"This is Rein and he's Reuben, and these are the fairies who helped me create the Chimera," I said.
"Hey, uhhh fairies… nice to meet you," Rein answered while Reuben simply looked at the fairies.
"Hey!"
"A friend of Levern's…"
"Friend is a Friend of ours!"
"Hey… Can I talk to you over there?" one of the fairies whispered in my ears and I agreed to talk to her off on the side.
"What's wrong?" I asked the pink-haired fairy.
"Nothing's wrong! I just had to tell you something…" She started hesitating once again.
"What is it?" I asked while looking over at the twins who were playing with the other fairies.
"Levern told us that we should stay by your side until you've completed all your fragment fusions."
[Third fragment fusion complete]
Just as I was about to ask her what she was talking about a voice rang out in my head and a golden light emitted from my heart along with my body feeling lighter than before.
"So… Those weren't awakenings but fragment fusions? What is that exactly?" I asked the fairy and a small hunch told me that the fairy knew a lot more about my abilities than I could ever learn by myself.
"Well… for one no one has ever been through a fragment fusion and an awakening is when one gains the ability to control the mana that flows from their mana core."
"Hold on exactly what kind of fragment is being fused with me?" I asked
"He didn't tell you?" The fairy looked around and whispered.
"Who?" I retorted back confused at the sudden secrecy.
"Levern, the fragment that is fusing to you are his powers…" She came closer to my ears and whispered.
"So a God's divine power is fusing to me? What happens exactly when a human being fuses with a Gods fragment?" I asked worried.
"Well… You become the next God upon your ascension or you could live down here forever, technically you've already broken all types of laws that keep a God locked away in their dimension that we call heaven." She said with an awkward smile.
"Wait, hold on… So you mean to tell me, that bast… No um God has essentially pointed me as the heir to his throne?" I asked with my hand placed on my head.
"Yh… I thought you knew. Didn't you meet him?" The fairy flew lower so she could see my facial expressions.
"Yes I did but he was just talking a bunch of nonsense and to think I felt bad for that prick! Is there no way of not becoming… you know God?" I asked swiftly looking back up with the hope of not being dragged into this tiring ordeal.
"No? That is your fate now since you've been intertwined with Levern and because you're like the only option at this point," she spoke bouncing her hands together in a clapping motion but lightly as to not create sound.
"Only option? Why? Surely there are other people to choose from that's a better option than me."
"Well you were the only one who had pre-existing Divine power flowing within you, everyone else who possess even a single drop of divine power was too far away from the location of Levern's death."
"Ugh, what a headache…" I sank my head back down and massaged my temples, if this information got out to the wrong hands I could be running away for the rest of my life or worshipped like some golden sack of meat.
"Don't worry, I'll stay with you I can be very useful almost like an encyclopedias, at least until you no longer need me." the fairy twirled around me and started humming after the end of her sentence.
I nodded my head and stood up to update the twins on the newly discovered revelation while we walked back toward the chapel.

We arrived at the chapel to take the children from Section A back to the orphanage.
"How are we going to take all of them back to the orphanage and how do we decontaminate them from the dark magic that was used on them?" I thought out loud as the dark smoke around the children seemed to grow thicker inside the protective barrier.
"Oh, you can purify them with your divine power just hold out your hand towards them and have the intent to heal. Trust yourself and your skills and it'll work out"
"Alright, I'll give it a try…" I spread out my hands towards the children who were still unconscious and thought very hard that I wished to heal them.
A bright golden light spread from my palms and filled the room, the light was blindingly dazzling to see it was the sight of what a child would imagine a miracle to look like.
Once I retracted my hands the light dissipated and the view became clearer, I could see that the overwhelmingly dark aura that lingered around the children ceased to exist as well as any wound that formed on them.
'I… I can now heal people, if I ever put their lives in danger I can save them… without watching them die and burying them with my hands… I can save the people I love and care for.'
