The blood!
Arazhan's heart raced.
It was flowing continuously. Naimishi has a vague idea of what's happening in her body, but it was her first time experiencing it. She had been waiting for this day every day, but why it has to happen at such a terrible time?
Arazhan's hands trembled as he saw the blood, his heart pounding with unease. He couldn't fathom what was happening to her, for just a minute ago, she seemed perfectly well. He attempted to lift her gown to see if she had injuries, but Naimishi held his hand, and with the last ounce of strength she had, she pushed him away. "Don't touch me!" Her eyes blazed red with anger.
"Stay away from me!" Her voice quivered as she shouted a faint, desperate plea. The agony coursed through her body, but it was the relentless ache in her heart that cut the deepest. He had callously tossed aside her feelings, deeming them nothing more than mere amusement.
