Scarlett chatted with Ronnie for a bit, and after racking her brain, she finally came up with a phrase that perfectly summed up Ronnie's level in physics: "A kid who can't even recognize the table of contents."
She wanted to start from Chapter 1, but he wasn't having it. "I've had three tutors before you. They all started from the beginning."
Scarlett, always amiable, responded on the spot, "Alright, then try this problem."
She quickly jotted down a question for him. Ronnie glanced at it, and it seemed as if Scarlett had written it in Morse code. Eventually, he admitted, frustrated and a bit embarrassed, "I don't know."
Flipping through a few pages of the textbook, Scarlett pointed out, "It's the first exercise after your lesson."
Ronnie retorted, "I'm not the type to do exercises."
Scarlett countered, "If you can mentally calculate the answer, that's fine. But during exams, you can't skip the steps, or you won't get any points."
