CHAPTER 30
MORANT TURNED OFF the phone, turned to his companions and said:
— The Prime Minister counts on our effort to solve the case and find Paul Leaks as soon as possible.
The three nodded.
'What do you think, Mr Evans?' In his extensive experience in police cases.
— The first rule is to never find anything until you've actually found something concrete, and for now, the only things we have are things that are too abstract.
— But it's what we have.
— No, Miss Barah, it's everything you do n't know.— we have, when we see something and we don't see it..., it's either not there, or it's too obvious to really see it, even though it's right in front of us.
— As is our case...
— Very likely...
GREGORY EVANS accompanied Morant to his office and they set up a panel, put all the data and information they had at their disposal, and in the center, they put a photo of Paul Leaks.
— Is there anything about Leaks that I haven't been told yet, Ben?
— No big deal, just that he was a famous hacker and ended up working for us for a while, and then…
— After?
— Then he betrayed us…selling classified information to the Russians, but knowing him as we did, it was an incoherent situation, for a young revolutionary to join Communists.
— All people look for an ally when they find common interests.
— Unfortunately.
Greg looked at the picture of the handsome man in front of him.
— Handsome, rich, smart and influential... what could he lack?
— Like I said…probably what we're seeing is so obvious we're not seeing it.
— And what do you recommend us, Greg?
He gave a smile.
— The most obvious thing in the world, we're going to eat and sleep, if we have to use our brains, in which case it's recommended that it's one hundred percent.
Morant was going to question, but he looked at all of them who looked like they had just arrived from a big battle, and oddly enough, they had actually fought a battle and initially lost.
— OK! Tomorrow at 10 am in my office.
Everyone knew that just a few hours of sleep was better than no sleep at all.
