Chapter 1: Introducing Akemi Futahara
Akemi Futahara was the newest member of the Teiko basketball team, and he was unlike anyone the team had ever seen before.
He was quiet and reserved, but he had a fierce determination that made him stand out. And despite his small stature, he had a shot that was as deadly as any of the Generation of Miracles.
Akemi's ability was similar to Kuroko's, but instead of passing, he could shoot the ball from almost any position on the court. It was a skill that had never been seen before, and it caught the attention of everyone on the team.
Akemi had jet-black hair that fell just above his shoulders, and his electric blue eyes were the same color as the lightning that surrounded him when he was in the zone. He was shorter than most of the other players on the team, standing at around 5'7". Despite his small stature, he was lean and muscular, with a wiry strength that was evident in the way he moved on the court.
During their first practice game, Akemi was matched up against Atsushi Murasakibara, one of the strongest players on the team.
"You're pretty small," Murasakibara said, looking down at Akemi. "How do you expect to beat me?"
Akemi didn't say anything. He just dribbled the ball and waited for the game to start.
As soon as the whistle blew, Akemi sprang into action. He darted around Murasakibara, zigzagging across the court with lightning-fast speed.
Murasakibara tried to keep up, but he was too slow. Akemi made a sharp turn and shot the ball, sinking it into the basket with ease.
The rest of the team was stunned. They had never seen anyone move like Akemi before.
Throughout the game, Akemi continued to impress. He dribbled past defenders with ease, his movements quick and precise. He shot the ball from impossible angles, making shot after shot.
Murasakibara tried to keep up, but he was no match for Akemi's speed and agility. He tried to block Akemi's shots, but Akemi always managed to find a way around him.
The rest of the team watched in amazement as Akemi scored point after point. The pink-haired girl cheered him on, clapping her hands and shouting words of encouragement.
The score was tied at 9-9, and the game was getting intense. Akemi had the ball, and Murasakibara was guarding him closely. Akemi dribbled back and forth, trying to find an opening.
Finally, he made his move. He faked left and then darted right, leaving Murasakibara in his wake. He launched himself into the air, twisting and turning as he shot the ball towards the basket.
The ball sailed through the air, and for a moment, time seemed to stand still. Everyone held their breath as they watched the ball arc towards the hoop.
And then, with a soft swish, the ball fell through the basket.
The gym erupted in cheers as Akemi's teammates rushed forward to congratulate him. Murasakibara just shook his head in disbelief.
"That was incredible," he said, looking at Akemi with a newfound respect.
Akemi just smiled and shrugged. He didn't think he had done anything special. He was just doing what came naturally to him.
With that, the game came to an end, and the team headed back to the locker room. The pink-haired girl caught up with Akemi, still buzzing from the excitement of the game.
"You were amazing out there," she said, grinning from ear to ear.
Akemi just smiled and nodded. He was happy to have made an impression, but he knew that there was still a lot of work to be done if he wanted to become a true member of the team.
'Didn't think I'd be playing against one of them like this and all it took was me saying no to that red haired prick.' akemi thinks to himself truly at awe at how quickly he was progressing
"you're able to hide from the game like me." a blue haired boy suddenly appears
"AHHHHH!"akemi screams in shock of the man's sudden appearance
Then he blinks for a second looks at his "friend" kise
"Hey is this how you feel when I do it too you?" Akemi questions the annoying blonde
"Eh you get used to it akemicchi." Kise laughs at his friend now that he suffered the same fate he always did
Akemi shrugs then turns back to kuroko with a raised eyebrow
"So you figured out how I play impressive." Akemi compliments the blue haired kid
"Yeah may I ask how you were able to use misdirection but for shooting?" The blue haired kid questioned
"Nope not fun you're my rival now so you gotta learn it yourself." akemi grins at the prospect of some to challenge him
"sorry kurokocchi i know how my friend here gets but right now you just made his day." Kise tells kuroko not looking sorry at all
But all the happy vibes died the moment the red haired kid walked up to akemi
"You're talented but talent alone won't get you anywhere you need to learn to play with others." He told akemi
"I worked well on my own so far and I can keep doing it." Akemi glares at the red haired kid
"We'll see about that." And he walks off
Akemi let's out a breath he didn't know he was holding everyone in the gym looks shocked when kise breaks the silence
"You just talked back to akashicchi!" Kise yells in shock
"Well he's a prick that believes himself a wannabe mob boss." Akemi says fully annoyed
Another kid walked up
"Well I'll be damned the names aomine daiki it's going to be great playing with that game got me pumped!" aomine tell akemi very excited about the new player
the pink hair girl then introduced herself
"Hey I'm satsuki momoi like I said earlier great game but standing up to Akashi definitely earns some points in my books."she tells akemi
"Well it was nice meeting you all.and I got say if the rest of you play like candy man over there. then I completely understand why this school worships you.i never played against some that could get my blood pumping like that." Akemi tells his new found team mates then walks off pulling out his phone and plug in some earphones and leaves listening to music
