I prepared lunch with Ashley. She helped me to arrange the plates and containers on table.
"Lunch is ready" I called out loudly.
Brother Shawn was the first one to arrive. He winked at me and sat on dining table. Big bro came from behind and sat down. I prepared rice, Kung pao chicken, Butter Chicken and Butter Naan. I started serving everyone.
"Sit with us Luna." Big bro pointed at empty chair beside Brother Shawn.
I immediately sat beside him. Everyone started taking their first bite. I was looking at their faces expecting some reaction.
"Mmmm....So delicious. Its..It's so yummy." Big bro chimed.
"Indeed, afterall she is my best friend", Ashley said while rolling her eyes.
"It's really very tasty" She said again with mouth full of food.
Brother Shawn was eating quietly. I looked at him and asked,
"Brother Shawn, do they suit your taste? Or shall I try something else next time? Why are you silent?"
He looked at me and smiled warmly.
"It's delicious Luna, it's so delicious that I don't want to waste time in talking, I just want to eat it."
I smiled and started eating myself. After we all had lunch, we were sitting in living room. I was thinking whether I should ask or not but decided to do it.
"Big bro... Is it possible to use the money that I will get on my 19th birthday?"
"How do you know about this? It was a secret will. Only few people knows that you will get all the Everson empire's property on 19 th birthday." Big bro asked while looking at me.
"Big bro that's not important. I want to use the money from today." I said.
"I can't say if that's possible. Your birthday is in 10 days. Can't you wait for 10 days?" He asked me.
"I can but.... I wanna grab everything I can. Even though there will be abundant stuff later." I said.
"What do you mean?" Brother Shawn asked.
"Nothing. Leave that. I will manage it somehow." I said.
"You can do one thing Luna, right now, you can take money from your big bro and later when you inherit the property, return the money back if you want. It's a win win situation." Ashley suggested.
I smiled. Right. Why didn't I think of it? If big bro lends me money, I can easily give it back afterwards. Even though there are 3 months for apocalypse but still I won't store everything and anything I can. Whether it's in abundance and early to store but I still want to start it from now. Precaution is always better than cure.
"Big bro, will you please do it?" I asked him.
"Sure cupcake. Tell me the amount and I will send to you back account later." He said.
"$8 million. I will return to you after 10 days immediately"
"$8 million. What you gonna do by this much money? Are you planning to invest or something. Or you wanna buy lands?" Ashley asked.
"I will tell you someday. By the way, I want to ask you something more important big bro. By chance, do you have contact number of business tycoon Black?"
"Black? Why do you want his number? He is very influential and powerful person. He is also a mafia leader. He can be very dangerous acquaintance. He only appeared once in media. After that, no one has ever seen him." Brother Shawn said in worry.
"Mhm... I know everything about black. But he is the only one who can help me. I need to find him." I said.
I can't wait 8 days for him to appear infront of me. I need to meet him soon. He's the only one who believes that my parents are alive. Only he can help me. He knows the remedy.
"With what? Why do you need his help? I can help you with anything." Big bro was trying to persuade me to change my mind.
Black is young business tycoon. He is very influential and powerful. On top of that, he is in mafia. All people in business world are scared of acting against him. He is cold and ruthless but I know his different side. I need to approach him first in this lifetime. Even though big bro is powerful but it's only black who can help me in this.
"Big bro, don't worry, trust me I know what I am doing this time. Once I am done with my work, I will tell you why I wanted his help. But for now, I don't want you all to get involved." I said firmly.
"I will send you his number till night. But you need to inform us before doing anything. If you are planning to meet him then take me or Shawn. But, you need to keep us informed. Is it clear Luna?" Big bro said in serious tone.
"Yup big bro. I will inform you about my actions in advance. Black is not a bad person. I trust him." I said.
"Big bro, can I stay in your house for today, I don't want to go back to Smith's house. And, I also want to spend time with you."
"You can stay here forever cupcake." Big bro patted me.
I will call black and ask him to meet me tomorrow. I will purchase few supplies tomorrow. Maybe after meeting him, I should roam around city to purchase anything I feel like and then I will store them in space, do martial arts training in evening.
Big bro, Brother Shawn and Ashley are already well versed with martial arts as they entered the business world. Business world is very dangerous but in few months, there are more dangerous creatures awaiting for us. I can't stop the apocalypse as I don't know how it started. I can only prepare myself for it.
