Luca's team members had searched high and low for him, but he was nowhere to be found. They had checked all the usual places where he would meet with his informants, but no one had seen or heard from him. It was as if he had disappeared into thin air.
Eva addressed the team members gathered around her, "Listen up, everyone. We all know what happened to Luca, but this was all part of the plan. We need to use this opportunity to our advantage and find out where the rebels are keeping him. We can't let them get away with this."
The team members looked at each other, realizing the gravity of the situation. "What's the plan, Eva?" one of them asked.
"We're going to stage a fake news report that we are disabling the mafia forever," Eva said. "We know the rebels will come out to celebrate, and we can track them down from there. But we need to be smart and cautious. This is our chance to get Luca back, and we can't mess it up."
The team members nodded in agreement, and Eva could see the determination in their eyes. They were ready to do whatever it takes to bring Luca back home.
They would broadcast a fake news report that the mafia is being disabled. The rebels would undoubtedly celebrate, and that was when they would strike. They would track down the rebels' location and launch a massive operation to take them all out.
The team members worked quickly and efficiently, and within hours, the fake news report was broadcast across all major news networks. The rebels took the bait, and soon their location was leaked by one of Luca's informants.
Luca's men received a message from one of their informants that the rebels had been lured out of their hideout by the fake news report. They quickly assembled a team and made their way to the location.
As they approached, one of the informants came out from the shadows, holding up a hand to signal them to stop. "They're all inside," he said, his voice low. "I counted at least two dozen of them. They're heavily armed, so be careful."
Luca's second-in-command nodded, signaling for the team to move out. They approached the building with caution, their weapons at the ready.
Luca's team moved with precision, taking out rebel fighters one by one. Gunfire echoed through the deserted streets as the two sides clashed. The sound of explosions and screams filled the air.
As they entered, a hail of bullets erupted from the rebels' guns, and a fierce gunfight broke out.
Luca was nowhere to be seen, but the team members fought on. They took out the rebels one by one, their determination fueled by the desire to avenge Luca and dismantle the mafia once and for all.
Suddenly, Luca appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. He had been hiding, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. He was armed and dangerous, and his eyes blazed with a fierce determination.
Luca snatched his gun and vest, a devilish smile spreading across his face. He started killing the rebels mercilessly, his rage fueling him.
He scanned the area, searching for any sign of the man who had threatened Eva.
As he moved forward, he saw a group of rebels taking cover behind a wall. Without hesitation, he raised his gun and fired, taking down two of them. The remaining rebels returned fire, but Luca was too quick for them. He ducked and weaved, dodging the bullets as he made his way towards them.
As he reached the wall, he heard a voice behind him. "Hey, lover boy! Where's your wife?" It was the man who had threatened Eva. Luca turned around and saw him, standing a few feet away with a wicked grin on his face.
The man's eyes glinted with malice as he continued to taunt Luca. "She screamed my name all night long," he said, his voice dripping with contempt. "You could never satisfy her like I did. She begged for more, begged for me to take her harder and faster. And you know what? I did. I fucked her until she couldn't walk straight."
He let out a cruel laugh as Luca's fists clenched in anger. "You'll never be enough for her, Luca. She needs a real man, a man who can give her what she deserves. And that's not you."
Luca's blood boiled at the sight of him. Without a word, he charged towards the man, his gun raised. The man fired his weapon, but Luca kept coming. He tackled the man to the ground, and they began to struggle.
Luca plunged his knife into the man's flesh again and again, not caring about anything but the satisfaction of seeing his tormentor suffer. He couldn't stand to hear any more of the vile things the man was saying about Eva, the love of his life. With each thrust of the knife, he felt a release of pent-up anger and frustration.
As the man's body lay motionless on the ground, Luca stood up, his eyes wild with an almost feral rage. He looked around at the carnage surrounding him, his chest heaving with each breath. He had lost control, and it felt good.
Luca's team members quickly jumped into action, shielding him from further gunfire and returning fire towards the attackers. Two of them dragged him behind cover, checking his wounds and urging him to stay awake.
"Stay with us, boss," one of them said, his voice urgent. "The ambulance is on its way. Just hold on a little longer."
Luca's vision blurred, and he struggled to keep his eyes open. He could hear the sound of gunfire and shouting in the distance, and his mind raced with a hundred different thoughts.
"Did we get them all?" he asked weakly.
"Not yet, but we will," another team member replied, his voice grim. "Just focus on staying awake. You're gonna make it, boss. We won't let you die here."
Luca felt a hand grip his tightly, and he looked up to see the concerned faces of his team members looking down at him. He tried to speak, but his voice was barely a whisper.
"Tell Eva...I love her," he managed to say before his eyes closed and he slipped into unconsciousness.
The ambulance finally arrived, and they carefully lifted Luca onto a stretcher and rushed him inside
Eva sat in the back of the ambulance, holding Luca's hand tightly. Blood soaked through his clothes and dripped onto the floor. The paramedics worked frantically to save him, but she could see the worry etched on their faces.
"Please, you have to save him," Eva pleaded, tears streaming down her face.
"We're doing everything we can," one of the paramedics said, but Eva could hear the uncertainty in his voice.
The ambulance sped through the streets, sirens blaring, as Eva clung to Luca's hand, praying that he would survive. The sound of the sirens faded as they approached the hospital, and Eva was left with a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach.
As the ambulance came to a stop and the doors were thrown open, Eva was ushered out of the way as the paramedics rushed Luca inside. She watched helplessly as they wheeled him into the emergency room, disappearing from sight.
Eva collapsed onto a nearby bench, her head in her hands. She didn't know if Luca was going to make it, and the thought of losing him was too much to bear. She could only hope and pray that he would pull through.
And then everything went dark.
