Chapter 5 - A Morning with Luca

Eva woke up to the warmth of Luca's arms wrapped around her. She slowly turned to face him, admiring the peaceful expression on his face as he slept. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of guilt as she remembered the thoughts she had about him in the shower the previous night. She slipped out of bed, trying not to disturb him, and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower.

The hot water cascading down her body brought back memories of the night before. The way Luca had touched her, the way he had made her feel - it was like nothing she had ever experienced before. She closed her eyes and let out a soft moan, feeling the familiar ache between her legs. She couldn't help but let her thoughts wander to Luca's naked body. She imagined every inch of him, his taut muscles and smooth skin. Her hands roamed over her body, imagining his hands on her instead. She leaned against the shower wall, biting her lip as she brought herself to a shuddering climax.

After her shower, she threw on one of Luca's oversized t-shirts and headed to the kitchen. She had never been much of a cook, but she wanted to do something nice for Luca. She rummaged through his cabinets, trying to find something to make. Eventually, she settled on pancakes and scrambled eggs.

As she cooked, she couldn't help but feel a sense of domesticity. It was strange to be in someone else's home, but she couldn't deny the feeling of contentment she felt in this moment. Luca's presence in her life had been unexpected, but she was beginning to realize how much she enjoyed it.

Luca finally stirred, making his way to the kitchen with a sleepy expression. "Good morning," he said, his voice still thick with sleep.

"Morning," Eva replied, flashing him a smile as she placed the breakfast on the table. "I made pancakes and scrambled eggs."

Luca's eyes widened in surprise. "You cooked? That's impressive."

She chuckled. "It's not much, but I wanted to do something nice."

Luca sat down at the table, eagerly digging into the food. Eva watched him eat, a sense of contentment filling her once again. It was strange to feel so at ease with someone she had only known for a short time, but she couldn't deny the connection she felt with Luca.

After breakfast, Luca suggested they take a walk in the park. As they strolled through the lush greenery, she couldn't help but feel happy. The sun was shining, the birds were singing, and she was with the man she had fallen for. They walked hand in hand, enjoying the peace and quiet of the early morning.

As they sat on a bench, watching the ducks swimming in the pond, Luca turned to her. "You know, I've never felt this way about anyone before. You make me feel like I can be myself around you."

Eva smiled, feeling her heart swell with emotion. "I feel the same way about you, Luca."

Luca leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to her lips. As they kissed, she felt like the world had faded away. It was just her and Luca, and nothing else mattered.

They spent the rest of the morning exploring the park, taking silly pictures of each other and making each other laugh. It was like they were in their own little bubble, oblivious to the world around them.

As they drove back to her apartment, Luca turned to her. "I know we haven't known each other for long, but I can't imagine my life without you in it. Will you be my girlfriend?"

Eva felt tears prick at the corners of her eyes as she realized just how much she had come to care for Luca. She never expected to find herself in this situation, falling for a dangerous man with a past shrouded in mystery. But she couldn't deny the way he made her feel, the way her heart raced every time she was near him.

As they drove, she gazed out the window, lost in thought. She wondered what her friends and family would think if they knew about her relationship with Luca. Would they be concerned? Would they try to talk her out of it?

But as she looked over at Luca, she knew that she didn't want to be talked out of it. She wanted to be with him, despite the risks and dangers that came with his lifestyle. She knew that it wouldn't be easy, but she was willing to take the chance.

Luca must have sensed her thoughts because he reached over, taking her hand in his. "Hey, you okay?" he asked, his voice filled with concern.

She nodded, feeling a sense of comfort in his touch. "Yeah, I'm just...thinking."

"About what?" Luca asked, squeezing her hand gently.

"About us," she replied, turning to look at him. "I never expected to fall for someone like you, Luca. But here I am, falling hard."

Luca smiled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I feel the same way, Eva. I know I'm not the easiest person to be with, but I can't help the way I feel about you."

Eva leaned over, pressing her lips to his in a soft kiss. "I don't care about the risks, Luca. I just want to be with you."

Luca pulled back, looking at her with a serious expression. "I want to be with you too, Eva. But I need to be honest with you. My life is dangerous. There are people who want to hurt me, and anyone who's associated with me."

She felt a shiver run down her spine at his words. She knew that being with Luca came with risks, but hearing him say it out loud made it all the more real.

"But I promise you this," Luca continued, his eyes never leaving hers. "I will do everything in my power to protect you. You are my priority, Eva. I will never let anything happen to you."

She felt a sense of warmth spread through her chest at his words. She knew that Luca was a man of his word, and she believed him. She leaned over, kissing him again, feeling the passion and desire build between them.

As they arrived at her apartment building, she felt a sense of reluctance to leave Luca's side. She wanted to spend more time with him, to explore this newfound connection between them.

"Will I see you again?" she asked, turning to look at him.

Luca reached over, caressing her cheek with his hand. "Of course you will, Eva. I can't stay away from you."

She smiled, feeling a sense of joy and contentment fill her once again. She knew that being with Luca would not be easy, but she was willing to take the chance. As she walked into her apartment, she knew that her life would never be the same. But for the first time in a long time, she was excited to see what the future held.
