Chapter 6 - Titan is back

As Titan's muscular frame stepped out of the Hero Hospital, he winced at the residual pain in his fractured arm. The cast wrapped around his powerful limb served as a stark reminder of his recent encounter with Razor-Blade, a villain whose blades were as tough as Titan's impenetrable skin. The clash of their forces had resulted in a stalemate, leaving both opponents injured but determined to fight another day.

Ms. Green, the head doctor, stood by Titan's side, her compassionate gaze filled with concern. "Remember, Titan, healing takes time. Take care of yourself and don't rush back into the field until you're fully recovered. You're a valuable asset to the hero community, and we want to see you at your best."

Titan nodded, acknowledging her words. Though known for his brute strength and imposing presence, he held a deep respect for the medical staff who tended to heroes' injuries and ensured their well-being. He admired their dedication and understood the importance of listening to their advice.

"Thank you, Ms. Green," Titan replied in his deep, gravelly voice. "I appreciate all the care and support you've given me. I'll make sure to follow your recommendations and allow myself the time to heal properly."

Ms. Green smiled warmly, her eyes crinkling with a touch of pride. "That's what I like to hear, Titan. Now, I have a final recommendation for you. Head over to the Hero Association Department building and register yourself officially. It's time for you to put your lone crusading days behind you and consider working with a team."

Titan's brows furrowed, a mixture of reluctance and curiosity crossing his face. He had always preferred to work alone, relying on his incredible strength and durability to battle evil. The idea of joining forces with others seemed foreign to him, but he respected Ms. Green's expertise and understood that her recommendation came from a place of wisdom.

"I'll consider it, Ms. Green," Titan grumbled, his tone betraying his skepticism. "But you know I work best on my own. I'm not sure I can handle the dynamics of a team."

Ms. Green placed a gentle hand on Titan's uninjured shoulder, her touch imbued with warmth and understanding. "Titan, I've seen your abilities firsthand, and I know how formidable you are. But the true strength of a hero lies not just in physical power, but in their ability to work together, to trust and support one another. The Hero Association offers a chance for you to learn and grow, to discover the potential within you that goes beyond brute force."

Titan's hardened expression softened slightly as he absorbed Ms. Green's words. Deep down, he knew she spoke the truth. He had seen other heroes accomplish incredible feats through teamwork and coordination. Perhaps it was time for him to set aside his solitary ways and explore the possibilities of collaboration.

"All right, Ms. Green," Titan finally conceded. "I'll give it a try. If it means becoming a better hero, I'm willing to step out of my comfort zone."

Ms. Green's smile widened, a sense of satisfaction evident in her eyes. "That's the spirit, Titan. I believe in you, and I'm confident that you'll find your place within the Hero Association. Remember, there's strength in unity."

As Titan bid farewell to Ms. Green and made his way towards the towering Hero Association Department building, he carried a newfound sense of purpose. The road ahead would be challenging, as he navigated the unfamiliar territory of teamwork and camaraderie. But deep within his formidable heart, he knew that embracing this change would only make him stronger and help him protect the city he loved.

With his fractured arm encased in a cast and his determination, Titan approached the front desk of the Hero Association Department, he couldn't help but notice the enchanting presence of Rose, the front desk clerk. Her radiant smile and graceful demeanor captivated him, momentarily distracting him from his mission. With fair skin and flowing golden locks, Rose was a vision of beauty that seemed to emanate a gentle charm.

"Hello," Titan greeted, his deep voice reverberating through the air. "I'm here under the recommendation of Ms. Green, the head surgeon at Saint First Hero Hospital. She suggested I come here to register officially."

Rose's eyes sparkled with recognition as she processed his words, glancing briefly at the note from Ms. Green. "Ah, yes. Titan, right? It's a pleasure to meet you. Welcome to the Hero Association Department. Let me get your information and complete the registration process."

As Rose began typing away on the computer, Titan's heightened senses picked up on a subtle shift in the atmosphere. The air around him seemed to buzz with anticipation. Turning his head ever so slightly, he noticed a figure striding purposefully down the hallway. It was Captain Lumen, a renowned hero known for his light manipulation abilities and charismatic leadership.

Titan's instincts tingled, the hair on the back of his neck standing on end. He sensed an intense aura emanating from Lumen, a mix of excitement and challenge. Titan knew that this encounter was no coincidence. He had heard stories of Lumen's tendency to test and assess potential recruits, pushing them to their limits.

Just as Lumen neared the front desk, his eyes fell upon Titan's imposing figure. A mischievous smile played on Lumen's lips as he swiftly moved to attack from behind. His intent was clear—to gauge Titan's reflexes and gauge his abilities.

However, Titan's heightened senses and well-honed instincts kicked into overdrive. As the hair on the back of his neck stood at attention, he swiftly turned, meeting Lumen's surprise attack head-on. Their clash reverberated through the hall, echoing with a burst of energy and power.

The force of Lumen's strike met with Titan's indomitable strength, creating a shockwave that rattled the surroundings. The brief but intense confrontation sent papers fluttering and nearby objects trembling, drawing the attention of those nearby.

Rose gasped, her hand instinctively covering her mouth as she watched the explosive encounter unfold. The clash between two titanic forces left an indelible impression on her, further enhancing the enigmatic aura that surrounded Titan.

Lumen, a mixture of surprise and exhilaration, stepped back, his eyes gleaming with newfound respect. "Impressive, Titan. Your reflexes are impeccable, and your strength is truly remarkable. It's been a while since I've encountered someone as formidable as you."

Titan, his breath steady and his gaze fixed on Lumen, nodded in acknowledgment. "You certainly know how to make an entrance, Captain. But I'm not one to back down from a challenge."

Lumen's mischievous smile widened into a grin. "Excellent! It seems you have the spirit of a true hero, Titan. I look forward to seeing what you're capable of. Welcome to the Hero Association. I believe you'll be a valuable addition to our ranks."

As the tension in the air subsided, Rose, still in awe of the display of power and skill, finally found her voice. "Um, gentlemen, if I may interject. Titan, I have your registration almost complete. Just a few more details to input."

Titan tore his gaze away from Lumen and turned his attention back to Rose, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Thank you, Rose. I appreciate your assistance.
