"Why are you ladies still here?" Xavier asked as soon as he noticed the two women "Everyone have already left, haven't they?"
"We needed to lock up the place but, you were still around" Harper said
"You could have just left the locking up to me. It's late" Xavier said and Rea pursed her lips
"You were doing it in your office with a woman who claims to be your friend" Rea said
"She is my friend" Xavier said "This is actually only a one time thing" he frowned "Plus, since when did you have the guts to talk back like that to your superiors? You even went as far as eavesdropping when you know I could sack you whenever I please" he said and the two women shivered
"Forgive our insolence, Mr Grey" Harper said
"Kathy and I need to be somewhere right now" Xavier said as he and Kathy headed out the door "Don't forget to lock up the place" he shouted
He and Kathy ran and got into his car while, at a distance, Owen and Norman were in a squad car watching....well, Norman was watching while Owen was sound asleep
"Officer Owen" Norman called out as he shook his partner who had drool coming out from the side of his mouth while he was resting on the steering wheel
"S-sir?" Owen mumbled an answer in his sleepy state before Norman smacked him on the back of his head "Detective" he said
"They've already left" Norman said "Start the car. Let's follow and turn off the siren"
"Yes" Owen said as he started the car and turned off the siren before chasing after Xavier's car with the help of Norman.

"We're being followed" Xavier said as he pulled up in front of the barricade blocking the road to the southern forest
"I know" Kathy said "Two men in a car. Who are they trying to fool?"
"Does it even matter?" Xavier asked as they both got out of the car and walked along the barricade, into the forest to the left side "They wouldn't dare to follow us"
The squad car pulled up behind Xavier's and as soon as Owen and Norman got down, they went to the car and looked through the window
"They're not inside" Owen said "Damn it"
"They entered the forest from the left side" Norman said "I just saw the woman's hair sway"
"Should we call for back up?" Owen asked as Norman was already heading into the left side
"There's no time and too many people will cause them to make a run for it" Norman said and Owen looked around before following Norman
Meanwhile, Xavier's eyes began to glow
"Wow. These guys have guts" he said "They're persistent"
"Ignore them. We should be nearing the first wave" Kathy said

Off in the distance, werewolves were clashing with their kind, hybrids and vampires. Explosions were going off everywhere and magic was being blasted around.
Another explosion went off which took down several werewolves and that was when a man with blonde hair and blue eyes entered the war zone. He had blood on his clothes but none of it was his.
"Commander Henry" one of the werewolves shouted in joy
"I had to leave the school in the hands of two other commanders" Henry said "We can't allow these guys to go any further than they already have. The fact that some of them are already here, means that the East is also under attack" he clenched his fists as he looked around and saw a lot of werewolves were already down "Send the injured back to the estate. Those who can still fight, stand your ground. Those specializing in magic attacks, I'll need you to combine some of your best attacks and fire them at the enemy"
"Yes, sir" they all shouted while Henry activated his bloodline magic
'Although I said all that, my body is nearing its limits' Henry thought 'At this rate, we might just lose the South. If only Prince Nathan were still here...but we need to hold on until he gets back at midnight' a dark green substance surrounded his arms and legs. It continued upwards until her was covered in armour "Attack" he shouted and everyone ran to clash with the incoming wave
Henry had solidified his gauntlets so they looked like sharply pointed swords as he began to take down the enemies is front of him.
Xavier and Kathy watched from a distance as the battle waged on
"That guy is pretty good" Xavier said
"But, he's low on stamina and their forces are nothing" Kathy said when some of the enemies noticed the two of them "Seriously?"
As the enemies came towards them, Xavier and Kathy were unshaken while Owen and Norman who were not that far from them, were staring at the war
"S-Sir, this...what is this?" Owen asked
"I don't know and nobody would believe us if we told them" Norman whispered "Did you come with your phone?"
"Y-yes" Owen replied as he took his phone out from his pocket
"Take pictures" Norman said and Owen did just that
When the enemies were close enough, Kathy and Xavier beat them up with their bare hands. The punches weren't doing little damage at all as body parts went flying.
"By the way, Kathy..." Xavier started as he took off his suit jacket and tossed it on the ground "....how do you know it will be two years in the spirit world?"
"One day here, equals two years there" Kathy said as she watched him unbutton his shirt
"Then, we still have a lot of time" Xavier said as he handed his shirt to her and stretched
"What do you-"
"There's no way the Princess would head to the spirit world at exactly twelve midnight" Xavier said "Even I wouldn't be able to do that"
"Then what do you suggest?" Kathy asked
"We help the South, find out why Nathan isn't here to help them, find out if they're aware that the Princess is back, and act afterwards" Xavier said
"I never knew you were smart" Kathy said as his hair started turning a bit orange while his teeth and nails elongated
"Don't tempt me, Kathy" Xavier said "Also, stand back" when his transformation was done, his whole body was covered in orange fur and he looked more like a fox on two legs with his pointed ears and two long tails sticking out from just above his ass
"Only two?" Kathy asked
"It'll be enough to wipe them all out" Xavier said "Wait for me, will you?"
"Commander Henry" someone shouted on the field and when Kathy looked towards them, she noticed Henry was already flying towards her
"Looks like he's out for the count" Xavier growled "I'm off" he was instantly gone from Kathy's side as she caught Henry while moving only slightly
"You okay?" Kathy asked and Henry slightly opened his eyes as he winched
"D-Damn it" Henry let out as Kathy slowly laid him down on the ground
"Don't worry. It will all be over in a couple of minutes" Kathy said as she looked towards the battle field before setting up a barrier around her and Henry
The ground suddenly stared shaking and a large part of the enemy line had been wiped out as Xavier let out a loud roar.
"Get off the battlefield. You're in the way" Xavier addressed the South and they each began to scramble while moving their injured and dead "There. That's far enough" he said and they all stopped running
"Who is that guy?" one of the enemy werewolves asked buy his partner who was next to him, a vampire, was shaking
"We need to get out of here" the vampire said "That's Demon General Xavier. We're all gonna die"
"What?"
"Retreat. We all need to retreat" the vampire shouted
"Like I'm gonna let you go" Xavier said as he displayed his sharp teeth before opening his mouth wide. A small black orb began to condense itself between his jaws before it turned red
"Oh shit" one of the enemies let out and at the same time, a powerful blast of magic energy was sent of in the form of a sea of flames as it burnt of the enemies down to ash. The blast continued on, even burning down enemies that were a distance away as the orb in Xavier's mouth disappeared and smoke was coming out from his mouth as he reverted back to his human form.
"I took care as to burn the one in the East and not harm any of the Easterners before it completely disappears" Xavier said as he walked back over to Kathy
"Your magic control is as crazy as ever" Kathy said
"It's not as good as yours" Xavier said before looking at Henry who was sat up against a tree "You okay, bud?"
Henry opened one of his eyes slowly and nodded which made all of the southern werewolves to breath a sigh of relief
"What happened to Louisa?" Kathy asked "Her barriers should have been able to stop these numbers" she said
"They...got to...Lady Louisa first" Henry managed to let out "She....has passed away" he said and there was a glum look on the southerners faces
"Louisa did?" Xavier asked "That old lady who has cheated death and eternal slumber many times...you're telling me she's dead?"
"There....was an abomination at the school" Henry said as he coughed up blood and Kathy had to set her hands on him and use healing magic
"Abomination?" Xavier asked "Be more clearer"
"A two headed werewolf" Henry said "None....of our....attacks could do anything. Lady Louisa had to protect the children....it was an order. She went...at it with full power....and she and the werewolf....killed each oth..." his voice trailed off as he passed out
"I can heal him but I still need magic power for the Princess" Kathy said "His body is weak too"
"Where's Nathan?" Xavier asked
"The Prince left for the spirit world this morning at six with the Princess, one human, the ambassadors of the Fallens, some children and a couple of royals and nobles" one of the werewolves said
"Human? Nathan Kendell took a human with him?" Xavier asked "This is an interesting topic"
Kathy tossed his shirt at him and stood up before asking "Why would they all head to the spirit world?"
"According to Commander Henry, they all left to train with the Prince's master, the legendary cursed immortal human, Dante" another werewolf answered
"It takes one hour and thirty minutes to get from here to the spirit world gate" Kathy said "We still have until six in the morning and Leon doesn't seem to be sending reinforcements any time soon" Xavier nodded in agreement before turning to the southerners
"All of you should head on home. I'll set a barrier in the South just in case" Xavier said as he grabbed Henry and handed him to the werewolf who had spoken last "Take him. Hurry" he said and the werewolves bowed before dashing away; back to the Southern werewolf estate.
"We should get going" Kathy said
"I've already set up the barrier" Xavier said as he buttoned up his shirt and noticed his watch was gone "Where's my watch?"
"I told you it wouldn't survive" Kathy said and Xavier turned to where Owen and Norman were "Don't do it"
"Fine" Xavier said as they both started walking further into the forest
"Should we follow them?" Owen whispered
"It'd be dumb not to" Norman said "You saw what I saw. If we go back on our own, we won't survive" he said as he cautiously followed Xavier and Kathy
Owen looked around and heard howling in a distance which was enough to convince him into following Norman.

I loved writing this chapter. Due to certain reasons, I might go offline for a while....maybe I've been doing it a bit too much but, life in Nigeria isn't easy. I hope everyone understands and will continue to support my works.
