Chapter 100 - The capital

A bloodcurdling scream reverberated through the air, its raw power causing an involuntary shiver to run down the spine of anyone within earshot. In the midst of the chaos, one of the guards was violently hurled through the air, colliding with a nearby tree before crashing onto the unforgiving ground. His body, still engulfed in flickering flames, lay motionless, a chilling testament to the ferocity of the assailants.

The remaining guards stood frozen, their eyes widening in sheer terror as they beheld the devastating scene before them. Their gazes remained fixed on the ominous figures that loomed menacingly in front, emanating an aura of unstoppable force. The weight of their weapons suddenly seemed inconsequential, no match for the sheer power and malevolence that confronted them.

"T...there's no way we can defeat these people, let's just get back up sir!," One guard stammered, his voice tinged with panic as he turned to the guard barely clinging to consciousness.
