Chapter 12 - I didn't do it! I swear!

"Ahh~"

"Hmmmm~~"

"Arrgh~"

The moans of Gabi's and Quin's lustful embrace filled the room, as the creaking of the bed followed right after.

They were clearly enjoying each other's company, with no regards for whatever was going to happen after.

As the room fell silent, the door suddenly burst open, revealing Bali's figure rushing in with a sense of urgency.

"Quick Quin, your priestess!" He exclaimed, his eyes wide with alarm. However, as he stepped into the room, he was taken aback by the sight before him: Quin and Gabi were both naked, entangled in each other's embrace on the bed.

Bali's initial shock was quickly replaced by a look of confusion as he tried to process the unexpected scene before him.

Despite the shock and confusion, Bali realized that time was of the essence and that he needed to refocus on the task at hand.

He took a deep breath and tried to push aside any lingering thoughts, reminding himself of the importance of his message.

"Quin, we need to go, your priestess! She's in trouble." He repeated, hoping that his urgency would override any awkwardness in the room.

"Anna?!" Quin exclaimed, immediately springing from the bed and hastily donning his clothes as he sought to find out what was happening.

With Gabi close behind him, Quin hurried after Bali as he led them to one of the guest rooms in the castle. Once inside, they were met with the sight of Anna, who lay on the bed with a blanket covering her body

Quin's eyes widened in shock as he took in the sight of Anna lying on the bed, her clothes soaked in blood. "What happened?" he asked urgently, his gaze fixed on Anna.

Bali, looking bewildered, exclaimed, "You don't even know what happened?!"

Veronica, Elena, and Aiko soon arrived at the entrance of the room, their expressions reflecting their worry. "What's going on?" Veronica demanded, striding into the room. "It's impolite to disturb a sleeping woman."

But as soon as her gaze fell on Anna's injured form, Veronica's tone softened, "Who did this?" She murmured under her breath, her concern palpable.

Bali cleared his throat and raised the paper in his hand. "Apparently, she was attacked by someone," he uttered, his voice grave.

"Someone knocked on my door, at first, I thought it was just the maid, but when I went out to check, I found this...a message saying someone was dying in the kitchen!"

He paused, his eyes scanning the faces of his companions. "When I arrived there, thinking it was some kind of prank, I found her lying on the ground, and someone had already bandaged her injuries."

Gabi's eyes widened in shock, but she quickly regained her composure, trying desperately to keep a straight face. Thoughts raced through her mind, "Hold on, there's no way right? No one could have seen when I stabbed her?"

"Funny," Elena chimed in, holding up a paper of her own. "I received the same message."

"Same here," Aiko raised her own paper.

"Also here," Veronica joined.

The room fell silent as the gravity of the situation sank in. Each person was lost in their own thoughts, trying to make sense of what had just happened. Who could have done this? Why would anyone attack her?.

Bali spoke up, breaking the silence. "We need to find out who did this. We can't just sit here and wait for the person to reveal themselves".

Gabi couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. She knew that she had to be careful and keep her guard up. She couldn't let anyone suspect that she had anything to do with the attack.

A slight chuckle suddenly left Quin's lips as his back was turned to the rest, his view focused on Anna. The others exchanged looks of confusion, wondering what had caused him to suddenly laugh.

"I'm so stupid," He uttered, his palm covering his face as slight chuckles followed right after. "I should have known that was your plan."

Their confusion deepened as they tried to make sense of what he was saying. Suddenly, Quin turned to Gabi, his expression turning from amusement to anger in an instant.

"The drugs...the sex...it was all your plan...wasn't it!" Quin's voice boomed, causing Gabi to startle and move back until her back hit the wall.

The others exchanged worried glances, unsure of what to do or say. They had never seen Quin like this before, and they could sense that something was seriously wrong.

Gabi's eyes darted around the room, trying to find an escape route, but she was trapped. She knew that she had to think fast if she wanted to get out of this situation alive.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Gabi stuttered, her voice barely audible.

Quin stepped forward, his fists clenched at his sides. "Don't lie to me!" He yelled. "I know you're the one behind all of this. You wanted to remove Anna from her position as my priestess… you said so yourself!."

Gabi's mind raced as she tried to come up with a plausible explanation, but she was drawing a blank. She knew that she had to be careful and choose her words wisely if she wanted to get out of this alive.

"I swear to you, Quin, I had nothing to do with this," Gabi said, her voice shaking. "I would never do anything to hurt my sisters. You have to believe me."

Quin hesitated, his expression softening slightly. "Why…why did you have to do this?," He muttered, his voice barely audible.

The tension in the room was thick as the group tried to make sense of what had just happened. They knew that something was seriously wrong, and they had to find a way to get to the bottom of it.

Suddenly, Gabi collapsed to her knees, her body shaking with sobs as tears streamed down her face. "I swear..." She managed to choke out between gasps for air. "I didn't kill her. The only reason I came to your room was because Ethan forced me to."

The others looked on in shock as Gabi broke down in front of them. They had never seen her like this before, and they could sense that she was telling the truth. Only one person found it hard to believe.
