With a sigh, Aylin cracked her eyes open, startled by the sudden darkness that enveloped her. Blinking a few times, she moved her head upwards, making the book cover fall to the side.

Aylin's brows furrowed in confusion, she looked at the chair where Kian was sitting and found it empty.
She remembered that he was sitting there when she fell asleep, so where was he?
With a frown, Aylin looked around the room, her eyes stopped in time to see Kian standing by the window, his back facing her.
Aylin sat up, her eyes trained on the tall and handsome figure, and watched as he brought his hand forward and placed a cup on his lip, taking a slow sip from it. The morning sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow around him. Aylin couldn't help but stare at him.
As if sensing that she was awake, Kian turned around and stared at her for a minute before walking toward her.
"Enjoyed your sleep?" He asked as he approached Aylin.
