The heavy tension intensified in the air and the room fell in awkward silence. Nari broke the silence as she cleared her throat before saying "Did you sleep well?"
Hwarang's hand holding the chopstick with a piece of food trapped between it halted and then, he placed it down before replying.
"I slept fine, you?" He replied in a clipped tone.
"It was fine."
The conversation was traveling in an awkward trail, but he saw her bite down on her lower lips, as if she wanted to say something else. The awkward conversation was only a cover up for the real motive behind it.
She tucked her hair behind her ear timidly as she hesitated before saying "I'm sorry I fell asleep.." She trailed off as she spoke with her lowest voice that could barely pass for a whisper.
