Bellamy's POV
As my phone vibrated, I quickly grabbed it off the nightstand so as not to wake up Gracelyn. I glanced at the clock, it said it was 5:30 am and I glanced at her sleeping soundly beside me. Looking at the caller id, I saw that it was Axel, one of my best men. Trying to rub my eyes to wake up, I asked, "what the hell is it?"
"Boss... I have some really bad news," he said and I immediately focused my full attention on him.
"What is that?" I asked.
"The man you took to the cell last night and interrogated... well... he's dead!" he replied, making me stand up in disbelief. I told them to keep an eye on him.
"What!" I snapped and heard as Gracelyn stirred and groaned in her sleep. I silently walked towards the bathroom door, closing it quietly behind me. "What did you just say to me?" I demanded of him.
"He's Dead," he whispers.
"How... how did he die? He was perfectly alive when I left." I growled out, right now I was beyond frustrated.
"He... he was shot, boss!" I heard him speak softly, I knew it was probably a difficult thing for him to admit to me.
I took in a deep breath trying to calm myself down, "You mean to tell me that someone managed to sneak in and just kill him? What was the man's name again... oh yeah Shane. Someone just snuck in and killed Shane, the only guy who could give me any information on what Jasper is planning?" I asked as I raked my fingers through my hair before punching the wall.
"But I do have a bit of good news boss..." he said carefully and I shake my hand, feeling a growing frustration.
"Axel, this better be good or I am going to march my ass out there and kill you myself!" I spat.
"The man who killed Shane has been captured, and he's sitting here tied down to a chair right now!" he says and I felt a bit relieved, at least they weren't totally incompetent. "You will never guess who it was."
"Who was it?" I demanded in a deep growl.
"Austin Rasmussen, boss!" he declares. A smile spread across my face as I heard his name.
"Tell me that again," I said, wanting to confirm that I had heard him correctly.
"Austin Rasmussen has been captured, boss!" he announced and I couldn't help but laugh.
"Bring that bastard to me, we happen to have a lot to discuss," I said, and I heard him let out a small chuckle.
"We are already on our way, see you in an hour!" he said before I quickly hung up. When I looked in the mirror, the images of what had happened several years ago replayed in my mind. In anger, I closed my eyes and clenched my jaw. "You better prepare yourself, Austin," I said
As I returned to my bedroom, and gather my things including my gun which I had stupidly left on the nightstand. I grabbed a change of clothes and glanced over back at Gracelyn, who was still sleeping. She was breathing softly and appeared to be dreaming so I blew her a kiss and silently left the room.
I waited patiently in my basement office for them to arrive. I yearned for his death, and all I could do was wait for the man who had tried to ruin my life so many years ago. "They are here boss," one of my men told me which immediately got me on my feet. As I made my way toward the room where they had put him. I took several long strides, my urge to see fear in his black orbs made me walk even faster toward the room.
"Boss," Axel said as he bowed his head in respect as I approached the room.
"Well, well, well... look who I've got my hands on now!" I chuckled after seeing him cuffed to the metal chair. Slowly, he glanced up and spat out at me. "It looks like someone doesn't have any manners," I say as I take the jacket that he spat on off and set it on a table in the corner.
"Stupid punk! So disgusting..." Axel yells as he kicked Austin in the gut knocking over the chair, which forced Austin to fall backward with it. He whimpered out in pain, which made me smile a little bit.
"Oh, that sound... it's like music to my ears!" I snarl, signaling to my men to pick him back up. I watched as they set him upright before punching him square in the jaw. He winced and cried out in pain again. Marcus stepped aside, and I saw a small drop of blood coming from his nose. "Tell me this Austin, how are you doing? How is life treating you?" I asked as if we were old friends reuniting after a long time apart.
"My life is much better without you! What, do you really think that you are a man now?" he snapped out, making me raise an eyebrow. "Untie me here and I will show you where you belong!" he said as he rolled his shoulder back and glared up at me in anger.
"Shut Up!" Axel interjected but I stopped him.
"Untie this stupid punk," I told them.
"But boss-"
I said, "Untie him now!" and reluctantly Axel stepped over to him and uncuffs his hands, setting him free from the chair. "Now, what did you say to me?" I asked him as I rolled up my sleeves preparing to beat his ass. I watched as he ripped the blood-stained shirt away from his body, revealing the tribal tattoo on his right chest identifying him as part of Jasper's crew. Standing up, he glared straight at me as he rolled his shoulders. Without saying anything, he lunged forward and attacked me with an overhanded right punch that was aimed at my jaw. Fortunately, I was able to dodge it and flew a punch right into his rib cage. He stumbles back but quickly regains his balance and lunges at me again driving his shoulder into my side, forcing me backward an inch and causing me to stumble a bit.
My men took a few steps forward placing themselves on guard. When I said, "Everyone steps back, he's mine!" they all immediately stepped back giving me enough room to fight Austin. "I'm going to kill you this time." I snarl and kicked him hard on his chest, knocking him backward and forcing him against the wall hard. I began punching his face over and over again, not caring if I killed him. In my mind I kept seeing the images of my girlfriend, the only woman I have ever loved being killed by his hands. Trying to keep him from breathing I wrapped my fingers around his throat, strangling and compressing his neck trying to prevent his lungs from being filled with air. Trying to get me to let go, he clawed at my hands. "L-let g-go of me!" he coughed.
I laughed at those words, the very things she had begged of him when he squoze the life out of her. "Aren't those the same words Alyssa once begged you?" I asked, clenching my jaw and pushing down hard making him thrash out like a little girl against my hold. I couldn't stop the tear that rolled down my cheek as I recalled how she begged me to save her as I was cuffed to a metal chair a few feet from where she was. I had tried everything to free myself that night so that I could stop him. I pressed harder on his neck causing the veins to pop out, his skin turning red his eyes widening as he realizes the end was near.
But suddenly he lands a good punch to my stomach, causing me to release my hold and he fell down on his knees coughing like a guy who smokes a pack a day. Gasping for air, he grabbed at his neck as I regained my composure. "Funny right? Did you ever think there would come a day that I would end your pathetic little life in the exact same way as you ended hers?" I asked.
He straightened up immediately, slamming me against the wall quickly holding his hands at my throat this time. Suddenly he is pulled back and thrown back down into the chair where two of my men handcuff him back to the chair. "Yeah and look at the little baby, crying for a dead BITCH!" he teased me smirking.
I narrow my eyes at him, "I must admit Austin that it amuses me to see you this way, you know that the end is near. I am going to end you, you are on the brink of death so you must be feeling really brave to be calling me that right now and cussing on her name." I say causing him to chuckle.
"Oh believe me when I tell you this Bell, in my profession I have learned not to take anything personally." he coughed some more. "I was just doing what I was hired to do." he smiles up at me, and I could feel the anger inside me grow.
"How can you say something like that, she was a woman! She was my girlfriend... I was going to propose to her. I had the ring and everything, and then you go and kill her in front of me refusing to let me save her!" I cried remembering how brutally he killed my beautiful Alyssa.
"I'm sorry dude, but it wasn't personal!" he said coughing some more.
"You're wrong, it was personal to me!" I snapped back stepping up to him, grabbing a hold of his jaw harshly. "Because of you I have a hard time sleeping at night, you deserve to die! You deserve to rot in hell for what you did to her. You forced me to suffer from the nightmares of her screaming for help. That is what you did to me, because of you not only did I lose the love of my life but I also lost my ability to love anyone, and I've been dying to get my hands on you. Now that I have you, prepare to die a slow and agonizing death." I snarled at him as I punched him in the Jaw one last time for good measure knocking him unconscious. "Let me know when he wakes up, I have a new wife to attend to right now," I growled out at my men before turning and walking out of the room.
