"It's time prince?" the voice of a servant cut through the thoughts of the young boy sitting and looking through the window.
Outside the window, he could see the distant space. Large dragons, world ending calamites, even birds were flying around the space. It was truly a strange thing to see from the window of his bedroom but, it was what he saw.
And he had gotten used to seeing this sight since he was born, his name was Ga'rel and today, he was going to see the emperor.
"Haa, do I really have to go?" he looked away from the window and gazed at his servant. Though the person he was talking to, was a servant, his looks was anything but. He looked like a model who the ladies chased after him. But in front of this young boy, he dared not have any wrong thoughts. Not because he could get his mind read, but because of the power he held.
"Yes, prince. It is compulsory."
"But I'm just the 2,000th prince!" Ga'rel spoke with an incredulous look on his face. It was really ridiculous that he was born as the 2000th child of the emperor as much as he wanted to see it.
"It is a law." The servant still spoke in a respectable tone.
"And I'm the youngest." He protested again. But he was still returned with the same tone and reply.
As they were still going back and forth with their talks, a loud sound echoed,
BOOOOOOOOOOINNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGG
"Haa..." Now Ga'rel knew it was really time and he couldn't ignore it, so he got up immediately and followed his servant.
As he passed the door to his room and left the house, he gazed at the familiar house he had been living in since he was born possibly for the last time. Even though he was seeing possibly for the last time, he wasn't allowed to feel emotional.
Because that was not the way of the Ra'gnar. They fought against everything to get what they wanted. They lived their lives knowing if they died, they wouldn't regret.
But that was them, Gar'el was different. He longed for something, he knew he did, but he didn't know what it was. Every day he spent looking at the space, he kept thinking about it, but it never came. So, he really hoped he could find it in the place he was going after today.
Now reaching the main palace, a placed he had never entered. He looked up but still couldn't see the top of the ancient looking palace. 'Palace of Creation' he muttered at the sight of the palace that lay in front of him. It was so huge, he looked like a speck of dust when standing before it.
From what he knew, the 'Palace of creation' had been built by the first emperor and from him, all other emperor's use their bodies to feed the palace. He still didn't understand what that meant. To be honest, he didn't know much about where he lived even though he knew the general knowledge.
The main palace was the size of a planet. It was stark black and any time he looked at it always gave off an ancient and mysterious aura. But without dwelling too much on it, he started climbing the stairs.
As he walked up the stairs, he couldn't help but shake his head in confusion. 'Even the fucking stairs is a fucking test.' He couldn't help grit his teeth as he climbed the stairs while withstanding the mysterious aura pressing on him.
He looked at the edge of the stairs and he could see large black statutes that were larger than the normal human in size. But Gar'el knew they weren't statues, they were guards that hadn't possibly moved from their spot in years.
"I swear, everything about this family is crazy." He couldn't help but scream out in frustration. He had lived here his whole life, but he still didn't feel like one of them. He couldn't understand why they couldn't just build a normal palace.
And after what seemed like two weeks of struggling, running, sweating and bleeding, he finally got to the top of the stairs.
"Haa...Haaa" He took heavy breaths as he lay on the ground. "Fuck, I-"
As he was about to keep cursing, the large black doors to the throne room swung open.
BOOOOM....BOOOOOM
"W-What?" he quickly picked himself up and looked at the swinging door. Even from the doors opening, it created shockwaves to the air.
He swallowed dry saliva and squeezed his sweaty hands. He didn't have to be told, it was already a sign that he could go in.
Tap...Tap...Tap
As he walked through the doors that were as tall as the full width of the dragons flying, he was still shaking his head.
The inside was even more ridiculous. 'Am I outside again?' that was his only thought. He could see another set of stairs in the distance that ran up, so high. The stairs was so high, he couldn't see the throne at the top. Talk less of the figure seated on it.
He didn't even want to see the emperor, everything was a test in this family. And looking at the emperor was just bringing more tests to him, which he wanted to avoid completely.
"GREETINGS, EMPEROR" Following the usual conduct, he knelt and greeted with his head bowed. He shouted because he didn't think the emperor would hear him from the distance.
"Who are you?" The voice shook the very fiber of his being. This voice was of the person seated on the throne in the highest steps. The entity who was said to be the ruler of existence and all of it's
