The routine of going to Iris's house became a thing until I made my Chi at an acceptable level.
I practiced using dark matter. It was ok now as I could protect myself with it decently now. But it was hard to attack with it. I didn't forget to practice basic magic either. I don't want to forget it.
Now I could changelessly cast fire magic to light up small things.
I could also use my manipulation magic countlessly to manipulate that small fire to change shape or change temperature.
I learnt that now I am powerful enough to beat an Intermediate Wizard easily and with enough luck, I can beat an Elite Wizard.
I wanted to become an Intermediate Wizard or at least become an Apprentice Wizard as I have the power to. But apparently, I am already an Apprentice Wizard but not an Intermediate Wizard as I don't have a Mana pool as big as one and I haven't done enough missions.
I decided to increase the mana pool by using spells continuously until my mana is finished.
I learnt spells to accelerate my healing, speed, strength, reflexes and many other things.
But the most important ones were to increase mana and chi regeneration.
Mana is produced because of mental energy and even a minute amount is needed for a Wizard's brain to function. So exhausting your mana pool completely will kill you. But that's not the same case with chi. Since chi is just using your physical energy, breathing and aura exhausting it was okay. But it is very hard for a magician to exhaust your chi reserves completely as when you do something like this for hours it will make your breathing out of control. It is possible to control this and do this.
It took me 9 days of continuous training to make me have a Mana pool that is acceptable by the standards of an Intermediate Wizard.
Then I went to the mission center for a mission. This time the mission was to kill a money laundering gang that was working in some city. One of the gang members attacked and killed a family who lives in Utopia. They were visiting the city for a vacation. In Utopia, they don't do this type of mission unless it involves one of their citizens and puts them in danger. I also had to destroy it. So I have to kill anyone who has any hands in it.
I took the mission and went to the portal station. Yes, I didn't know this stuff earlier. Iris didn't remind me as she was annoyed with the cursed book incident.
They had a portal open as a mage checked us. They will ask for identification, the reason we were going to the specific place and record it on a computer.
We also have to pay a fee of 10 dollars to use it. I went inside the portal and the next second I was in some kind of alley. It was night time and there were people drawing graffiti, smoking, drinking and doing many kinds of illegal stuff.
I quickly scooted past them as I went to the convenience store and bought a canned iced coffee.
I drank the can in one gulp as I felt I had a little more energy due to the caffeine.
I went to the location where the gang usually meets. I waited there for half an hour. Then I could hear some cars parking and coming into the hotel. They came inside and just walked into the elevator. I followed them while making myself invisible using Light Manipulation Magic.
In total, there were 28 guys. One of them went in front of the door of room D-17 and knocked on the door in a specific pattern.
The door opened and they all went in. They closed and locked the door as they discussed their business.
After a while, they finished talking and the party who was inside the room gave the money to the people I came with.
Then they left the hotel. They got into their cars and drove to multiple places, keeping small amounts of money there. Some of the guys stayed in these places. After going to the 4th place, they finally went to their main base. There they put the majority of the money and started to hide under the floor. Then they covered it with a carpet. Then all of the guys went to sleep except 2 guys who were standing outside as guards, they each had a pistol with 12 bullets.
I looked at the base as I saw the weapons, money, liquor and many other illegal things that were there. Seeing this I knew this was not a small business and some huge fellow was funding it. I went to the other bases they visited and checked that place too. ThPlacesaheavenewerhavelegal things compared to the main ones.
Then I went to a hotel nearby and slept there as I was tired of using speed acceleration to travel. The next morning I was still sore from yesterday's running. This was even when I am accelerating my healing factor. I was also very hungry. I went to a fast food restaurant and ordered enough food for 2 people in one sitting.
Then I went to the gang member's bases while being invisible and checked the place out. No one was there. I went to all the bases but only a few people were there compared to yesterday. I took a five-minute break as I thought things through. Then I went to a place at night and members were present meaning the gang members mostly worked during the night.
I monitored them for days to know who met, what businesses they do, who was their figurehead, and who funds their businesses. But I couldn't figure it out. I monitored them for 5 days straight but couldn't find out who funds them. I was about to give up and kill all of them and leave but then on the sixth day I met the person who funds them. There were two of them. One of them was the city's mayor and the other was the CEO of some company. I shot a video of them doing this deal. I took multiple pictures and videos of them doing this illegal business. After getting all the proof, I copied it to a pen drive. I made multiple pen drives and stored them. I am a person who knows that there is no good or bad person. I also understand the nuances between good and bad.
I knew that killing the mayor and CEO will cause multiple problems and will sometimes make them some kind of hero.
I decided to send these pen drives to multiple news centers as they would love to have a good catch like this but before that, I have to kill all these gang members too. I also have to have proof that they work in this money laundering business so that I can send this too.
I made a plan to kill them and to confuse the cops.
