First arc: Infection.

**Chapter 1**

*(In year 2011)*

Sun was on the top of the head.It was noon.

A man was running in the woods, leaving nothing but his scent and footprints behind. All of a sudden, he heard a dog barking behind him, but he was too scared to turn back. Suddenly, he came across a huge ravine with water running in it. It was full of life, and he was puzzled. He was able to see death from both sides, and then suddenly, a creature with four legs approached him. It was a dog covered in slimy purple liquid that had an unpleasant odour. Its skin looked like it had been burned. The dog startled him and made him fall on the ground.

"Help me! Specimen 016 is going to kill me. Come fast! I have a family to look after," he cried, but sadly,

he couldn't get any help. The dog suddenly became more furious and grabbed his throat so that he wouldn't be able to shout and die silently in despair.

**Present day (2023)**

Santosh Chauhan is a very hard-working boy and a science student. He studies in the morning and does part-time jobs at night.

After his father went missing 12 years ago because he was doing some research on the elixir of the dead from an ancient inscription, all he has as a family is his 14-year-old little sister named Sumitra.

They both lost their mom five years ago because of cancer.

"Big brother, you are about to turn 21, and still, you don't have any manners about washing your feet," Sumitra yelled at him.

"Sumitra, do you know something? Your behavior always reminds me of our mom."

As soon as he finished his sentence, tears shining like pearls started flowing from Santosh's eyes. Sumitra immediately hugged him and said while tears accumulated in her eyes,

"Big bro, everything will be alright. We will try our best to survive and find out what happened to our dad."
