"Zedon", Rose spoke softly. What a unique name! Though she hadn't heard of it before but she felt a strange attraction towards it. It was as if the sound of the name called out to her. Realizing how silly all of this sounded, she ignored the thought as she heard the voices downstairs.
"Ofcourse, Mr Zedon!" Mrs Williams laughed nervously, clearly intimidated by this handsome stranger. She adjusted her spectacles as she continued, "This is Mary."
She pointed to a lean looking girl. "She is very hard working. She is adept at handling the entire house work. I am sure you'll be delighted to have her."
Zedon looked at the girl while patiently listening to Mrs Williams. As she started showing him another girl, he stopped her.
"Mrs Williams! I am very much delighted by your professionalism." As Zedon said these words, Mrs Williams laughed sheepishly.
"But I have already chosen my house maid." As he said this, he pointed directly at Rose who was watching all this from her room upstairs.
Rose was taken aback. She gasped. How could this stranger choose her? She hadn't even met him yet.
"Rose?" Mrs Williams looked aghast. "But...But Mr Zedon, she is inexperienced. She can't even hold her cup of coffee for 2 seconds without spilling its contents!"
Rose's cheeks went red as she heard this.
Zedon gave a slight chuckle, "Mrs Williams, I am sure that you have the best of interests in mind but I'd like to try out "new" things." His eyes twinkled in mischievousness as Rose blushed upon hearing those words. She couldn't help but get a little annoyed at this man's audacity. What did he mean by "new" things? He was the one who was "new" to this town! He seems to be a rich spoilt brat.
Mrs Williams, although was astounded by Zedon's choice, quickly composed herself and said, "Very well then. Rose will be your housekeeping maid."
"Mrs Williams? You didn't ask me about it." Rose screamed.
"Rose! Please come downstairs and do not scream at me like that ever again." Mrs Williams replied annoyingly.
"Please Mrs Williams, do not scold her. I'll come back for her tomorrow." With this, Zedon gave a last glance at Rose and went away.
Meanwhile at Aquata, Queen Ariana was worried. "Zedon has gone! I have no idea where!"
All the queens had gathered in the common area of the Queens' Palace. It was a large hall where the queens spent their leisure hours enjoying the different sea - board games. The mermaid servants were always present to serve the Queens. There were beautiful couches for the Queens to rest and enjoy.
"Relax Ariana! The King has many duties. He must have gone for some urgent work." Brietta replied. She was lying down on a couch as her faithful maid, Denise massaged her shoulders.
"I am sure Annelise would know where he has gone. He tells her everything." Briettta gave a sideways glance to the blonde haired queen.
"Who me? Are you joking Brietta? If the Chief Queen doesn't know where the King is, how can a normal queen like me know?" Annelise spoke sarcastically. One of the mermaid servants was combing her long, blonde hair.
"I wish I could use my powers to find out but Zedon is a powerful magician himself. Even I am unable to locate him." Ariana spoke a little tensed.
"I think we all should calm down." Julia intervened. "I am sure there must have been something important. Let us wait for him. He should be back in some time."
Meanwhile as the four queens were busy discussing the whereabouts of the King, Queen Bella was in her room. She stood near the window, looking outside. Her room had a beautiful view of the palace garden.
"Pardon me Queen Bella but why don't you go out with the other queens in the common room?" Diana, her maid asked. She was not only her maid but also her friend and her confidante.
"There is no room for me among those high class queens, Diana. You very well know that. Even if I go, I'll be ignored. No matter how hard I try, my past will remain with me." Bella swam towards her bed and sat down, with a sad look on her face.
"My Queen, you were a slave in the past, now you are a royal. The other queens need to understand this." Diana replied.
"I can't complain if my own husband looks down upon me. Zedon has never accepted me as his wife. To him, I am still that slave who was gifted to him years ago by a rich merchant." She continued sadly.
"Oh my dear Queen!" Diana spoke sympathetically, "I so wish that he sees the real you and what a wonderful person you are."
Bella smiled sadly in response, "I wonder where has he gone now. I heard that he is not in the palace."
Zedon entered his palace. The servants immediately rushed around, whispering and murmuring that the King had arrived.
Daniel, a blonde haired merman approached him, "Zedon, where were you? We all were looking for you. Did you send the human away?" Daniel was a childhood friend of Zedon who was made the Chief Advisor to the King.
"Sometimes I feel my ministers worry too much." Zedon gave a mischievous smile. "What purpose a human has in our land anyway. I had to send her away. I just got a little preoccupied with something."
Daniel gave a smile, "Let us see what your Queens have to say about your "little preoccupation", Zedon."
Zedon chuckled, "You know how mermaids are. Eager to keep their husbands in front of their eyes the whole day. I'll go and meet them."
Daniel nodded in response. Zedon went to the Queens' Palace which was right beside his own. The Queens' Palace was protected by mermaid guards. As soon as he entered, one of the guards rushed to the common area to inform the Queens.
"Your Highnesses!" She bowed, "King Zedon is entering the palace and is headed here."
The Queens immediately got up and broke into happy cries of relief. Zedon entered the common area and as soon as he entered all the maids left the area. Now only Zedon and the four queens were left in the common room.
"Zedon!" The Queens spoke excitedly and gathered around him.
"Where were you?" Brietta asked.
"And where is the human?" Ariana raised her eyebrows.
"The human came back to life and is gone now. I went on a tour to my kingdom. I realized it has been years since I went on a tour alone. A King learns more when he visits his subjects as a commoner." Zedon replied in a serious tone.
"Now my Queens, let us retire to our chambers. I am sure the day must have taken a toll on all of you. The Full Moon festivity was a success and I am proud of each one of you for all your generous gifts." He smiled at them. The Queens were happy that he was back and went to their respective chambers.
Later, Zedon was passionately kissing Annelise in her chamber. His big hands were groping her back and he tightly embraced her body. He slid his tongue in her mouth as she moaned in pleasure. Their tongues danced together in unison and he bit her lower lip causing her to moan. He then proceeded to her chin which he licked and bit. He then planted kisses on her neck and sucked at a spot near her collarbone. He quickly untied her bra and threw it on the floor. He pushed her on the bed and began honouring her with kisses from her neck to her breasts. He sucked on her left nipple and lightly bit her. Annelise's back arched in pleasure.
He then proceeded on her right nipple and covered it with his mouth as he slowly sucked and then lightly gave a bite. He then quickly licked it. He then placed his hands on both her breasts and gave them a light squeeze. As she moaned in pleasure, he covered her mouth with his own and his tongue entered her mouth, exploring her insides. Later, they both were lying on Annelise's bed with Annelise slowly closing her eyes, tired by what had transpired between them.
As she opened her eyes, she touched her silk blanket. Her eyes moved over to her bra lying on the floor. She blushed as she recollected the memories of last night. Wanting to see his face first thing in the morning she rolled over to the other side but to her dismay, he was gone!
