Chapter 1 - The Beginning

In the world of cultivation, strength was everything. The strong ruled while the weak suffered. Century's ago earth was conquered by powerful deities who appeared from nowhere. After many years earth entered a prosperous phase, mana one of the energy's of the world was introduced by this same powerful beings who ruled it.

This brought some drastic changes into the society at large, giving birth to new generations who have mastered the art of manipulating mana, one of the forces that flowed within all living things.

In a small village nestled in the outskirt of small town in the Sky kingdom, a young boy named liam lived a life of simplicity. He was a diligent farmer son who spent his days helping his parent tend to the crops and his nights studying the art of manipulating mana. Despite his hard work, Liam was never able to progress beyond the Mortal realm of copper.

Born into poverty and hardship, Liam knew that his only hope for a better future was to become a powerful being.

Someone who can harness the energy and mana of the world around him and use it to achieve his goals.

After considering all possibilities on what he could do to better his situation he made an effort, to join the North sky pavilion, a nine tier sect , which was located on the outskirt of Northern path of the sky Kingdom.

Notes:

<~>Sects are grades from a scale of 1 to 9, 9 been the lowest while 1 the highest.

Liam was accepted as a trial disciple, these were the lowest-ranked disciples within the sect, who haven't proven their worth or talent. They may be given menial tasks or duties, and have limited access to resources and training.

However, they are still considered members of the sect and may have the opportunity to advance if they prove themselves.

Usually all 'low copper' and mid - copper stages begin their cultivation journey as trial disciples unless they were given recommendations by sect or have some special talent.

While those that have entered the stage of high copper stage join the sect as outer disciples.

During the sect examination liam found out he lacked talent for cultivation, which was one of main criteria that determines how far one can cultivate and make a break through in life.

Lacking cultivation talent, he felt like an outsider in the world of cultivators. His lack of talent made it difficult for him to sense the energies of the universe and cultivate to higher levels.

Despite his lack of talent for cultivation, he refused to give up on his dream of becoming a powerful cultivator. Many looked down on him for his lack of talent, but he refused to let that discourage him.

Without cultivation talent, he had to work twice as hard as other cultivators to make progress, but he was determined to overcome this obstacle. Though he lacked talent, he was still able to learn techniques through sheer determination and hard work.

Liam was able to compensate with his sharp mind and quick reflexes, making him a formidable opponent in battle against low copper stages and beast.

Liam awoke early in the morning. He rinsed his mouth and washed his face before grabbing a broom from the room's corner and leaving.

He stretch out his body while standing at the door. He closed his eyes for a brief period of tranquility as he cast a peek at the horizon's white dawn. He finally opened his eyes and began sweeping up the dirt and leaves that had fallen to the ground while waving the broom in his hand.

He was dressed in a simple clean and worn out shirt and trousers, the outfits made the young boy look older than normal. The outfit was a hand me down shirt from his senior brother also joined a cultivation sects.

His composure was unwavering, even in the face of the most tedious work.

His mastery over the broom was almost otherworldly, as if he had a supernatural connection to it.

His movements were so fluid and graceful, it was like watching a work of art come to life.

As a Trial Disciple of the northern Sky Pavilion Liam had joined the Sect two years back and has been cultivating since then.

Unfortunately, all he could manage to do was temper his body to an absurd degree. Unlike his fellow apprentices, who entered the sect the same time he did and had already surpass him, he had yet to find his breakthrough opportunity.

Under the guidance of the Sect's elders, they had each had their own chance to shine and had achieved great success in their cultivation.

After Liam finished sweeping, he would also be tasked by his fellow disciples to wash their robes and clothes worn during training or outing. At some point in time some shameless ladies would even drop their pants, bra and other under garments for washing.

At first Liam had refused to wash their robes after all as a man he had his own pride and creed he followed, but after a certain incident where one of the sect elders was involved he was forced to wash their dirty robes as punishment.

Just like Liam there were also some fellow disciples who also did the chores but unlike liam they love washing robes of females cultivators especially the female undergarments, one could say they were shameless perverts.

Liam would always be careful when completing his chores for the day, since he wouldn't want to redo the task because he missed a spot when sweeping or a stain when washing, since some outer disciple would try to find fault because he was weak and lacked talent.

Liam would always go down the mountain to train, temper his body and hunt wild animals without cultivation to gain experience and food.

As a trial disciple, the sect does not provide resources to them, and likewise as a copper stage Mortal he requires food for survival.

During one of his trips down the mountain to procure food, some fellow outer disciple saw him.

"Look over there senior brother isn't it that trash talent, it been while since the last time I saw him"

One the outer disciple said as they passed were Liam was hunting after coming back from their mission.

"What a waste of space I have no idea why the sect would accept such a useless person even as a trial disciple" another chimed in

"Let's go I'm sure we all have better things to do that stare at trash talent. I have to report to elder Jin who sent me on an important mission". Morak said while hissing

After the disciple left the area Liam was still battling with the three horned boar that had three horns and a thick brown hide, that rendered his attack useless even though he could sense others watching him, he couldn't afford to divert his attention from the fight.

'Ah the knife is blunt, I will need to sharpen it one's I'm done here, and maybe get something better, to make hunting easy' Liam taught as he fought the three horned boar. he had saved enough from hunting for the past few years.

He stabbed the boar in its ass when the boar did a full charge and missed him due to it's pace, this made the boar go into a frenzy.

While giving Liam the chance to stab the boar in both eye causing the boar to loose it sight leaving it vulnerable for Liam to finish it off.

The boar roared in anger, and made last ditch effort to take down the person who injured it.

Liam skillfully dodge it mad charge, and stabbed it again in the Anus, if the three horned boar could curse it would have cursed Liam for using it ass a whack n hole tool few minutes later the boar died due to blood loss.

Liam spent half an hour skinning the hide of boar, cutting out the eatable part and horn to sell for some money.

He had made sure to clean off the carcass of the beast to avoid attracting beast with higher stages.

This was the only area within the mountain range where he could hunt beast without cultivation safely.

After his hunt he climbed up the sect to only to meet his friend in front of his small wooden shed.

"Good day Liam I came earlier to look for you, but you weren't around " yuan said.

"Oh, I had woken up early today to hunt since I'm currently in need food and cultivation resources"

"So what brings you here" liam said

"Ah yes, cousin Lan said I should give you this"

Yuan handed over a basket to Liam while explaining when he had received the package

"Thank you very much, I really appreciate your help" Liam said

"No problem, I'm just helping out a friend, I might also be in need in future"

Yuan a fellow disciple like Liam could be considered a friend of Liam after all they were both birds of the same feathers or one could say it was their circumstance that brought about such friendship but unlike Liam who had no talents yuan had low talent. He could only cultivate cultivate to a low ranked stage of mid bronze.

After yuan left, Liam entered his small made hut.

Note : The sect does not provide housing or resources for trial disciple only space were they could cultivate, trial disciple were expected to fend for themselves to teach them on how the world works.

Liam checked what was in the basket only to find resource used to temper the body and clean impurities from the body.

Liam was thankful after all without this timely resources sent by Lan he might not have the necessary resources to temper his body, even though he could buy resources from the money he got when hunting, it wasn't enough cover his expenses after all, the materials gotten from low level beast where not worth much.

Liam made necessary preparation for his body tempering.

"What do i do now I need to break through to the next level, I have been stuck for the past 3 years, why am I born talentless" Liam lamented as he prepared the large wooden bathtub, since he was broke he couldn't afford a better one.

As Liam entered the boiling water that was greenish in color due to the herbs dissolving, he felt a stinging pain all over his like someone had inserted thousands of needles all on his body.

He always felt like this every time he soaked in the tempering liquid after due to his lack talent and some other problem he could could not cultivate normally, he would always have to forcefully absorb the essence into his meridians storing the excess energy, though this was suicidal and could potentially damage his meridians. He did not care, all he wanted was to do was to temper his body to an absurd degree where he could mid stage copper users.

After spending a few hours in the liquid he got out from Bath, he planned to use the tempering liquid for next 3weeks Hopefully by then he might Acquired the means to replenish it.

Liam cleaned his body, walked towards his bed and slept peacefully like a child.
