After Belle's transformation, many eyes were on him as he charged towards the incoming rhinos. "Is he crazy? His transformation and telekinesis are pretty cool, but he is still mortal rank. At most, it can keep him level with a single catalyst level monster, not with that horde. Besides, it is noted that Shanty town rhino monsters are a bit intelligent, not to mention the addition of the Ascendant rank monsters," Roberto, the Obsidian representative, said. "Kids are still kids no matter how mature they think," Biles, the Guardian representative, said.
Boom! Belle crashed headfirst into the first rhino monster. He hadn't actually transformed into any normal ape, but the ape in Ethereal City. Something deep within him seemed to be screaming for that transformation. The spatial zone really affected him as their representative, he just didn't know. Grrrrh! Belle gibbered as he lifted the rhino by the horn and proceeded to ragdoll it by using his massive body to hit the others that were closing in on him. But after a few hits, Boom! The ground busted open where Belle's massive ape body had been standing. With the agility of an ape, he quickly leaped into the air, evading an attack from one of the Ascendant rank rhinos.
"Okay, that is not normal for any mortal rank," a young man in a three-piece suit said. He was a guardian to one of the participants. "He seems to have some sort of precognition. If that's not another ability, then he must have been in a lot of battles to develop that," another person said. "Normal transformation couldn't give him all that super strength, right? He just ragdolled a rhino," someone else added. What they didn't know was that Belle should be seen as the strongest monster of the Ethereal County spatial zone. Even without being in it, being a representative meant he was the ruler there, and the ape form, which was the Ethereal County monster's form, was his biggest transformation since he could harness more power using it. As for being able to time the attack of the Ascendant rhino and dodge it effortlessly, his terrakinesis power connected him effortlessly to the earth, allowing him to read movement on it.
"Your brother is really interesting," Biles said, looking at Elizabeth. He noticed that he wasn't the only one who thought so.
Seeing all the eyes on her, Elizabeth could only give a wry smile. She hadn't thought much about Belle's survival and had only been worried when he was injured. But truthfully, Belle had caught her off guard and surprised her more than he had done to everyone else there. "Telepathy, telekinesis, transformation, voice attack, and maybe precognition with near invulnerability. How many powers does he have? He might as well have my dream omnipotent position," Elizabeth thought to herself.
Turning back to the big screen, while still in the air, Belle brought his two hands together, clasping his palms tightly and hitting the rhino that was at his landing point. Then, using the force of the attack to push himself up, he barely dodged the attack of the second Ascendant rank rhino that had launched an attack on his landing spot. "To predict an attack like that should be an ability, not something a kid can develop through battles. I see, if anyone is truly going to survive, it should be him. He might be the strongest kid in this district," Roberto said, watching earnestly as Belle prepared to land again.
Landing this time around, more than five rhinos had gathered at the landing spot. But just as Belle was landing, the bodies of those rhinos were lifted through what everyone guessed to be Belle's telekinesis, flying backward and colliding with the closest rhinos in full force.
"Shouldn't his telekinesis work a bit less on catalyst-level beasts?" someone said.
"I doubt a late-stage catalyst human could beat him," another replied.
"Your brother sure knows how to avoid overdoing things," Biles said.
"Yeah, he sure does," Elizabeth said with a smile. She had told Belle to show a bit of power, but this was already too much. At this rate, she was afraid that a lot of big sharks would become interested.
Back in Shanty Town, Belle was already thinking that he was controlling his powers enough. He had been dodging the attacks of the ascendant rhinos instead of taking them head-on, thinking that it would appear more in line with the books if he only battled the catalyst level. Who could have told him that he was causing such a commotion on the outside?
"He might be the biggest competition we will face all our lives," Adam said, who had landed with Ellaine and noticed that the rhino monsters seemed less interested in them.
"He is definitely not normal," Chloe added, her whole body still covered in fire.
"Exactly! You should have seen where we first met him, sleeping peacefully in an open area in the forest. Anyway, why are you still using your power when it seems like we don't exist in the eyes of the rhinoceros?" Greg said, laughing.
"The flames burnt away my clothes, so..." Chloe began to explain.
"If it rains now, will the fire be put out?" Greg asked, causing Chloe to glare at him and Ellaine to burst out laughing. He really did have a perverted mind.
"Shouldn't we help him?" Liana asked.
"It seems like he's making it look so easy for you."
"If we rush into that fray, the possibility of helping him will be almost nonexistent compared to the possibility of us being a burden. Yeah, you, Chloe, and I might be able to help a bit, but I don't think your brother and Ellaine will," Adam said.
"Yeah, I can't help. My power is charm, and my second ability is not powerful enough. It can be seen through immediately," Ellaine admitted.
"Let's just hope someone from the academy comes fast enough. I don't know why all the rhino monsters seem hell-bent on attacking only him, though," Adam said as they all looked at each other, lost for words.
