Chapter 7 - Chapter 6

Chron finally started to Level Up his Time Magic. He currently had three Time Magic Spells, Time Acceleration, Visions of the Past, and Rewind. Rewind would not be used for training purposes, it's a one in a month mistake corrector, and he would only use it when absolutely needed.

The first thing Chron wanted to test was how much mana does the skill need to operate. So without further ado, he used Time Acceleration in the space in front of him. The area the Skill covered was only enough to fit him when he was standing right up. He can sense the area, what he didn't expect was he can also sense how much time passed inside the area. Now that that topic was brought up, Chron finally realized how weird it was that he knows how much time he spent on his activities was, he also never noticed it before because he was too focused on the activities he had that time.

Chron thought about all the possibilities of why he could sense how much time has passed. The conclucion he came to was that it was a passive ability that stemmed from his affinity with Time Magic. That's all he could think of now, it could be confirmed once he got another Elemental Magic Skill.

While still thinking, the Time Acceleration was still running in the background, and now that Chron finished his monologue, he can focus on his Skill Experiment again. From the moment that he used the Skill up to the current moment, 3 minutes passed and 15 Mana was deducted. This all meant that he could only keep the Skill running for 20 minutes, before he runs out of Mana. Now that he knew how much the Skill Costs, the next thing he wanna check was how much time he needed to regenerate all of his Mana.

So he waited for another 17 minutes, while waiting he also found out that while the Skill was running, he couldn't regenerate any Mana, which means that he couldn't keep the Skill running forever. When the 17 minutes was over, Chron then waited a bit more to know how much time he needs to regenerate 1 Mana. The wait was not long because after a minute passed, he regenerated 1 Mana, which means that he would need about 1 hour and 40 minutes to regenerate all his Mana naturally. He couldn't stay idle for that long so he decided that he should once again think of Skills he could learn with all that he had at the moment.

It took about 30 minutes before he remembered a Skill that was his go to relaxation whenever his mind was in turmoil, and based on manhuas he read in his free time, this Skill might help him speed up his Mana Regeneration. The Skill was Meditation. Though, Chron would like to put a new twist on his Meditation Routine, which was to try to sense Mana in his surroundings and maybe take them for his own use.

So without further ado, Chron found a good nice corner spot in the cave and cleaned it a bit before he got into his favorite Meditation Position, which was with his head on the floor and his body being supported by the walls, so he wouldn't fall in case he became too focused on his Meditation. What Chron have just done might seem a bit weird, and should not be tried at home without a professional taking care of you, but it was the position Chron felt that brought him the most effects while meditating.

The position was a very good way to get more oxygen into your brain, which would bring your brain lots of benefits, one of them is a clearer mind, which helps him focus on sensing his surroundings more. It would not be good to keep the posture like that for more than 3 minutes though, so once three minutes were up he would then lay on his back and continue his meditation that way.

Chron only has three minutes to stay at his current posture, so he didn't waste any time and tried to clear all the thoughts in his mind. When his mind was cleared of all distracting thoughts, he then focused on the nature around him, this part was a bit hard but luckily he had done this step a hell lot of times.

After a minute, Chron finally sensed his surroundings; the dust, the hard rock... well that's all he could feel at the moment. The process would have taken longer without the focus his posture was benefitting him at the time, and he would also need to sense Mana before his three minutes were up.

To make it easier to sense Mana, Chron focused on searching for something his past world never had, and it would hopefully lead him to sensing Mana. After another minute, he finally felt something, it's like air but is a bit thicker and is moving in waves. This air-like substance is all coming from a single direction and is spreading outward, and he would want to investigate where it came from after his Meditation session was done. Chron also observed that the substance is freely going through his body and coming out a bit less thicker, this gave him an idea on what to do next to achieve his goal of faster Mana Regeneration.

His time was up, and if he does not want to suffer adverse effects from his upside down posture, he needs to change postures again. Doesn't mean that he would need to break his Meditation though, he had also done Meditation posture changes a hell lot of times.

Once he's in his next position, he then focused on where the mana goes through when it goes inside him. His Mana observation took a bit long - about 30 minutes, before he could be certain that the mana comes in his pores, then his body would absorb some of it as if it was nutrition, however the strength of the absorption was not strong enough to absorb all the mana going through before it would again come out of his pores.

This gave him a lot of ideas on how to start strengthening his Mana Absorption and how he could use the Mana to strengthen him. The first idea was to use either his heart or brain as a central point to gather Mana - like a dantian, because they both have connections to all of the parts of his body, which would enable him to distribute Mana all across his body. The second was to fuse all the Mana he absorbed into his Blood, and the Blood would automatically deliver Mana all across his body.

Both ideas was very good, however Chron does not want to risk his heart or brain just to test if his hypothesis was plausible, given that what he was about to do, was unclaimed territory. So he settled on making his second idea come through, for now.

Chron waited for the Mana Waves to go through him, which happens once every minute, and when the Waves arrived, he focused his all on making his Blood absorb all the mana it could, which did not work even after about an hour passed, at this point Chron's Mana is already full so he decided to stop his testing for now and try Visions of the Past.

When the Skill was activated, Chron's mind was flooded by all the information of what he had done the past hour, and when he looked at his Mana, it was still at 90, which means that at the moment he could look about 10 hours in the past, which is what he did. When his Mana was depleted again, The pop-up he has been waiting for finally showed.
