Chereads / Dungeon Master : Tale of a Monster / Chapter 25 - chapter 25

Chapter 25 - chapter 25

for the next thirty minutes, Argholas is sitting on his self made throne. he is immersing himself with his decision of being the last big boss.

but it only last that much, as after that Argholas got bored and decide to do anything else.

"Dungeon Core, keep the display on. i want to watch what they do while i try something else. "

"Command accepted.

Maintain display for Dungeon Boss purpose. "

satisfied with the display, Argholas begin to spend his time training his magic and body.

he tried movement techniques and try to find a new way of using his magic. but there is only so much he can do without anymore information.

so with saddened heart, Argholas just keep on his training in monotone.

***

for the next two week Argholas only watch the 8 remaining personal struggle in his dungeon. they all looks fine at the first few days, but then they begin to meet his Deformed Mutant. that is when they got in trouble.

turn out Argholas's Deformed Mutant is a strong creature not like Argholas think. personally and individually, the mutant is almost like human. therr is only so much they can do.

but then they group up. and things begin to become interesting. the Deformed Mutant is actually capable of simple communication, using simple gestures and sounds. then they also capable of working together. creating simple ambush plans that is very effective, even against the super human.

and then something amazing happen, the Deformed Mutant capable of making priority and know the value of their life. the wounded mutant will back away and hide while a healthy one will engage in battle, be it their part of the plan or just to cover the wounded one.

and that is how, after a long boring week, what started as 8 remaining elite human soldiers finally end up with 4 survivors.

they all strong and cunning. they know when to hide and when to engage in any situation. even when they are surrounded or on the final step to finish their rescue, they prioritize their own safety first.

it is still my win tho.

my kidnaped human all died, be it due to starvation or due to fight. the starved one body then become a new Deformed Mutant while their soul turn into Evil Spirits.

while those who died fighting, all turn into Deformed Mutant and none of them become Evil Spirits.

Argholas kind if contemplating a bit about his victims fate. he try to see from his victim perspective and think that the one who died by fighting is the better creatures then the one died on starvation.

at least the fighting one died with their soul free to continue into the next cycle, whatever it is. while the one that died on starvation is eternally trapped here in his dungeon, their body become his slave while their souls is damned.

Argholas shake his head and clear his mind, there is no need to pity the weak human as they are only counted as food for his dungeon.

Argholas have other things that need to be considered, and that is magic power.

turn out the 4 that died this week is already counted as level 3 and they all worth fortune. in total Argholas get 40.000 magic power, bring his total amount into 43.500 magic power.

"Dungeon Core, show me the list of dungeon requirement that is available for the amount of magic power i have."

"Command accepted.

Generating List for Dungeon Boss."

[

- extra Dwellers : 5.000 magic power

- Resource generation (random) : 20.000 magic power

- treasure generation (random) : 10.000 magic power

- treasure generation (specific) : 30.000 magic power

]

for now Argholas didn't need anymore Dungeon Dwellers as he just got about 140 new dwellers from his victims. so Argholas can ignore the Extra Dwellers option for now.

now Argholas is in dilema. he can generate 2 resources in the same time, but he don't know if the resources he generate will be useful or not. and he cannot even check the kind of resources he can get since Dungeon Core didn't provide such information for him.

or Argholas can generate treasure. he can get 4 random one, or one specific and one random treasure combination. he also didn't know what kind of treasure he can get. but at least since it is a treasure, he believe it is not something that is useful only for one side.

Argholas cannot really decide what to choose. he need resources and know that human also wish for resources from dungeon. the more precious his resources is, the more his dungeon will likely to remain standing. but treasure also an important aspect of dungeon and without it, a dungeon is nothing more than hell on the surface of the planet.

it takes another week for Argholas to consider his choices, a week that is used by the last 4 elite human to find their way and finally reach close enough to Argholas tower to finally see it. they only need few hours of walking to finally challenge Argholas and try to defeat him.

but Argholas also grow up on these last 2 weeks. it might not be much on physical or magical side, but in mentality, Argholas is now more mature and wise. he know what he lack when he fight with Kili and Lavita. and he know he will not underestimate his enemy like he did with Kili and Lavita.
