Lucian climbed to the rooftop and followed the trail of splendid blood.

The trail of blood led him to a flat hollow on the roof, where another three pairs lay dead, their bodies mutilated by each other, with blood and flesh hanging from each of their mouths.
But most striking of all was the figure that stood amongst the dead.
Lucian turned off his 'Soul Sight' immediately to ensure that he wasn't seeing just another person, the moment 'Soul Sight' deactivated, the figure vanished from sight.
