An assistant from the council came to Lucian and directed him to a room where he would get to have one on one meetings with some of the members of the council.
A heavy wooden door led to the room adjacent to the council room, the room was a cosy and inviting place, with a large fireplace that crackled and warmed the air.
The walls were lined with bookshelves, filled with ancient tomes and scrolls. A plush sofa and several armchairs were arranged around a low table, where a silver tray held a teapot and cups.
A thick carpet covered the floor, muffling his footsteps as he crossed the room, Diego followed behind him and took a position below the only window in the room it was small and high, letting in some natural light but also ensuring the privacy of the room.
