Salem pov
I was in the Shogun's office getting my award money after a job well-ish done. The members of the Oni-Dragon did talk after some convincing (torture) from Kazuki he explained that he long with his squad were sent after it but his squad was wiped out and the battle lead the Abaddon to the city. All in all it was still their fault and he was taken away by the imperial soldiers.
"Again, thank you for your assistance Salme-san." Ishida nodded.
"You're welcome. And thank you for the award." I grinned a little as I counted my money.
"So, you're leaving already?" asked Kazuki.
"Yeah, it's been two days, so I need to hit the road."
"Understandable but before I need to ask you something. Kazuki gave me a brief report of your mission and he informed me that you can accurately track them, but a Lacrima you possess is able to seal them.
"You damn snitch." I gave Kazuki a deadpan look.
"Come now Salem-san you didn't think I would keep vital information like that to myself now did you?" He jokes lightly.
"Argh whatever." I rolled my eyes. "So, what do you need?"
"Salem-san the Oni-Dragons are one of the most dangerous dark guilds here in Tiyo and to my knowledge they have captured these creatures and are in their possession currently. I just want to know if it's possible if you can track their whereabouts right now?"
"You got a map?" I asked and he reached the bottom of his desk and gave me a large map. "I don't know if this is their main base or not but most of them including the one I watched capture are here." I marked the area on the map.
"Thank you, the information will help us drastically." He spoke and we shook hands.
"As my father said we thank you for your help Salem-san." Kazuki bowed in thanks. "One more thing you wanted to polish your martial arts right?" I nodded at his question. "There's a Tengu by the name Miyamoto and he lives in a giant dojo in Mount Fuji, the biggest mountain in Tiyo. If you pass his test, he might be willing to help in your training." He gave me a picture showing what the dojo looked like.
"Thanks for that big guy. Well, I'll be seeing y'all around." I gave a two fingered salute and jumped out of the window and made the dragon wings appear on my back and flew upwards.
"Hm before I go." I smiled and took out my phone and took a picture of the village while it was in the air. "I think some memories won't hurt."
After some more pictures were taken
"Okay done." I had taken about ten more pictures and began to fly out away from the village.
"Oh~ Don't you want to take a photo of me too~." I heard a familiar voice speak and I turned and saw Inari floating just a few metres away from me. "Hello Salem-chan." She waved.
"Um hey Inari good to see you." I flew towards her not bothering to hide my phone as she basically saw it already.
"Ara~ Ara those are a lovely pair of dragon wings you have there Salem-chan." She inspected my wings rather than my phone. "So that's the method your mysterious boss gave you and the mysterious Lacrima Kazuki-san talked about. She floated near me and inspected my phone. "Oh, about we take this discussion somewhere more private."
I found myself in a beautiful Japanese styled room. I freaked out a little due to the sudden teleportation and mini explosions circled my hand on reflex.
"Ara~ Ara~ Don't worry Salem-chan I don't want to hurt nor take the Lacrima from you. I just want to ask a few questions, that's all I promise." She slid open a door revealing a lot of food on a table and two five tailed Kitsune. "Will you please join me for a meal~."
"Alright, you have my attention." I complimented while retracting everything and I sat down in front of her. I looked around the table and was glad there were spoons and forks I could use. One of the Kitsune came and sat down next to me and I made my cat tail appear to stroke its head which it looked happy about.
"Now Salem-chan I wanted to continue our discussion from last night but before tell me how much you know about other worlds exactly?" she asked while filling her bowl.
"Well, I know that there's the demon realm, divine realm, celestial realm, Edolas and the lands of the dead." I answered while putting some rice and octopus in mine.
"Hm, you got the basics at least but there are a lot more which mirror Earthland, but that fraud and copycat has been going around causing havoc in a good number of them for whatever reason." Inari rubbed her head and I guess she must have been talking about Selene. "But that's not the topic of our discussion. You see Salem-chan you're aware of youkai right Salem-chan." I nodded at that. "Well, here's the thing most of us Yokai originate from a world called Elentear."
"Elentear huh. Mind explaining further please?"
"Elentear is a world which you can say is the opposite of Edalos as instead of having no magic the world is so overflowed with magic. So much so that magic threatens to destroy the planet every so often if it's not taken care of. Also it is richer in an attribute known as spiria which is used to utilise spirit arts." She explained.
"Spirit arts huh?" I muttered as I began thinking about Shinigami from bleach. "Do they also exist here in Earthland?"
"Yes they do, though rare they do exist mostly here in the Eastern continents especially Tiyo in fact I think you've witnessed it in action already through Kazuki."
"Wait so if you're originally from Elentear then how did y'all end up here in Earthland?" I asked as I finished my octopus's dish then went for the steaks and noodles.
"You see, around a thousand years ago a strange dimensional rift had hit my home world which in turn opened a hole in space-time, sucking a good amount of youkai out of Elentear and we ended up here in Earthland."
"Wait dimensional rift." This sounded familiar.
"Yes, and till this day I don't know who it happened or the source of it was. Even the other deities were in the dark of what happened though we had our theroies. But since you're familiar with these monsters which seem to be coming from other planes of existence I'm not familiar with, I have a hunch you and this mysterious boss of yours might have an idea of what happened."
I wasn't sure if they were connected but the dots were there a little bit. I weighed my options. I just couldn't say that I was from a world where everything here is considered a show. But since Inari seems to have experience with cross-dimensional travel shenanigans I could bend the truth a little bit.
"I'm not sure if they're connected but my boss said that people from other worlds got incredibly powerful and got high off the powers they possessed, causing them to invade other worlds. So long story short they managed to put them down, but the damage was already done, and their actions screwed up space-time but from what he told me they were still fixing the damage." I rubbed my head.
Inari put her bowl down and looked really deep in thought about something, then let out a heavy sigh while rubbing her eyes followed by a light chuckle.
"Thank you for the available information, Salem-chan. So, about a little reward for all the help you provided me and my village."
"Well." I muttered as I looked at Kitsune five tails. "You get more of these so I could you know…" I pointed at it.
"Ara~ Ara~ You want a kitsune as a companion, or you want to use your take-over magic on it~." She mused.
"You want to take over my soul!?" Kitsune said with betrayal in its voice.
"Relax, not you." I tried to calm the panicking fox, but it looked at me in surprise that I could understand it, but Inari did seem to care.
"That's an awfully big reward you're asking Salem-chan from me but I could do you one better." She smirked deviously and her eyes turned red.
"Hang on, I don't like that look on your face lady so back up a little." I said but she appeared beside me and wrapped her hands around my shoulders and pressed my head on her boobs a little.
"Too late Salem-chan there is no stopping this now you want a Kitsune form then I'll give it to you~." She said saucily. "And besides this will give you'll need this for the special request I have for you so you can call this me paying upfront for your services."
"Oh what's that?" I ask.
"I believe it's still in your line of work." She showed me a picture of a red nine tailed kitsune. "This one. I want her dead specifically." She said in a very stern and serious voice. "Now hold still Salem-chan~." The sexy but mischievous smirk on her face spelled no good.
"Hold on, let me at least mentally prepare first!"
"Nope~."
Elsewhere at one of Oni Dragon's bases
Ryuzen stared at the vial which contained a green liquor in intrigue. He then turned towards the beautiful dark-skinned and right hand of Oroboros trap.
"Well, I take it our product has met your satisfaction Ryuzen?" Blakesely asked the Oni-Dragon leader.
"Hm very much Blakesey-san." He smirked and put the vile in the pocket of this robe and walked over to the woman and brought out his hand. "Pleasure for doing business with you Ouroboros Trap I trust that our products will also be satisfactory as well."
"Well, my Mistress can be very picky so for your sake you better hope it does." Blakesey shook the man's hand.
"Believe me when I say she will be." Now normally he didn't really take threats too kindly but he didn't want confrontations with Ouroboros Trap dark as he would suffer more losses than gains. Plus he was self aware that it held a bit more power and influence than the Oni-Dragons.
Soon seven mages come into the room. They all wore dark cloaks covering them from head to toe and had the same satanic symbol as Ravanholm in their hoods.
'Strange were the Cerberus.' Blakesey thought as she analysed the cloaked dark mages. The strange thing was that they all had the exact same magic power, not even a small percentage difference. 'Interesting.'
"Ryuzen, we are here on behalf of the Ebon Legion to commence our contract." They all said at the same time and robotically.
"Your products are all ready but where's your medium of transport for mine?"
The seven mages all got moved away from each other in a circular formation. Then the symbols on their hoods glowed as the whole hideout began to rumble and a large magic circle appeared below them.
"ROOAAR!!" The Cerberus roared in fury as they sent shockwaves throughout the area and the mages struggled to keep its power contained so as not to warrant unwanted attention.
"What a ferocious beast." Ryuzen complimented with a slight smirk as he stared at the three headed demon dog.
'Interesting.' Blakesey thought and stared at the demon dog. Then looked at its chest and sensed the power of a curse at play.
With Salem
"Interesting but not good." Salem stated as he looked at his phone. He was currently hitching a ride on a giant bird on his way to the next anomaly. The Cerberus literally just appeared in Tiyo and in the same place the other anomalies were, which wasn't a good sign.
