Waking up in the morning , Astrick was feeling so energized as he got up of his bed and started wearing the best clothes he has ,
This is an important day for him afterall...
Today he's finally going to awaken his ability and make his family rich and maybe if his ability was good enough he can help those who are in need as he has always been caring and had a lot of empathy for those who need help.
Thinking about all the heroic things he'll be able to do , Astrick's heart started beating fast out of excitement....
Getting him out of his daydreaming was his mom's voice calling him for breakfast.
"Coming!"he said in a loud voice.
After Finishing wearing his clothes he went to the dinning room where his family was waiting for him..
His little sister Clara was also there , she was now three years old , and she only gets cuter every time Astrick sees her.
"You're a bit too excited aren't you??" his mom said although she knows exactly why he's that excited.
"Of course i am , today my journey to become the strongest is finally gonna get started.." Astrick said in heroic tone like he was going to save the world by awakening his ability.
Seeing her brother's excitement ,Clara raised both of her little hands cheering her brother up.
Amanda of course just laughed a little as she thought...

After Finishing his breakfast , Astrick went outside to walk his way to school , but today he took a different turn to an Alley than what he usually takes to school .
Walking in the Alley , he found a couple of boy and girl , they were both so beautiful that it was obvious they're going to have a lots of love letters when they grow up .
Seeing Astrick advancing towards them , they both smiled as they greeted him .
The boy with the blonde hair was called Kevin , while the girl with the dark blue hair was called Amelia .
They were Astrick's best friends and the reason he took a different turn today was cause they wanted to go to school together on this special day.
Now that Astrick was there they started heading directly towards the school.
While they were on their way Kevin had to ask with a look of excitement on his face
"What do guys think you're ability is gonna be?, i wish mine to be a fighting ability "
"I wish mine to be something related to ice " Amelia said so quickly as if she was preparing for that question for months .
" I'll be happy if mine was something that could earn me a lots of money " Astrick said while Kevin and Amelia could basically see his eyes turning into the money symbol .
Although Astrick's family weren't that poor as they could be considered an average family , Astrick always had that weird obsession with money since he was a kid.
"Bro, Is everything you ever think about is money ?" Kevin asked while rolling his eyes .
"I also think about how to make money ,and how to spend it " Astrick said with a straight face making both Amelia and Kevin wonder if he's actually serious .

Few minutes later...
The Three finally reached the outside gates of their school where there were dozens of other students chatting with each other with excited and even some nervous looks on their faces.
Getting inside the school , the three headed towards the awakening room , which was just a big hall with nothing but the equipments for the awakening.
The hall was full of students awaiting for the awakening time , the three just waited in a corner trying to avoid attention ...
But it didn't take long for people to notice them , afterall they're some of the most popular and beautiful kids in school.
-"Look, isn't that the ice queen , Amelia Blossom"
-"Really , where?"
-"OMG , she's so beautiful , do you think i have a chance with her ?"
-"Are you kidding me? have you even looked in the mirror lately? you'd be lucky if the queen Amelia looked at your side , not to mention having a chance with her"
-"He's right , i mean she is surrounded by Kevin and Astrick , do you think your ugly face has a chance against the two of them?"
....
Although hearing that type of conversations about them would enlarge their ego before ,now the only think they accomplish is annoying them.
"Silence!"
Cutting all the sounds in the room was a female voice loud enough for everyone to hear , looking to where the female voice came from, the students were able to see a grown woman wearing a teacher uniform.
After the hall was eventually completely silenced , the female teacher started talking again.
"My name is Flora , I'm going to be the observer to your awakening , I'll call your names one by one , once you hear your name come forward and put your hand on this red crystal while spreading your mana around it, you'll feel it once you're ability is fully awakened , after it is , go to that yellow crystal over there and do the same thing , that crystal will show us your talent..."
"When you awaken your ability it will only tell us the general affinity of your ability and not the ability itself , as that's for you to figure out ..."
" Now let's not waste any time , I'll start calling your names right now...."
The Teacher started calling out names and students started to awaken their abilities , some were happy and started jumping and celebrating , while others were disappointed and sad and looked and those who are celebrating with envy ...
After an unknown amount of time Kevin's name was finally called out , walking towards the red crystal ,his back was covered in sweat as he was so nervous , he put his hand on the crystal and started spreading his mana.....
"Fire related ability " one of the teachers said .
'Thank God ' Kevin said inwardly , he was now more relaxed as he went to the yellow crystal..
After he did the same thing the crystal shined a lot but then lost a bit of its shining.
"Mid to High talent !!" the same teacher as before said in astonishment , while Flora thought to herself

After Kevin there were a few other names before Amelia's name was called.
Unlike Kevin , Amelia didn't show any sign of nervousness as she went to the red crystal.
Eventually ,her ability's affinity was water(which includes ice related abilities) , and her talent was a little better than Kevin but was still between mid and high.
"Congrats you two, you got a great talent ,i hope mine to be good as well" Astrick said once Amelia was back to the group, which she gave a warm occasional smile .
But those who saw it were too surprised and astonished as Amelia is known for her coldness and Indifference towards everyone but her two best friends, Kevin and Astrick .
But many of those who saw her right now have never seen her give anyone a smile before, let alone to a boy nonetheless...
"Astrick Iolanthe " ignoring the students feelings , Flora continued calling out the next name , which happened to be the Astrick.
Hearing his name , Astrick started walking towards the red crystal but accidentally heard someone talking about him....
"I hope he gets the worst type of abilities"
The Person who said that was a boy named Jack, Jack was one of your typical bullies , who is only tough against those who are weaker than him while fears those that are stronger.
He was also one of the people who once confessed to Amelia but got rejected in a cold way, which is why he hates Astrick as he knows that Astrick is closer to Amelia than he ever will be.
Another reason of why he hates Astrick is because he's too nice towards everyone amd tries to stop any violent acts , which made a lot of students love Astrick but also made others like bullies similar to Jack hate him.
Astrick just ignored what Jack said as he continued walking , finally reaching to the red crystal , started spreading his mana around it , after a few seconds the teacher from before eyes were wide opened as he said with a hesitated voice
"S..s..s.. Soul related ability "

Complete silence , no one could believe it as the soul affinity could be considered the third best type of affinity , and the abilities that are related to the soul are usually known to be very useful.
At That moment Astrick had a dumb smile on his face as he was walking towards the yellow crystal , putting his hand on it and started to spread his mana around it the same way he did with the red crystal .
But the teacher's next words made his blood go frozen,
"Low talent !"
Hearing the teacher's word everyone's mind was numb as they didn't understand if they should envy Astrick or feel sorry for him.
Astrick also had a weird expression on his face , trying to pull himself together , Astrick was turning his head slowly as he heard something that broke the last straw holding him together ,
"Pffftt, hahahaha , so what if he had a soul affinity , he's never gonna be able to use to its full potential , all he'll ever be is mortal ranked person , or demonic at best if he was lucky , hahahah"
The Person who said that was Jack, he was trying to get back at Astrick and make him feel worse than he already does .
Understanding what Jack is trying to do, other bullies started laughing as well , and soon enough the entire hall was filled with laughter .
Astrick Then completed his turn and everyone was able to see his expressions right now ,
-" Is he crying?"
-"Hahah , what a p*ssy ,is he even a man"
-" I don't blame him , I'd cry as well if i was this unlucky ,hahaha"

Astrick didn't know that there was a tear coming down his eye till he heard what the students said , and once he realized, unable to hold himself in anymore , he started running out of the hall and even left the entire school in middle of all the laughter and mockery...

Astrick just kept running and running aimlessly , he felt like everyone on the street was mocking him and laughing at him..
Eventually he reached a cliff he used to go to every year alone to have a good view of the city, but right now the view feel as good as it used to be before , it feels like all the colors went away leaving a black and white city .
Astrick's legs were unable to hold him anymore so he just sat down where he was ,crying and thinking of what he has done wrong, why did this happen to him.
He was always nice to everyone and never complained about anything, was that wrong , should he have been cruel towards everyone instead? or should he be mean towards everyone ? and why did they all laugh at him the way they did? what has he ever done to them?
Astrick's mind was in a complete mess , and he was unable to think properly , the world felt so tight and colorless ....
Looking at the edge of the cliff , Astrick was tempted to do something he never thought of doing as he got up and started walking towards it , it was too high that falling from up here was enough for a human to be crushed ten times before reaching the ground.
But unlike the fear that a normal person would have looking down from that height , Astrick had only one thought .
