Good writing has a combination of both summary and scene. What does that mean? I'll explain. Less so in novel writing it is important to balance scene and summary. What are the most important moments? What are the most important thoughts? Though less important in novel writing it is still important. Is a specific scene you wrote important to the story? If so do we actually need to see the event? If we don't then you just need to summarize it. Yes it lowers the work count but we should give quality writing to the reader. The same questions apply to dialogue and thought. You could summarize the jist then give a really powerful one or two liner. It will be made more powerful with the lack of in scene dialogue or thought. You don't need to write about every single important event, it is fine to summarize some of it.
Remember to leave a chapter comment for any writing or grammar related questions. I'll directly respond if it's short and make a chapter if it's more complicated.
