"Sister." Mineah beamed while approaching her sister Xenia.
"Mineah, you made it!" Xenia smiled at her.
"I wouldn't miss it for the world, Sis," Mineah commented with her brightest smile. Her big sister looked stunning in her wedding gown.
A brief second of silence passed between them, their parents seemingly giving them the space they needed before they inevitably hugged one another. Her sister's warm embrace was a feeling Mineah had also sorely missed. Their brief time together at Valcrez did little to sate her wants of being close to her big sister.
"I'm so glad you're here," Xenia tearily said. "A part of me thought that…"
"Don't worry, Sis. Mother and I wouldn't miss such an important part of your life," Mineah lovingly reassured, the unsaid subject lingering in the air as she spoke aloud. "Big Brother Ezekiel isn't able to be with us right now, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be here as well."
