Xenia's face paled, and Mineah knew her big sister just realized how grave and dangerous their brother's situation currently was.
Xenia stared at her and whispered, "Ezekiel… He's the one that's cursed? That's the only explanation for this, Mineah. How could a dragon have stayed and lived inside of him all this time? Can we get him back?"
"That's why Mother and I have to go," Mineah reiterated. "We'll sort things out for our brother."
It was unfortunate that she had to lie like this. She couldn't even tell her dear sister Xenia that she was the one that was truly cursed. Ezekiel's case was very different, one that was too uncertain for them to honestly assume that it was a curse.
"I'll do everything in my power to focus on becoming Queen, Mineah," Xenia declared. "You and our parents don't need to worry about me."
