Nikolai cursed under his breath the moment he opened his eyes. He was practically sweating all over.
Wiping the sweat off his forehead, he scoffed, "Since when did I last perspire like this?"
Standing up, he turned to his open balcony. It was still dark outside… Still no sign of the coming Midnight Sun…
"That Fritz," he grunted as he walked toward his private bath area. "Making false assumptions…"
Not that it was false, he was just too impatient at this point. He trusted the man enough to know that once he told him that the Midnight Sun would arrive today, it would eventually do so. It wasn't midnight yet, so all he needed to do was wait for a few moments.
