Months passed, and I didn't talk to anyone. I began to ignore people around me, cutting my communication with my friends. Sometimes, I wouldn't even leave my room. After that night when my mom and I had a big, terrible conflict, I didn't speak to her since then.
I slowly cut my communication with my parents and my trust towards other people.
However, every single day, they didn't quit fetching me food. They would merely put the plate and a glass of water on my table, but I only drank water. My suspension had already been lifted, but still, I didn't return to school.

"Hey! Did we just decide not to put this on the news!? Yeah! Unknown! But why the hell is my last name on the screen? I paid you a million, and you-" I got up from my bed; I loudly shut the door, locked it, took my remote, and turned up the volume.
'The Robinsons mall is under construction, as you can see from the outside, the 5th floor was damaged; shattered glass, and damaged walls. No one knew what happened, but we questioned citizens earlier, and they only said the same thing.'
'Loud explosions'
'Loud explosions'
'Loud explosions'
Random faces were plastered on the screen, while saying the same thing. I just dug my face between my legs, still listening.
'What 'DID' happen last night? Was there a robbery? Abduction? Kidnapping? Well, I guess this news will remain unsolved.'
I closed my eyes, gritting my teeth, and clenched my fist out of frustration. They always do this! After this, they will close the case because the mall owner obtained a large amount and will remain silent.
Humans will be humans; blinded by the truth, always believing in lies, deceiving their kind, and remaining silent even though they know the truth.
I was ready to turn off the TV, but the next piece of news caught my attention.
'Another reported news; 15 cars were missing, and 10 hardware stores were reported robbed last night. Citizens were confused about how these thieves committed all of this in just one night? For now, the police are still on an investigation to make this case successful.'
"Karma," I whispered. Suddenly, I heard a knock; I was sitting quietly, quickly turned off the TV. The door was compelled to open, and I didn't turn my back.
"Yeah, I know! Just wait, okay? I'll be there." In my peripheral vision, I saw Mom put a tray full of food on the table and didn't glance at me before turning back and running out of my room.
Still, I didn't care. In this case, I don't need anyone's charity. I can do it on my own, not asking for help, and forcing them to believe me.
I looked outside, and it was already sunset. I just did my skincare like other teenagers do, turned off my lights, embraced one of my pillows, and felt the comfort of my mattress. Then, I closed my eyes until my sleepiness devoured me.
"There are tons of screws here!"
"Hey! Tin can. Be quiet, will you? You might wake her up!"
"Why on earth would a leader let me babysit this brainless robot?" Am I dreaming? I kept hearing non-human voices, and their voices are so near.
"This girl is so amazing! It looks like her room is a hardware store!" I slowly opened my eyes, and darkness is all I can see. However, some figures can be recognized.
"ST 20034, put back those undergarments! Stop being a pervert!" My eyes became wider because there is something or someone behind the darkness. My body hurriedly sat on my bed and found my flashlight.
"Hehehe, sorry. ST 20006 I was just curious, I wasn't familiar with those-
"Who are you!?" As soon as I turned on my flashlight, two familiar figures were seen, they were both half-robot.
"Hey!" A half-robot greeted me, waving his right robotic hand, while his left was holding... My... Underwear.
WHACK!*
I threw the flashlight and aimed it at his head, making the bot fall on his knees, writhing in pain. Well, I aimed at his flesh; of course, he would feel pain.
"Man, you're right, she's feisty!" I got out of my bed, took my underwear out of his hands, and also grabbed my phone. I exited my room, and locked the two inside.
"Mom! Dad!" I ran to my parents' room while banging on their door, until it was opened, but both of my parents weren't there.
"Scan the area," I heard one of the half-robots command.
I held onto the rail, jumped off from the second floor, and landed safely in the living room.
I checked the clock, and it was 12:00 AM. I was about to go outside, but I noticed some figures on the floor. I bravely approached, and my eyes widened because they were our maids.
"Those robots killed my maids!?" I checked each one, but there were no signs of bruises or any indication that they had been harmed.
"Putting them to sleep is quite easy, you know," I looked behind me, and they were already here. I stood up and walked backward until I reached the sink.
"Should we also put you to sleep? Or just kill you? You know, women, you've been destroying our plans, appearing here and there, exposing us, and being a 'little' hero." His arms rested on his weapon, while the other one quietly listened. He talked about how I was a party pooper to their plan. However, my hand slowly opened one of the cabinets, and I wished not to get caught.
"And! You hit me with a flashlight on my skin! How do you sleep at night when you hit someone, huh!?" He pulled out his gun and pointed it at me.
"Answer me!" As I felt one of the pipes.
"Like a baby!" I strongly pulled one of the pipes, and the water burst at them. The two robots made a static noise.
I ran out of the house and locked the two inside, still holding the pipe in my hands. I was trembling in fear when I hid behind a car. How on earth did those robots know where I live? Where the hell are my parents?
"I should call Mom." I dialed my mom's number until it rang. I put it to my ear and waited for her to pick up.
But minutes passed, and she didn't answer. I tried 10 times, but she still couldn't pick up her phone. I also tried calling Dad, even though he can't.
"911." Feeling hopeless, I tried to dial the number. It didn't take a minute until it was picked up.
"911, what's your emergency?"
"THEY'RE ATTACKING MY HOUSE!"
"Miss, calm down. Who is attacking your house?"
"They put my maids to sleep! My parents aren't here, and I don't know what to do!"
"Take a deep breath, okay? Your GPS is open, help is on the way, and I want you to stay with me. Is that alright?" I nodded, even though she couldn't see it. My hair was disheveled, my entire body was damp from sweat, and I was trembling.
"O-okay."
"Now can you tell me who is attacking your house?"
"If I said it, would you believe me? Even though it's going to be unreal?"
"Honey, I will always believe you. Trust me."
"It was the rob-"
THUD*
I peeked, and the door fell, revealing the two bots, who were still having trouble with their bodies.
"Miss? What was that noise?"
"Are you recording this?"
"Yes!"
While my eyes were still fixed on the two bots, they were getting out of control of their bodies. At every step, a static noise could be heard. They couldn't walk properly until they reached the road.
"My... Parts... Were soaked in wet!" Water was flowing from his head down to his foot, his parts were creating static noise. However, his friend was about to shut down.
"Open the portal, ST 20034. We need to get dried." The other robot nodded at his command, trembling while tapping something on his right arm.
WEE-WOO!
WEE-WOO!
WEE-WOO!
Suddenly, we heard a loud, high noise coming from the police sirens approaching us.
"Miss? Are you still there? I can hear the sirens. You're going to be fine. Okay?"
"We need to go." After finishing tapping on his right arm, something came out of his hand, and a huge white oblong appeared, until the white became a picture that was full of cities, robots roaming the streets, and no trees could be seen. Just like the portal I saw from school.
The portal sucked them until I couldn't see them with my eyes. Strange, the portal wasn't closing. Out of curiosity, I stood up and slowly walked towards it. It was weird because it wasn't sucking me in. The cities were amazing! My eyes were sparkling the whole time!
"Wow! OMG, is that a robot dog!" I screamed while covering my mouth.
WEE-WOO!
WEE-WOO!
WEE-WOO!
The noise was getting nearer. My mind was racing, and the lady on the line was still talking, wondering if I'm okay.
What if... I stepped closer. What would happen to me?
I looked around the neighborhood, and it was quiet. People around here had no idea what was happening. Looking back, my parents hated me. They all made fun of me for believing in mechanics that aren't real and didn't want me to explain.
I looked back at the portal, but in this world, no one recognized me. Everyone would believe me because they knew... They knew robots are real!
"Miss?"
"I, Ely Taรฑala, am barking at an impending adventure."
