They enjoyed the tea and the snack in silence as they looked at the bright moonlight. The silence had never been awkward between those two because they had been alone many times.
"What you said this morning, it occupied my mind, and couldn't stop thinking about it," Elysande said as she put the cup of tea on the table. "I don't think I can feel fulfilled if I don't have the ability to bear a child. I know that there are people who will love me with all their hearts, but that won't be enough," she pointed out.
Mykel stared Elysande in the eye and his stoic expression made it hard for her to tell what he was thinking.
"You said that you can make it possible..." Elysande said quietly because she was too embarrassed to say it.
"My Lady. I can help you, but I don't want to do it," Mykel answered without hesitation.
Elysande was shocked and in disbelief, as she stared back at Mykel.
