Early Saturday morning, Orion slid into the driver's seat of his mother's car, a day of romance and recreation already mapped out in his mind. He adjusted the rearview mirror, caught his own eyes, and gave himself a wink. "Let's make this a day they won't forget," he muttered, shifting the car into drive and pulling out onto the empty streets.
First stop: Hinata's place. As he pulled up to the front, he saw her already waiting, a vision in her casual yet stunning outfit. The moment she got into the car, Orion leaned over and gave her a warm kiss. "Morning, beautiful."
"Morning," Hinata giggled, clearly pleased. "You're up early."
"Only the best for you and the ladies," he replied, pulling back onto the road.
Next, it was Winry's turn. She hopped into the car holding a little basket. "I brought some snacks! Hope you guys are hungry."
"You're amazing," Orion grinned, sealing his gratitude with a quick peck on her cheek. "I'll make sure to repay you with something equally amazing."
Vivi was third, a radiant smile on her face as she climbed into the backseat. "You look happy," Orion noted, catching her eye in the rearview mirror.
"Well, I'm going to spend the day with my boyfriend. What's not to be happy about?"
Last on the pick-up list were Nami and Nojiko. When they got in, the car was filled with chatter and laughter, each of Orion's girlfriends adding her own special spark to the atmosphere.
Finally, they reached Tatsumaki's house. As he parked the car, Orion let out a contented sigh. "Made it," he mumbled, more to himself than anyone else.
Inside, Tatsumaki was already busy laying out towels and arranging poolside loungers. "You're late," she teased as they all filed into the backyard.
"Sorry, had to pick up these lovelies," Orion gestured grandly to the car full of women. "But now, we're ready to make up for lost time."
Tatsumaki looked at him with an amused smile. "Well, aren't we eager?"
Orion grinned and approached her, pulling her into a loving embrace and a lingering kiss. "Just trying to make sure everyone has a great time."
The girlfriends quickly changed into their swimsuits, and soon enough, they were all lounging by the pool.
As Tatsumaki sauntered by in her vibrant green bikini that matched her eyes, her petite form exuding a confidence that belied her size, Orion seized the opportunity. With a swift but gentle motion, he pulled her into his chest, hugging her tightly as if she were the missing puzzle piece that completed him.
Tatsumaki offered a faux struggle, her hands pushing against his chest but lacking any real force. "Let go, you big oaf," she mock-complained, but her eyes sparkled with delight.
It was then that a ripple of laughter broke their playful banter. Fubuki, Tatsumaki's older sister, sauntered in from the house. She was a stunning contrast to her sister, dressed in a tasteful black bikini that complemented her more voluptuous figure. Her long, flowing green hair added to her allure. Her eyes crinkled with amusement as she wore a teasing smile on her lips.
"Aww, am I interrupting something?" Fubuki quipped, her voice laced with sisterly jest.
"Always," Tatsumaki huffed, breaking free from Orion's embrace but not before giving him a quick peck on the lips. "But in this case, it's okay."
Orion chuckled, releasing Tatsumaki but not before landing a soft kiss on her forehead. "You're never an interruption, Fubuki."
"So, are we all ready for some poolside fun?" Fubuki asked, addressing the group.
A chorus of agreements filled the air, and soon enough, they were all settled around the pool.
Hinata looked adorable in a lavender bikini, its soft color offsetting her dark hair and eyes. Her face radiated a serene kind of beauty, making her look almost ethereal.
Winry, in a blue-and-white polka-dot bikini, exuded a down-to-earth charm. Her golden locks pulled back in a ponytail, she looked like the embodiment of summer fun.
Vivi, in a light blue bikini, looked like a beach princess. Her hair tied back, she appeared effortlessly royal, her beauty lying in her understated elegance.
Nami wore a bold, orange bikini that seemed to capture her adventurous spirit perfectly. The color matching strikingly with her long, orange hair, making her stand out even in this colorful crowd. Nojiko, her sister, donned a more subdued but equally stylish turquoise bikini, which complemented her blue hair and gave her an air of calm sophistication.
As the girls all dipped into the water, their conversations mixing into a lively symphony of laughter and chatter, Fubuki took the opportunity to approach Orion, who had perched himself on one of the poolside loungers.
As the girls all dipped into the water, their giggles and conversations reverberating in the air like music, Fubuki sauntered over to Orion, who was lounging on a poolside chair. She had a cocktail in her hand, and her eyes twinkled with a blend of mischief and allure.
"Ah, the young Don Juan, surrounded by beautiful women," she began, a wry smile forming on her lips. "Tell me, what's the secret to your success? A special cologne, perhaps?"
Orion chuckled, leaning back against the lounger, feeling the sun warming his skin. "Ah, if it were that simple, I'd bottle it and sell it. Then again, I think the real estate market might be more profitable."
Fubuki's laughter was light, like the tinkling of wind chimes. "Well, you're not wrong there. But in my business, it's not just about buying and selling properties; it's about understanding people. And you, Orion, have that skill in spades."
Orion looked up at her, grinning. "Oh, so you've caught on, have you? Maybe you could give me a few pointers on investment properties. I promise I'll repay you handsomely."
Fubuki's eyebrow arched, her smile turning into a smirk. "Repay me, you say? How could a high schooler possibly repay me?"
Feeling the challenge in her tone, Orion propped himself up on his elbows. "Well, I might be young, but I've got resources that aren't monetary. Let's say, dinner at the finest restaurant in town, on me."
Fubuki considered this, swirling the cocktail in her hand. "A tempting offer. You do realize, though, that I could afford that restaurant a hundred times over?"
Orion nodded, but his grin remained. "Ah, but could you afford the company?"
Fubuki let out a genuine laugh, clearly delighted by his audacity. "My, aren't you something? You know, the real estate market can be ruthless, but so can the dating scene. You're doing quite well in one of them, at least."
"Thank you for the compliment," Orion said, genuinely flattered. "But let's be honest; I think the dating scene is child's play compared to dealing with high-stakes investments and cutthroat negotiations."
Fubuki's eyes narrowed playfully, her voice dropping into a conspiratorial whisper. "Child's play? You've clearly never tried to negotiate a prenup."
Orion laughed heartily. "Touche. Point taken."
Fubuki was taken aback by Orion's striking audacity. Here she was, a woman with experience and a portfolio of investment properties, being flirted with by a high schooler—her sister's boyfriend, no less. It wasn't just the audacity that disarmed her; it was also the fluidity of his tongue. Many times, Fubuki found herself feeling like she was losing ground in this playful exchange. Each retort from Orion was sharp and unexpected, threatening to tip the balance of their banter in his favor. As she caught sight of his twinkling green eyes and noted his muscular build, something unbidden and visceral happened—a rush of blood to her face, a quickening of her heart rate.
"So, should I interpret that blush as a sign of your accepting my dinner invitation?" Orion asked, cocking an eyebrow and allowing himself a smirk.
Fubuki composed herself, albeit with difficulty. "You're interpreting too much, young man."
Orion's eyes glinted. "Oh, I doubt that. I think I'm just scratching the surface. But you do have me at a disadvantage, being a savvy businesswoman and all."
Fubuki tilted her head, playing along with the banter. "Oh? And what advantage could a high school student possibly have?"
"How about a lack of cynicism that comes with youth? A fresh perspective, untainted by corporate battles and profit margins," Orion retorted, leaning back in his lounger.
"Hmm," Fubuki mumbled, twirling her cocktail straw thoughtfully. "That's like saying a rookie has the advantage of inexperience."
"In certain situations, they do. They see things that others can't because they're not jaded," Orion stated, holding her gaze. "Tell me, when was the last time you looked at a property and saw not just its market value but its intrinsic beauty?"
Fubuki hesitated, caught off guard by the depth of his observation. "Well, it's been a while," she finally admitted, her voice tinged with nostalgia.
"Then maybe you should let this rookie show you how it's done, at least for one evening," Orion suggested, his tone softer but still filled with the challenge she found so captivating.
Fubuki felt her defenses waver. His audacity was working on her, against all logic and expectation. "You really don't give up, do you?"
"Only when there's something worth fighting for," Orion replied, his eyes locking onto hers.
Across the pool, the laughter and chatter from the group of girlfriends reached a harmonious crescendo, seemingly accentuating the charged moment between Fubuki and Orion. Fubuki let out a sigh, finally relenting. "Alright, one dinner. But you're paying, young man."
Orion grinned triumphantly. "It would be my honor."
