After a delightful morning at the retro cinema and the art gallery with Luna, Orion felt as if the day couldn't get any better. But then he glanced at Aurora, who was in the passenger seat as they drove towards the hiking trail. Her eyes reflected the excitement he felt, and he knew the best was yet to come.
Pulling into the parking lot near the trailhead, Orion grabbed a backpack filled with essentials—water bottles, some snacks, a first-aid kit, and a couple of towels. Aurora adjusted her hiking boots, tying them tightly as if sealing her anticipation.
"You ready?" he asked, meeting her gaze.
Aurora grinned. "Oh, I was born ready for this. Let's go!"
The trail was a symphony of nature, a mix of rugged rocks, meandering streams, and tall trees that seemed to touch the sky. They walked in comfortable silence, their feet crunching on the path in harmony with the rustle of the leaves and the distant bird calls.
After about half an hour, they reached the much-anticipated waterfall. Orion could tell Aurora was moved by the sight; her eyes widened, and she took in a deep breath as if trying to absorb the beauty before her.
"Wow," she said softly, her voice tinged with awe. "This is even better than I imagined."
Orion grinned. "I thought you'd like it."
They sat on a large rock near the waterfall, pulling out water bottles and sharing a granola bar. The mist from the waterfall felt cool against their skin, a refreshing contrast to the sun overhead.
As they ate, Orion found himself captivated by the way the sunlight danced on Aurora's face, highlighting her features as if she were a character in a painting. Realizing he was staring, he looked away briefly, but the urge to look back was irresistible.
"What are you thinking?" Aurora asked, catching his lingering gaze.
"Thinking how lucky I am," Orion replied, his voice tinged with sincerity. "This moment feels almost sacred, you know? Just you, me, and the beauty of the world."
Aurora leaned in closer. "It's perfect, isn't it?"
Orion nodded, then took a deep breath, as if gathering courage for something. "You know, you once told me that some moments are too precious to capture in a photo, that they're meant to be etched in memory. Well, I'd like to make this moment one of them."
Before she could reply, he leaned in and kissed her, a gentle meeting of lips that felt as natural as the waterfall cascading behind them. Aurora returned the kiss, her lips meeting his with a sweetness that was both exhilarating and comforting.
When they pulled away, both of them smiled, their faces flushed but eyes sparkling.
Aurora looked up at him, her eyes soft yet intense. "Orion, you've always been special to me, but today—today you've created a memory that I'll cherish forever."
He chuckled softly, his voice tinged with emotion. "And just so you know, that was only a glimpse of our future. Imagine the life we could share, the adventures waiting for us. We're just getting started."
Aurora leaned her head on his shoulder, gazing at the waterfall as it danced and shimmered in the sunlight. "With you, I can imagine it all, and it looks beautiful."
Orion tightened his arm around her, pulling her close. As they sat there, absorbed in the magic of the moment, he felt a sense of completeness, as if the universe had aligned just for them. It was a day of promise, a day that foreshadowed a future filled with love and adventure.
And as they finally stood up, ready to head back, Aurora mumbled more to herself than to him, "You're right, we're just getting started."
Hearing her, Orion grinned widely, a sentiment echoing in his own thoughts. If this was just the beginning, he couldn't wait to see what the rest of their life would bring.
The two made their way back, not just walking but practically floating, their hearts full and their spirits high. The future was wide open, and Orion couldn't imagine facing it with anyone else.
Returning to the car, he turned to Aurora. "So, did it live up to the hype?"
"Exceeded it," she replied, beaming. "Just like you always do."
Orion chuckled. "Well, when you set the bar high, I've got no choice but to jump even higher."

After enjoying the matinee at the retro cinema as a family and spending quality time individually with Luna at the art gallery and with Aurora on a hike, it was time for Orion's day to focus on his two wonderful moms, Elara and Selene.
Walking into the serene spa, the scent of lavender and eucalyptus filled the air, instantly calming their senses. Soft, melodic tunes played in the background, setting the tone for relaxation.
Selene sighed as they were led to a private room, complete with mud baths and massage tables. "This is heaven on Earth."
Elara nodded, her eyes already half-closed in bliss. "You really outdid yourself, Orion."
Orion beamed at them. "Well, if I'm doubling down on kindness, you two deserve twice as much. Moms, it's time to relax like never before."
The trio changed into spa robes, tying them loosely around their waists. It was not unusual for them to be bare-chested in these settings, a sense of ease and comfort pervading their family bonds. They sat down by the mud baths, dipping their feet in to test the temperature.
"So," Orion began, "who's up for the first mud bath?"
Elara chuckled, "Why don't you go first? You've orchestrated this entire day."
Orion shook his head. "Nah, I'll go last. You two have earned this more than anyone."
Selene exchanged a look with Elara before finally easing herself into the mud bath. "Oh, this is divine."
Elara followed suit, and both let out simultaneous sighs of relief as they sunk into the warm, therapeutic mud. Orion sat by the edge, his feet dipped in, grinning from ear to ear as he watched them.
After a few minutes, Selene broke the silence. "You know, you could join us."
Orion looked at them, eyes twinkling with a double dose of mischief. "Who said anything about not joining?"
With that, he eased into the mud bath, sandwiched between his moms. For a few moments, they simply enjoyed the quietude, letting the mud work its magic on their muscles and skin.
"Feeling relaxed yet?" Orion finally asked, looking at Selene and Elara.
Elara hummed, her eyes still closed. "More than I've been in years, I think."
Selene nodded, smiling at Orion. "Same here. It's amazing what a little self-care can do."
"And to think," Orion murmured, "this is only the beginning. Next, we have massages."
Elara finally opened her eyes, meeting Orion's gaze. "I don't know how we got so lucky to have you, but I'm eternally grateful."
Feeling a wave of affection surge through him, Orion leaned over to give Elara a gentle kiss on her lips. "The feeling's mutual, Mom. I owe everything I am to both of you."
Selene caught his eye then, her eyes soft but full of emotion. "Well, in that case..." She leaned over and pressed her lips to his, sealing a moment of pure love and gratitude.
"For good luck," she whispered, echoing the phrase from earlier that day.
Orion chuckled, a sense of warmth spreading through him. "For good relaxation, you mean."
They laughed softly, their chuckles mingling with the tranquil sounds of the spa. For a moment, they felt like the only people in the world.
As they eventually moved on to their massages, lying side by side on adjacent tables, Orion couldn't help but feel a profound sense of happiness. He was here, in this room, sharing moments of pure joy with the women who had raised him, loved him, and made him who he was. And for that, he was eternally grateful.
"As much as I love a good movie and art gallery," Orion began, grinning at Selene and Elara, "there's something to be said for the restorative power of a spa day."
"You're speaking my language," Elara replied, smiling warmly at him.
Selene chuckled. "It's about time we took a day for ourselves, don't you think?"
The trio was led to a private room, where soft, calming music played in the background. Plush massage tables awaited them, adorned with crisp, clean sheets and fluffy towels.
"Alright, ladies," Orion saidt, "who wants the first massage?"
Selene looked at Elara, then back at Orion. "Why don't you start with Elara? She's been on her feet more than I have."
Elara protested half-heartedly, "Oh, you don't have to—"
Before she could finish, Orion interjected, "No arguments. You're first, Elara."
As Elara lay face-down on the massage table, Orion washed his hands in warm, scented water and then rubbed some aromatic oil between his palms. He placed his hands gently on her back, feeling the tension beneath her skin.
"Ready?" he asked softly.
Elara sighed contentedly. "More than ready."
Orion began to work his way from her shoulders down to her lower back, applying just the right amount of pressure. With each knead and stroke, he could feel her muscles relaxing, the tension melting away like snow under the sun.
Selene watched, her eyes meeting Orion's every so often. There was a palpable chemistry in those exchanged glances, and it wasn't lost on either of them.
After a while, Orion switched places and turned his attention to Selene. Her eyes closed in anticipation as he started massaging her back, working out the knots and easing the stress from her muscles. His fingers moved in slow, rhythmic circles, and Selene found herself sinking into a blissful state of relaxation.
Orion could feel the electricity coursing through his own veins, a testament to the emotional connection he felt with these two remarkable women in his life. The sensation was amplified when he leaned down and gently kissed Selene's shoulder—a simple yet intimate gesture.
Selene felt a tingling sensation race down her spine, and she knew it wasn't just from the massage. She looked at Elara, who was now sitting up and watching them, her eyes sparkling with an emotion that was hard to put into words.
After completing Selene's massage, Orion switched positions, laying down on the massage table himself.
"Your turn," he said, grinning up at them.
Elara and Selene both took one side of the table. Their hands were warm, their touches expert, mirroring each other's movements as if they had practiced this a hundred times. Orion felt a wave of warmth spread from his back to the rest of his body, as though love itself was being kneaded into his very skin.
At some point, both women leaned down to plant a kiss on each of his cheeks, close to his lips, simultaneously, an act so synchronized it could only be the result of their deep, unspoken connection.
"I think I could get used to this," Orion mumbled, half in jest, half in earnest.
"You better," Elara replied with a wink, "because we're just getting started."
The massage ended, but the sense of closeness lingered, creating an aura that was both intimate and comfortable. Orion looked at Selene and Elara, his mothers, and felt a surge of gratitude for their love and support. They may not have been his biological mothers, but they were his family in every sense of the word.
"So, what did you think of your first mother-and-son spa day?" he asked, throwing an arm around each of them as they walked toward the exit.
"It was absolutely perfect," Selene responded, smiling warmly.
"I couldn't have asked for a better day," Elara agreed.
Orion grinned, his heart swelling with love and pride. "Well then, mission accomplished. But you know, this could be the start of a new tradition."
