The doorbell rang again, interrupting the siblings' late-night conversation. Selene called from downstairs, "Orion, you have a visitor!"
Curious, Orion descended the staircase to find Tatsumaki waiting at the door, an unfamiliar look of nervousness on her face. She was gazing at the ground, her eyes darting left and right, seemingly rehearsing what she was going to say in her head. Orion, not wanting her to take control of the situation, decided to throw her off balance by sneaking up close to her face and suddenly calling out, "Hey, Tatsumaki!"
Startled and flustered, Tatsumaki tried to regain her confidence but found her speech jumbled as a result of her surprise. "Orion, you are Romeo, and I am Juliet!" she blurted out, immediately regretting her words. Shocked by her own outburst, she struggled to collect her thoughts, but Orion's cheeky grin only made it more difficult. "I mean, I am Juliet, and you are Romeo. No, what I mean is, there is this other theater where I volunteer, and I am Juliet, and I need Romeo. No, I mean, help you, to help me...."
Amused, Orion decided to push her further and asked, "Do you need to rehearse for your role and need a Romeo?" Tatsumaki, too confused to even think, assumed Orion had asked for her help and nodded before it was too late. She had inadvertently asked him to help her with an "imaginary" role.
Orion agreed to help, informed his mothers, and left with Tatsumaki. As they walked, Tatsumaki remained silent, looking down in embarrassment, while Orion gazed at the sky, amused by the situation. They eventually reached a nearby park, where they began to rehearse.
To his surprise, Orion found that Tatsumaki had genuinely studied the role of Juliet, even though it was an imaginary part. Deciding to tease her to the fullest, he made the scenes extra romantic, holding her hand as often as he could. When they reached the kissing scene, he held Tatsumaki's hand firmly, his emerald eyes locked onto her forest green ones as he approached her inviting lips. Giving her enough time to back out, he saw that she was waiting eagerly and finally kissed her.
Tatsumaki's heart raced as Orion's lips met hers. She couldn't believe that she had gotten herself into this situation, yet she found herself completely captivated by the intensity of the moment. As they broke apart, she was left breathless, her cheeks flushed a deep shade of red.
"Wow, Tatsumaki," Orion murmured, his eyes dancing with mischief. "You're really committed to this imaginary role, aren't you?"
Tatsumaki, struggling to regain her composure, stammered, "I... I just wanted to make sure I was prepared for any... any situation. Hancock Sensei might still select me after Hinata flukes in practice."
Orion chuckled, enjoying the rare sight of the normally confident Tatsumaki at a loss for words. "Well, you certainly seem prepared now."
As they continued to rehearse, Tatsumaki found herself growing more and more flustered. Her thoughts were a whirlwind of emotions, her heart pounding with every touch and whispered line.
'Why is he doing this to me?' she thought, trying to focus on the words of the script. 'He's just teasing me, isn't he? But why does it feel so real?'
Orion, too, was surprised by the depth of emotion he felt as they practiced. He had only intended to tease Tatsumaki, yet he found himself drawn to her in a way he couldn't quite explain. He had inherited Selene's empathy ability, and could feel Tatsumaki was hurt due to assuming he was playing with her. That wasn't his intention at all.
Orion paused, a sudden realization washing over him. He had only intended to tease Tatsumaki, but now it seemed that his actions had caused her pain. He could feel her hurt and confusion, and it tugged at his heartstrings.
'I may be a bastard, but I've always considered myself one with a big heart,' he thought, his resolve strengthening. 'A heart big enough to love many people.'
Determined to show Tatsumaki that he hadn't been playing with her, he reached out and gently took her hand in his. Her eyes widened, her breath catching in her throat as she looked at him questioningly.
"Tatsumaki," Orion whispered, his voice soft and sincere. "I'm sorry if I made you feel like I was just toying with you. That was never my intention. I want you to know that the emotions I've shared with you here... they're real."
Tatsumaki's heart fluttered at his words, a mix of hope and apprehension filling her chest. "Do you really mean that, Orion?" she asked, her voice barely audible.
"I do," he replied, his eyes locked onto hers, filled with sincerity.
With that, Orion leaned in once more, capturing Tatsumaki's lips in a tender, emotional kiss. This time, he poured every ounce of his feelings into the gesture, willing her to understand the depth of his affection.
As their lips met, Tatsumaki felt a warmth spread through her chest, the intensity of the moment overwhelming her. She couldn't help but respond, her own emotions surging forth as she kissed him back, her heart soaring with newfound hope and love.
Their kiss was a promise, a vow to explore the depths of their feelings without fear or reservation. And as they broke apart, both Orion and Tatsumaki found themselves breathless, their eyes shining with the intensity of their emotions.
"I believe you," Tatsumaki whispered, her cheeks flushed with happiness. "I believe in us."
As they sat on a park bench, their hands intertwined, Orion knew he had to be honest with Tatsumaki. He owed her the truth about his feelings for other women, and he couldn't let their newfound love be built on deception.
"Tatsumaki," he began, his voice hesitant yet determined. "There's something I need to tell you. I'm... well, I'm a bastard who loves multiple women. As a gentleman, I feel it's only right to come clean before we start anything serious."
For a moment, Tatsumaki's eyes flashed with bloodlust, her mind racing with thoughts of eliminating the competition. But before she could say anything, she fixed an innocent smile on her face and asked sweetly, "Who?"
Orion, sensing her murderous intent, quickly held her hand and sealed her lips with a searing kiss, one hand moving to give her a light slap on the ass. "Bad girl!" he whispered into her ear, his breath hot on her skin. "No stabbing others, okay?"
Tatsumaki, overwhelmed by the kiss and his sudden dominance, nodded shyly, her eyes wide and vulnerable. She felt a strange mix of frustration and acceptance, knowing that she had no choice but to share this bastard boy with others if she wanted to be with him.
As they sat in the park, the sun setting behind them, Orion found himself lost in thought. 'I never expected things to turn out this way,' he mused, his mind filled with images of Hinata and Tatsumaki, as well as the fleeting memories of the other women he had loved. 'Is it possible to love them all? Can I truly care for multiple people?'
Tatsumaki, her head resting on his shoulder, could feel the turmoil in his heart. She didn't want to share him, but she also couldn't bear the thought of losing him. 'I'll do whatever it takes,' she vowed silently, her determination growing. 'I'll become the woman he needs me to be, no matter what it takes.'
As the last rays of sunlight disappeared from the horizon, Orion wrapped his arm around Tatsumaki, pulling her closer to him. He knew that the journey ahead would be challenging, filled with love, passion, and heartache, but he couldn't deny the fierce connection he felt with her.
"I'll do my best to make you happy, Tatsumaki," he whispered, his voice filled with sincerity. "I promise."
Tatsumaki looked up at him, her eyes shining with determination and love. "I'll hold you to that promise, Orion," she murmured, her heart swelling with a mix of fear and excitement. "I'm not going to let you go."
