I looked around the room to find many chairs, most of which were occupied by the summoned ones who were already present and waiting for those who haven't arrived so that the meeting can begin.
I seated myself at the back most seat away from the others so that I don't have to communicate with them. There were two seats near me and both of them were by my left. While I was waiting a person with pink hair came and sat besides me.
I glanced at the person only to find out that it was the seventh princess of the Zeclyd kingdom, Anastasia Von Zeclyd.
"Good morning to you" she tried to start a conversation between us.
"Good morning" I replied blankly so as to not be rude and show that currently I'm not in the mood to have a conversation.
"Hello" I heard a voice calling out to me from behind the princess. I looked over to find out that it was my childhood friend Sato who called out to me.
"Hi, rest well???" I responded and inquired about her well being.
"Yea I rested well, they don't have beds as good as what we had in our but they were doable, no offense princess." she responded without holding back.
"None taken" the princess responded.
While we were talking the rest of the summoned ones arrived and took their seats and the king also arrived.
"Welcome summoned ones today we're going to tell you about your situations and the situation of the kingdom you're currently in."
After that the king started explaining us the details of what we're summoned here for, how many races exist in this world, what we are expected to do and what other alternatives we have.
So basically we were summoned as the ally of humankind. There are humans, elves, angels, devils, demons, dragons, beastmen, dwarves, vampires, and some more.
Devils and demons may be similar but they are not as devils are more powerful than demons and the direct enemy of the angels. It could also be said that when demons evolve they turn into devils.
Elves and beastmen live in forest. Devils a demons live in the dark lands as the place is full of miasma. Humans are weak to this miasma as it acts like poison to them. Humans and vampires live on the plains making their own kingdoms. Dragons live on mountain peaks and dwarves live in underground cities near the mountains as they can get ores in the mountain easily. Angels live in the floating city they call Holy city. The floating city floats around the whole planet sometimes passes by the Zeclyd kingdom as well.
There motive in summoning us was to let us be a part of their forces against the demons. They wanted our extraordinary power in helping them win the war.
While hearing them I had a question which popped up in my mind so I raised my hand to ask them.
"Is there something you don't understand???" the king stopped his explanation once he saw me raise my hands
"If we are both humans what is it that differentiates us??? we were summoned but essentially we are the same race how is it that we are much more powerful than the native humans of this world???" I asked.
I find it fascinating that they have to rely on us, we teenage kids are being depended on for such an important task such as saving humankind from the demons. There must be a reason why we are different from native humans of this world.
"Many scholars have tried to find the reason for the gap in the strength between summoned and the native in the past but have failed. We did find something interesting though." The king paused for the dramatic effect.
"It is that every time the summoning has happened the summoned ones were of the age group of below twenties and above seventeen. Our assumption is that the magic circle only picks out people from that age group and if someone not of that age group got involved they would not be included in the transfer." The king said.
It was at that time that I remembered that our homeroom teacher left the class with a blank expression just before the magic circle event.
The king doesn't understand the reason why we are better than the natives strength wise, he could be either lying or telling the truth. Either way I won't be getting any information from him.
After that the king explained us some trivial information about the world and ended the meeting.
I don't have much to do now other than the meeting with Anastasia which I will be having later in secret.
