Even though Kaden did not like this flame spirit very much, he took every word that came out of the woman seriously. He wanted to get control of this strand of primordial energy at all costs which did not exclude begging and groveling.
Kaden cleared his throat and turned his attention back to the old man, who was already gleefully counting his newfound fortune, probably doing the mental arithmetic of just how many drinks these many gold coins could fetch him.
"Master…" Kaden shamelessly stared at the old man with puppy dog eyes.
