Chereads / All Hail The King!! / Chapter 4 - 3: Broken

Chapter 4 - 3: Broken

"Hooh, your friend is already broken, by the looks of it."

Any life that Bianca has in her eyes was now long gone, replaced by sheer anguish as the girl finally gave up on any hopes for her being saved. She no longer struggled to break free from her assaulters, and she was as still as a doll for anyone to toy and tinker around to their very liking.

The prospect of death was a whole lot sweeter now than ever before, just for her suffering to finally came to an end.

"No… Bianca." Tears were now evident as Zack saw the futile state of his friend.

"This is boring," The bandit raping her said with a frustrated look, "She's resisting no longer!!"

"Heh, it was fun when she was all struggling in vain, but like they say, good things must come to an end." Skjorn cackled like a madman.

"Indeed. The pathetic girl is all used up." Hilda agreed and raised her hand, signaling the bandits to stop molesting the girl. Her smile then became even more sinister as she looked at Zack and ordered the bandits to-

"Kill her."

"No!!!!!!!"

Zack watched in pure grief as a Bandit lift Bianca up and slit her throat, causing the girl's life to forfeit in an instant and her body was thrown nastily to the ground.

With as much strength as he could muster, Zack swatted Hilda's hand away as he released himself and dashed straight at Bianca's body.

The Witch smirked and allowed the boy to do so.

"Bianca, no, stay with me!! Please don't leave me!!!" The boy applied pressure to the girl's neck in an attempt to stop the bleeding, but it was a futile effort.

His best friend, the cheerful bundle of joy and energy who brightened his every single day, the girl who was always by his side as they were raised in this village together, played together, relying with one another through thick and thin.

She was the first who accepted him, back when he was all alone and was constantly teased for having no parents. The girl would always defended him from his bullies back when they were way younger.

"You meanies!!!! Stop bullying my new friend!!!!"

Bianca's voice echoed on his mind as he reminisce the days… the happier and simpler times.

The times when he visited her house and was introduced to the girl's parents, with them teasing the poor girl that he was his boyfriend, much to her embarrassment.

How they would skip some of the classes from school together and run off to the riverside for only the two of them to spend time happily together.

Such happy memories, and Zack desired to create more with her as they grew up and fulfill their dreams together.

But such a thing was no longer possible.

If it wasn't for Bianca, then Zack won't grow out from his depressed shell. The girl was his beaming ray of sunshine, his first ever friend…

And the girl he loved.

"What about our dream, Bianca?!!!" Zack desperately cried out but her lifeless body never responded, "You are going to be a Witch and I'm to be your Knight, right!!!? Was it all just a lie?!!! I… I don't know what I'm going to do without you…"

The boy heard footsteps from behind, and Hilda came to gloat at him, "This is the world that we live in, child. The weak perish while the strong thrive. At the end of the day, strength is all that matter. Your wretched excuse of a village is weak and it has simply fallen victim to-"

"Shut up."

"You insolent brat, what did you say!!!?"

"I said… SHUT UP!!!!!!!"

As Hilda was about to hit Zack for not even allowing her to finish her statement, she was suddenly blown off by a strong force that sent her flying back a few feet away.

"What the?" One of the Witches was dumbfounded by what just transpired.

The rest of the bandits shared the same sentiment as they could only stare in confusion but it was instantly replaced by a feeling of dread when they saw the boy being engulfed by a malevolent aura of the color violet.

Zack, his face devoid of any emotion, laid Bianca's body gently as he stood up and eyed the group with deadly calm.

"L-look… his eyes."

One bandit nervously pointed as they now witnessed the boy's eyes glowing with the same color as his aura.

"Don't just stand there, you fools!!!" Hilda snapped at them as she got up, "He's just one child!!! Just kill him and be done with it!!!"

No longer wanting to toy around, Hilda ordered frantically and Skjorn sent out four Bandits to perform the deed.

As the Bandits drew closer, Zack reacted with blinding speed and made a slashing motion of his hand. The same malevolent energy was conjured as it was used to sliced them, causing half of their bodies to fly off with blood now raining all over the field.

And Zack's emotionless expression topped it over, not even feeling a hint of regret for what he had accomplished.

"M-monster!!!!" Scared shitless, Skjorn tried to backed out and run, but Zack was having none of that.

The boy raised his hand and the running Skjorn stopped on his track. The man then clutched his heart as he felt extreme pain when the violet energy consumed him. All of a sudden, he exploded and body parts scattered all around the area.

"Demon child!!! Stay away!!!!

Terror consumed the Bandits as they decided that their insignificant lives were far more important and flee upon seeing how a child… a boy of all people, somehow was able to use some kind of magic and dispatched their cohorts like they were meat to be butchered.

"You witless fools, come back here!!!!" Hilda shouted at them for their cowardly insubordination. But her anger was short-lived when she saw the running bandits suffering the same fate as Skjorn when they too burst into a pile of bloody remains.

"No one is going to leave here alive!!!" Zack proclaimed with venomous anger dripping on his voice and now shifted his attention to the Witches.

The two witches beside Hilda were wildly unnerved by the boy's deathly gaze and frustration kicked Hilda in as she barked at her fellow Witches, "Sisters!!! We still have magic at our disposal!!! Cast your spells, dammit!!!"

That snapped them out of their nervous daze and instantly invoked their own magic to fire at the boy.

"Too slow."
