"Nick..." Someone called me as I was walking out of the library. I turned around and noticed it was Tasha.
"Hey babe… I thought we talked about this."
"I'm sorry babe but it's something important."
"It's okay. Tell me then my ears are all yours."
"I'm…I…" Tasha was about to say something when someone interrupted.
"Nickolas, can I talk to you for a second." It was Lily. I cursed under my breath. Just the sight of her close to me made me angry. I didn't know what else she wanted from me.
"No, as you can see I'm busy."
"Nick, you're not…"
"I'm fucking busy, now if you'll excuse us…" My blood was already boiling. I grabbed Tasha's hand and I was about to leave when…
"It's okay, I guess I'll leave you guys to talk. I'll talk to you later Nick." Tasha said and left me there with Lily.
"Okay what do you want?"
"I…I'm… I just wanted to say I'm sorry."
"Sorry for what exactly."
"I'm sorry for everything. For the drama, for hitting Tasha, for ghosting you, I'm really sorry Nick."
"Yeah, I'm sorry too. For everything that happened. Now that we are both cool, I have to go. I have some important things to take care." I said coldly and turned away ready to leave.
"Wait…this is yours"
"What…what is that?"
"I broke your phone, so I got you a new one."
"I already bought a new phone thank you. You can give that to your new boyfriend." I said curtly, and turned my back to her and started leaving.
"What? I don't fucking have another boyfriend if that's what you think."
"I don't fucking care Lily." I wasn't ready for that conversation. In fact, I didn't know why she was trying to apologize when she had been ghosting me since the incident. It didn't matter anymore to me, and if she thought that bribing me would buy her way into my heart again then she was completely out of her mind. It was never going to happen.
