Raya is brushing her teeth in the bathroom. I can hear her singing, which I've come to discover is something she does as a way of timing how long she's been brushing. It's adorable and endearing—one of those cute little quirks that I love.
I can't decide how to feel about Luciano hooking up with Rory so quickly. Maybe he cares about her and respects her more than he has any other woman, but can this be a good thing so soon? When she was struggling so severely? Is that responsible?
I'm also sick with the possibility that I've brought the danger of my mother's family to what's supposed to be a happy escape for Raya and I. A getaway. An elopement. I was the one who invited Luciano, and maybe I shouldn't have. Maybe that was a mistake.
