"En...ugh!" she rasped out.
Michael and Lucas stopped their bickering and looked at her in surprise.
"Eleanor-" started Michael, but Eleanor raised her hand to stop him from speaking. She watched Michael and Lucas glance at each other. Eleanor walked over to a side table and grabbed the quill and paper that had been left there. She started writing angrily:
Stop bickering. If you two aren't communicating properly with each other, then I have no one. I've already been completely isolated here, please don't make it worse.
When Eleanor finished writing, she stomped over to the two of them and shoved the paper towards them. She watched their faces as they read what she wrote. Shame appeared on their faces.
"Ellie..." started Lucas.
As Michael stated, "We should have realized..."
Eleanor dropped the note on the floor before turning away from the two of them.
