The plane that I had hoped was taking me to see my parents, took me home instead. Though my heart dropped at not being able to see my parents, I could not help but be excited to return to the only place I ever knew. We flew over the town center and passed my old high school. Landing at the private airport.
I was still in shock when the wheels hit the ground.
As soon as our feet touched the tarmac, Anna said, "Where to first?"
I was so happy; I didn’t know where I wanted to go first. But I knew where I needed to go. I gave the address to the driver of the SUV, Alex rented. And in less than twenty minutes, I was truly home.
All three of us were standing in front of what used to be my home. A two-bedroom flat on the outskirts of the town. Surrounded by plenty of woods. My parents specifically chose this place because it was so well hidden from the world. And with so many trees and wooded areas, they could feel free to run in their wolf form.
