Blake and Regina reach the elevator. The next thing they see puts them in great distress. Blake pushes the elevator door button, which opens. It is revealed that the elevator shaft is under fire, burning. And what's even worse is the fact that there are many dead ZPD officers on the bottom of the shaft, all piled up in the destroyed elevator. Blake looks inside the shaft for a brief amount of time before he leans back in.
Blake: It looks like we're taking the longer path.
Regina: No.....they destroyed the elevator. It's a long way up there Blake. We're gonna lose so much time. You go ahead. I'll....wait here.
Blake: Are you crazy? I am not leaving you here!
Regina: I can barely walk, I would only slow you down.
Blake: I don't care if you slow me down, you're coming with me. Wait a minute.....look!
Blake points Regina's sight to another elevator door.
Regina: I can't believe we overlooked it...
Blake: We better pray it's still working....
Blake checks the second elevator. He opens the door and this one seems to be undamaged.
Blake: Finally, a bit of luck.
Regina: After you.....
Blake: Ladies first.....
Regina: Badass foxes first!
Blake: I said ladies first and I insist!
Regina then pushes Blake into the elevator....
Regina: Oh Blake, I didn't know you were a lady.
Blake: Really funny, silly girl.
Regina walks in as well. Blake presses the R button on the panel and the elevator starts taking them to the rooftop.
Blake: This is gonna take a while....
Regina: Not really, 153 floors is nothing....
Blake: I'd rather take a chopper and fly up to the roof with my ass....but given the current circumstances, I would only end up back on the ground right?
Regina: With me sitting right next to you?
Blake: There's no way I would allow you to go airborne with me. You know how insane I am already....
Regina chuckles and leans against the wall....
Regina: I learned that you love taking risks that put others in danger including you.
Blake: It's sometimes worth the effort if you want to reach your destination. How's that wound?
Regina: It still hurts. My head is throbbing in pain.
Blake: See? This is why I didn't want you to come with me.
Regina: I know....and....thanks by the way. Thanks for saving my life back there....
Blake: That better pay off now that I saved you because I haven't been so worried in my life for a decade. When I saw all that rubble fall on you, I felt my heart stop back there. I thought I lost another person who brought happiness and light into my life. I owe you a debt of gratitude for....coming with me even though I highly disagreed with your decision to come with me back there.
- 50th floor –
Regina: Heh, that just showed you how foolish I am and...a bit insane too, just like you.
Blake: Well, we got some things in common.
Regina: We really do. Where are you planning to go after this is over? Is your departure imminent?
Blake: I don't really know. I can't stay in the city. Everyone hates me and I don't think they would allow me to live free in it. Not after what I've done.
Regina: Not everyone hates you. Don't go please. You can stay at my house while we look for a new hideout where you can remain hidden from the public. We're gonna come up with something.
Blake: I can't stay hidden forever. If I stay, then I will have to go to the court. They're gonna institute legal proceedings against me and I will either end up in imprisonment for my whole life or get banished. But that's not gonna happen because I am gonna banish myself to an unknown place without the court deciding my fate.
- 100th floor -
Regina: Perhaps our actions that will shortly follow will change everyone's perspective on you.
Blake: I doubt that. I really do. I was and I will always stay a dishonorable fox.
Regina: You're not as immoral like they think you are. I got to spend so much time with you today which allowed me to get to know you more and you are not a monster. In fact, you have a golden heart and you'd do your absolutely best to save someone you really care about.
Blake: Those words mean so much to me. Thank you. You can...come with me if you really want....
Regina: I .....don't know. My dad wouldn't allow it neither my sister...nor mom.
Blake: I understand. You got a home and a family to cherish whereas I don't have any of those. Now you see why I want to leave. These are honestly the major reasons why I don't want to stay here.
Regina: You won't have a new family out there in the wilderness. This is your home, a home where you can start a new life.
Blake: That will be impossible. I am no longer welcome in this kingdom. You'll see what I really mean soon.
- Rooftop –
The elevator stops on the rooftop floor. Blake and Regina hear the droning sounds of the Doominator just above them. The elevator door opens and the duo is struck by pure revulsion after they see corpses of slaughtered ZPD officers right in front of them.
Regina: Oh...my....dear....god....
Blake: This...this must be the remnants of the second team Bogo sent here to stop The Doominator.
Regina: All these innocent animals.....right there.....or in the whole city, they are dying pointlessly.....we have to stop this!
Blake: Grab their weapons and let's move! We're so close now!
Blake and Regina pick up some weapons left by the ZPD officers on the floor....
Blake: Hey....stay behind me okay?
Regina: Okay....and Blake....be careful...
Blake and Regina walk through the corpses and head up some stairs where they reach the door leading directly outside to the rooftop. Blake stops right before the door and looks back at Regina who is having trouble walking.
Blake: This is far too dangerous for you. I can't let you go outside with me. I need you to stay here.
Regina: What?! I didn't come this far to become a concealed companion behind your back. I want to be part of whatever is gonna happen outside there...
Blake: That's what the initial plan was. Now that you got hurt like that I won't let you go out there with me. Do NOT intervene. Stay put. I'll do this myself. You helped me enough already. I cannot let you out there with me, you understand? Look at yourself! You are weakened and injured. Just listen to what I say and stay here.
Regina: But....
Blake moves his paw gently across Regina's cheek as tears drop down her face.....
Blake: It's for your own safety. It will be worth it. Trust me.
Regina: Do what you must....
Blake: It's gonna be okay!
Blake then kicks open the door and steps out to the rooftop. He sees Zack and Commander Ravendoom stand near the edge of the roof, overseeing the genocide. But what surprises Blake the most is a familiar face beaten up and put down on his knees, it's Jacob.
Blake: Jacob? What are you doing here?!
Jacob: BLAKE! I knew you'd come to save my hapless butt!!!
Commander Ravendoom: SILENCE!
Zack: Blake.....we've been expecting you.
Jacob: Don't listen to them! They're using me as a bait! I am their newborn puppy! Help me please!
Commander Ravendoom kicks Jacob from behind.....
Commander Ravendoom: Keep your lips sealed you worthless scum!
Blake: You kick him one more, and you're joining the dead!
Commander Ravendoom: That's not even remotely bound to happen, Thunder. So, you intrepid fool just doesn't know when to quit eh?
Zack: Blake....come here.
Blake: Do you really think I am gonna listen to you?
Zack: Yes, you are.
Commander Ravendoom pulls out his blaster and points it at Jacob's head from behind....
Commander Ravendoom: Do what he says or your daring friend dies! Before you make a single step, drop your weapons on the ground!
Zack: That won't be necessary Raymond. Trust me.
Blake walks next to Zack, who is standing on the edge of the roof.
Zack: Behold the extinction of the animal kind. You remember the time back in the convoy when I was telling you that egregious tale about Zootopia's end? Well, take a look at the city now from this skyscraper. My tale became real. My dreams are now fulfilled and my purpose is now clear. This is exactly how I imagined us two amidst the course of this operation. Standing here overlooking the whole city with animals turning savage, hunting each other and dying out there. Poor beings, they are trying so hard to find temporary shelter to avoid being wiped out by our stupendous bio weapon! Their harrowing survival will not last for too long. Not when we initiate the last phase of the operation. Now that you are finally here, with me. I want to experience this beautiful moment with my best friend, you.
Blake: Zack....this is not what my best friend would do. This operation will be compromised. If you want to be my true best friend, you need to stop this, immediately! Or I'll never see you as a friend, nor even a valuable person.
Zack: Excuse me? Don't you start with the persuasive stuff again! It's not gonna work. I always finish what I start. This will be no different. You got no other choice. We're just about to reach the culmination of Operation Thunderbolt! Can't you understand I am saving both of our lives? By being successful at destroying this city, Empress Odynhood will not have the need to neutralize me which means if I am left alive, you'll be spared after the operation. We can start living a new life right after. In a new glorious metropolis that will be built here with my own base called Wolfward Industries. You'll be my second in command!
Blake: I refuse to accept this. You'll have to kill me to be able to achieve this.
Commander Ravendoom: I told you Wolfward. There's no inducement for that fox that would make him join our side! Get rid of him already or I'll do it myself!
Zack: There's no point in killing him and you are no longer in control Raymond. Your leadership is not needed. I am taking over this operation starting NOW!
Commander Ravendoom: You are defying my supremacy? It's thanks to me why we got this far! You must obey me at all costs!
Zack: Not anymore. We have won! The city is now mine! With its downfall, you are losing your power here as well!
Commander Ravendoom: Just wait before Neyla finds out you have disobeyed your superior! There will be a helluva high price to pay for this! Your fox friend will fall first, then you!
Commander Ravendoom aims his blaster at Blake. Zack quickly stands in his way to cover him.
Blake: Zack, what are you doing?!
Jacob: Don't mind me guys, I am just gonna rest here on my knees for a whole decade while you all resolve your disputes....
Zack: You are powerless! You can't hurt me! C'mon, shoot me! Weapons are useless against me!
Commander Ravendoom: Your confidence is nothing but a deceit that fools you into thinking you are indestructible with that suit. But I got something that will demoralize you and make you weak just like you were before!
Commander Ravendoom shoots a plasma projectile into Zack that paralyzes him and makes his exo suit's operating systems shut down. While Zack is out of action, Blake shoots a couple of bullets that penetrate through Ravendoom's body.
Commander Ravendoom: My death....will not....make this city....emerge triumphant.
Ravendoom falls off from the ledge of the roof...
Blake: Down he goes....
Zack: Shit Blake....what just happened....
Blake: I just saved your ass!
Regina appears on the scene.....
Blake: Regina?! What are you doing here? I told you to stay put!
Regina: I've heard a gunshot so I came here to help!
Zack: Wait, she came with you too?!
Regina: Get away from him!
Regina points her gun at Zack.....
Blake: Relax, he is not a threat....
Regina: I wouldn't be so sure about that Blake....
Blake walks up to Jacob and helps him stand up....
Blake: You alright?
Jacob doesn't respond and hugs Blake instantly....
Jacob: I am so happy to see you alive!
Zack: How? How are you able to walk, fight and move like that? You were fatally hurt!
Blake: About that....
Regina: It doesn't matter! Let's destroy The Doominator! Dozens of animals keep dying every minute that passes!
Blake: Good idea! Zack, help me put it out of service!
Zack: Whoa! Slow down everybody! What do you think you are doing? Just because I wanted to get rid of Raymond doesn't mean I want to save the day by stabbing the Odynhood Empire in its back! I am still loyal to them and I have sworn to accomplish my mission! Besides, nothing can damage or destroy the Doominator at this point.
Blake: Zack c'mon you don't have to do this! And why? You already stabbed them in the back by killing one of their commanders! Why?
Zack: Because the moment I saw you arrive, I wanted us two to be the only ones standing up here, two best friends who conquered an entire animal kingdom. And about Raymond, he was driving me mad! He wouldn't let me have complete control over the operation, well, now I have!
Regina: You are heavily deluded and you already lost your very own sanity! If you think Blake is gonna support you and join you then you're really out of your mind!
Zack: You're here to antagonize me, aren't you? Allow me to send you after that high-handed nobody!
Zack tries to grab Regina using the pulse pads on his palm but the exo suit doesn't work anymore....
Zack: No! There goes my extraordinary power....
Blake: You wanted to toss her down the damn roof you idiot?
Regina: As if it wasn't enough back at the HQ when you violently kept throwing me from wall to wall! You are WEAK and USELESS without your exo suit!
Blake: How could you do that? Give up Zack, there's nothing you can do anymore. You're not my friend anymore. This isn't the Zack I know from my childhood!
Zack's eyes turn red once again as his anger rises making him belligerent....
Zack: You think I am going to submit to your kind?
Jacob: Yeah baby! I mean there's nothing you can do except for surrendering. Have a taste of your defeat wolfo!
Regina: I strongly advise you to surrender Zack because I am growing really anxious to kill you! I thought you really pitied me back when you hurt me by using that exo suit! You felt sorrow after what you've done! I thought that moment would change the way you perceive animals.
Zack: I just let my emotions influence my mind!
Then, what happens next will entirely change the course of the situation. The Doominator's shields deactivate along with the barrier that held the city under lockdown.....
- Back at Onyx Technologies –
Professor Gyzmoo: Hacking sequence successful! I did it!
Chief Bogo: Now there's nothing that will keep the ZDF from saving this city!
Nick: Great! I just want things to return to normal like they were before everything went downhill....
Judy: I really thought repelling that attack on the ZPD would end this conflict but then they used that weapon....and look what it did. It's just another turn of the screw.
Chief Bogo: We suffered heavy losses today, but this does not end here. I got a good feeling about this. We will win this war.
Professor Gyzmoo: Whatever you'll do, do not leave this building. It's not safe outside. We still need to wait for the virus to clear out.
Mr. Quinn: If we can't leave just yet, then how is the ZDF going to get into the city to eliminate those terrorists?
Chief Bogo: They've been trained to deal with extreme conditions. This virus will not stop them.
The military starts moving deeper into the city from all sides while rescuing any mammal in danger stuck under rubble or needing help.
- The Skyscraper Rooftop –
Blake: Gyzmoo! He did it!
Regina: This is it....rescue is coming!
Jacob: Cool! Just when I thought that my grave was gonna be on top of this goddamn building.
Zack: WHAT?! Gyzmoo....how could he do this? No matter! I will defend the Doominator with my own body if I have to!
Zack stands right in front of the Doominator.
Zack: Don't you come any closer! The second phase is soon going to be executed! And know this, simple weaponry will not damage the weapon!
Blake: How about something explosive?
Jacob sets running to the rooftop door and leaves the area.
Regina: Did he just run off like that?!
Zack: Just let him go, he won't make it far. The virus will stop him before he is able to make a single step outside, not to mention those savage animals that will rip him apart!
Blake: The virus is losing its power. Admit your defeat Zack. Just give up. I don't want to fight with you or kill you.
Zack: No! Only cowards surrender! You still don't understand it. I must do what I was destined to do. I am a weapon itself! I cannot simply abandon my mission and let my creators down. Completing my mission is the only way I can secure our future where we can live both peacefully. I know these actions I am taking right now are extremely divisive. But it is what needs to be done for a peaceful future that involves zero warfare.
Regina: Blake! End it! Now!
Blake: Zack.....please.....you don't need to do this to keep us all alive or to be happy for the rest of your life.
Zack: We never had a life we deserved. I am about to make both of our lives significant. If you allow me to complete what has been started, our future will be significant. We are going to rule this land together Blake with our allies from the Odynhood Empire!
Blake: I don't need to destroy an entire city to have a worthy life because I can do that without waging goddamn war!
Regina: It's now or never Blake.....
Zack: You shut the hell up! You are so infuriating! Nobody asked you to horn in! This is just between me and Blake! Let's make things easier by silencing you forever!
Zack fires a shot at Regina, but Blake jumps in front of her and takes a bullet for her. The impact knocks him down on the ground....
Zack: BLAKE! NO!
Then Regina fires at Zack and hits him in his leg which makes him fall down....
Regina: Blake what were you thinking?
She helps him get up on his feet....
Blake: I saved someone who means the world to me.....
Regina is at a loss for words after what she just heard, but this special moment is quickly interrupted by Zack who managed to stand back up on his feet despite his injured leg.....
Regina: You want another shot? The next one will go through your head!
The exo suit's operating systems boot up and become operational again....
Zack: Now you will suffer!
Zack pulls Regina right into his hand by using the pulse pad. He grabs her by neck and lifts her up in the air.....
Blake: REGINA!!!! Zack put her down! NOW!
Zack: What kind of trickery is this? You were shot right into your chest yet you still stand as if you were immortal! Oh I see.....this wretch used the Reinvigorator to resurrect you! I'll tell you what, you don't wanna miss this show! I am gonna snap her fragile neck right in front of you, but before doing so, how about you bid her a woeful farewell? She is not gonna be here to make me look like a monster anymore in front of you! This is just the beginning of the end! C'mon! Squeal for help!
Zack holds Regina tight by her neck as she cries regretfully....
Regina: I just...wanted...to set things....right...I'm sorry!
Blake falls on his knees.....
Blake: Zack I am begging you! Don't do this to me.....release her. She doesn't deserve to be treated like this...
Zack: She is like a plague, but instead of killing people she kills their relationships! Look how she ruined our friendship and made us enemies! It's all because of her constant meddling!
Blake: RELEASE HER! PLEASE! I vow to do whatever you'll say, heck I will even join your side and fight alongside you but please do not take her from me! This is not what a friend does!
Zack releases Regina and drops her down on the ground in front of him....
Zack: See? It wasn't that hard to give in. I will not hurt you or kill you Blake, but if you attempt to stop me from finishing my mission, then I will take away what you hold the dearest in your life.....HER!
Regina runs back to Blake who is heartbroken and hugs him.....
Regina: I am sorry.....
Blake: What have you become Zack? I truly lost you back in our childhood.....you never came back...
Zack: I was only an uninitiated kid back then. I didn't know that I was created to do something substantial. I was unaware of my purpose but now I know myself more than ever! Those people in Gryphonia, they are all depending on me and their Empress will greatly reward me with power if I successfully accomplish my mission. The city will be mine and it will also belong to her and her followers! This is the only way you can survive this genocide. If you join me, I'll give you my word of honor that you will both live the next day....
Blake and Regina are about to give up till Jacob returns carrying two grenade launchers in his hands....
Jacob: BLAKE! CATCH!
Jacob throws one grenade launcher over to Blake....
Jacob: I know it took me a decade to scrounge around in those piles of dead bodies for these two game changers, but it was definitely worthwhile....
Zack: Our escapee has found his way back up here....
Blake: Regina, get to cover NOW!
Regina hides behind air conditioning units while Black and Jacob prepare to destroy the Doominator for good....
Zack: You really gonna attempt to destroy the weapon with those grenade launchers? You venturesome idiots think that this is the best way to stop me and that it will work? Just open fire, I dare you! You're gonna be the ones facing the critical repercussions of your actions, not me!
Blake: You'll never be the same! Jacob, let's get this over with.
Jacob: With pure pleasure....
Blake and Jacob fire two grenades simultaneously at Zack but the shots get caught midair by Zack's exo suit abilities. He tosses them back towards their owners.....
Blake: That's not good....
Blake and Jacob get to the closest cover as the grenade cartridges are hurled back at them. They explode and badly damage the area around the impact including some air conditioners. Regina spots a special weapon lying on the ground that belonged to Commander Ravendoom. It is the only weapon that can completely yet temporarily disable his exo suit making him vulnerable to incoming attacks.
Jacob: Can this guy fight fairly? Without all that preternatural technology?
Blake: I am afraid not.
Zack: You still wanna shoot those projectiles? I told you all. It just makes things worse. I am unstoppable at this point and so is this operation!
Regina manages to sneak across the roof to grab Commander Ravendoom's blaster while Zack's vision is obscured by the smoke from the blast....
Jacob: Your girl is going for it!
Blake: What? Shit! Are you sure about that? I can't see damn anything!
Jacob: Just wait for it...
She grabs the weapon from the ground and does a flanking maneuver to get a better view at Zack from the side while he is unaware of her and then shoots him several times with the gun. The shots paralyze him completely and he falls on his knees.....
Regina: AND STAY DOWN! BLAKE! JACOB! SHOOT! NOW!
Zack: Wait you....YOU WILY LITTLE WORM! I'll DESTROY YOU!
Before Zack is able to do anything, Regina quickly gets to cover while Blake and Jacob fire several shots from their grenade launchers directly at the Doominator.
Zack: Oh crap.....
The impact obliterates the weapon resulting in a huge explosion that tears one side of the rooftop down.
Blake: Holy shit! Is everyone okay?
Regina: I am here!
Jacob: Breathing!
The trio groups up and remains on high alert.
Blake: Zack?! If you're there, answer me!
There's smoke everywhere, Zack cannot be seen at all but Blake doesn't wait and walks forward hoping to see Zack in one piece.....
Regina: Blake! Wait! It's too dangerous!
Jacob: We don't even know if that guy is dead or still capable of counterattacking....
Blake: I ....don't.....care!
Blake walks past the smoke and sees Zack lying right on the edge of the destroyed side of the rooftop. He rushes towards him and tries to turn him on his back.
Blake: Zack? If you can hear me please respond!
He coughs up dust and slowly responds.....
Zack: You....ruined.....our.....future.....
His exo suit has been destroyed and it is no longer operational....he stands up slowly while Blake backs away from him. Jacob and Regina get both next to Blake with their guns pointed at Zack.....
Regina: You're done here monster!
Jacob: That is a one helluva mission failure right there wolfo!
Zack: We could....have all had.....a bright future. They're gonna put me out of action now thanks to you! I've become a defect!
Blake: No.....
Regina: You were always a defect! Just what were you thinking....killing the whole population in Zootopia would grant you power and renown? Nonsense!
Zack: The Odynhood Empire wants to take over this city. I was supposed to be the key for reaching such a goal! But since I failed miserably, they will now replace me with someone much more adept or even send in their whole army to finish what has been started! You asked for it! You should have let me finish my job! That would ensure your survival! With me out of action, you'll join the dead sooner than you can possibly imagine!
Blake: You're....lying Zack....you weren't doing this just to save me or anyone else you care about here.....you wanted to rule over this city! All you cared about is becoming the supreme leader of this region!
Zack: I just wanted to give you the life you deserved!!!
Blake: By enslaving my friends and making me suffer even more next to you as your tyranny spreads over more regions of this land? No thanks! I am deeply disappointed in you.
Zack: It doesn't matter anymore. It's over. You won. I accept my failure and I am sorry for being a part of your life. I hope I could at least make your childhood somewhat memorable. You should leave.....the extraction team is on the way here to pick me up.
Regina: You think we're gonna leave just like that? This operation will end with you Zack! Look around you! You killed millions of animals for what? Are you happy now? You can't escape this....
Zack: Well, what are you gonna do? Kill me?
Jacob: I don't see a reason for us to spare you after what you've done wolfo! You even mercilessly massacred my team! Those were some really good police officers!!!
Zack: Killing me will not rectify this situation nor bring those dead mammals back to life!
Regina: Why does it matter so much? It's either we who will punish you or your beloved Empress. I am getting so sick of you!!!
Blake: Regina.....calm down....
Regina: I've been waiting for this moment for a really long time Wolfward. To finally exact revenge on you for your horrid wrongdoings!
Zack: THEN DO IT! I AM WAITING!!!!
Jacob: Oh boy....you don't want to mess around with a mad girl....
Blake: Regina, c'mon snap out of it!!!
Regina: I won't! He wanted to kill me several times before. Why should I snap out of it?! We can't let him go after what he has done!!! He is weak and vulnerable, can't you see?! Let's finish this now while we can! Screw it!!!!
Regina shoots from her gun and hits Zack in his shoulder, Blake immediately jumps in front of him as Zack goes down on the ground groaning...
Blake: REGINA! What the hell! He had enough! We won! It's over. There's no need to kill him!!!
Regina: You act like you actually care about him! He doesn't care about you! We are all meaningless animals for him! All he wanted to do is to rule over this city along with his empress! Nothing else!
Zack: Thanks.....for shooting me twice!!!
Regina: If I was aiming just a little bit more to the right, I would have killed you!!!
Blake: Zack, how bad is the wound?
Zack: Just a little scratch, she can't aim.....
Regina: What did you say? The third shot will blow your brain out!
Blake: Regina STOP!!!!
Regina: Don't tell me you're standing up for him all of a sudden. He wanted to kill you! He wanted to kill all of us!!!
Zack: That was NEVER my intention! I was just defending myself and the bio weapon!
Jacob: Guys.....incoming big ass motherships!!!
Blake: What are you talking about? Oh....I see....shit....
Zack: Go, leave. All of you. This is where we say goodbye to each other, probably forever.
Two large dropships arrive on the rooftop and several Onyx units rappel down from them on the rooftop and surround the trio.
Squadron Leader: Drop your weapons!
They make the trio surrender their weapons. Opening fire at the Onyx troopers would be fatal at this point.
Zack: Just hold your fire. We are sparing these three mammals.
Two troopers help Zack stand up and walk him to one of the dropships that landed on the rooftop.....
Blake: Zack.....
Zack: You could have come with me to Gryphonia if I successfully accomplished my mission. Your life is gonna be harder than before now. This whole city strongly detests you for what you've done in the past. Things would have been much more different in Gryphonia for you. You wouldn't have to be facing dishonor anymore. But since I failed to fulfill my purpose, you can't come with me. I am sorry. Forget that I ever existed. Goodbye, my dear friend.
Blake: No.....wait....Zack...
Blake is left completely devastated on the roof with Regina and Jacob as the Onyx troopers escort Zack to the dropship. They lift off and the dropships fly off.
Jacob: Did we just let him go?
Regina: If he ever comes back, I wanna be the one stabbing his heart with a knife!
The city is being overrun by the ZDF. They are clearing the streets from any Onyx clones and rescuing any injured mammals on the way. The destruction of the Doominator has given the Zootopians a new hope. The sky is slowly turning back into normal with the clouds restoring their natural color as well. Blake doesn't say anything and then he turns around and leaves the rooftop....
Regina: Blake? Hey! Where are you going?!
Jacob: Should we follow him?!
Regina: Of course! I am not staying here anymore. This roof is in an unstable state. I am not sticking around here any longer.
Regina runs after Blake....
Jacob: Hey! Wait for me!!!
Jacob follows the "couple".....
A minute later, Regina catches up with Blake. She sees him standing near the elevator door...
Regina: Blake....what are you doing?!
Blake: Waiting for you two. C'mon, we are leaving.
They all enter the elevator. Blake presses the ground floor and the elevator starts taking them to the ground floor.....
Blake: I can't believe he is gone. My best friend is gone.....
Regina: Look.....I am sorry for that and for what happened up there. I shouldn't have overreacted.
Blake: That's understandable. You did that with a vengeance. I know he hurt you and he deserved it.
Regina: I know he made your childhood beautiful...but he has grown into a willful megalomaniac. Our lives will be better without him, trust me.
Jacob: You guys....are super lucky to have each other right now, seriously. I am glad we survived this battle for Zootopia.
Regina: Yeah....we had a few close calls but we did it. So, what now?
Jacob: I don't know about you guys, but I'll return to the ZPD to assist the police there. Chief Bogo needs me. He promised me to make me a ZPD officer.
Blake: I am happy for you Jacob. Go, keep following your dreams and never look back behind you. That will greatly help you in your next career.
Jacob: Thanks bro. AND....by the way, that darn stupid rabbit got away with all that money!
Blake: Wait, what? How? I thought we had a deal between each other! How am I gonna find myself a place to stay now if I got no money to help me resume my already pathetic life?
Jacob: I swear I got nothing to do with that. He literally shot me and took the briefcase with the money and drove off to an unknown place.
Regina: You guys were planning to split the money between each other?
Blake: Yeah.....that was until Jack double crossed us. Great, now I got yet another reason to be utterly upset. You shouldn't have told me anything about this....
Jacob: C'mon, you would have found out about it in time anyway. I'll track him down and make him pay Blake. I promise!
Blake: Do whatever you want, we're not getting that money back anymore.
Regina: Guys....I am sorry to interrupt you but we're almost on the ground level. We should get ready. We don't know what's out there.
Blake: Ready your weapons!
They reach the ground floor. As the elevator door opens they cautiously walk outside into the lobby room, ready for any danger. The place seems to be secure, with no savage animal around nor an Onyx clone.
Blake: Be wary of possible attacks from savage animals guys....or even Onyx clones!
Regina: We got this far. I am not gonna let anyone ruin this progress we've made.
Jacob: I think we're good. But I don't like this ominous silence outside...
Blake: Stay behind me and follow me!
The trio exits the building only to realize that this war is truly over. They see a crystal clear sky and mammals gathering together on the street while the ZDF keeps everyone safe all around the place.
Blake: Looks like we don't need to worry about being eaten alive or shot to death.
Jacob: Thank god! And look! I see some ZPD officers in the distance escorting some mammals! What are you waiting for? Let's go after them!
Blake: Jacob....I can't.
Jacob: Why?!
Blake: They are gonna arrest me. I can't simply walk here on the street without a disguise. In fact, I should really be going right now. You go after them, but without me.
Jacob: But.....where else do you want to go? We don't have any money thanks to Jack. You think you're gonna find someone who will happily give you a job? You won't be able to find new employment here because of your criminal record....
Blake: What are you suggesting then? To let myself be arrested by the police? That's not gonna give me a job either.
Jacob: I mean what else you can do?
Blake: Just go man.....we're done here.
Jacob: I am just messing with you, go do whatever you think is best for you my friend. I just hope you know what you're doing and just promise me we will see each other again sometime.....the sooner....the better.
Blake: Good luck with becoming a ZPD officer. And I am sure we are not seeing each other the last time. I hope you won't be tasked with tracking down my ass....
Jacob: If we ever run into each other while I am on duty, then I will try my best to give you enough time to get yourself a head start on running away from me or I will just simply go easy on you.
Blake: That would be....ironic. Even thinking about that just makes a cold shiver run down my spine...
Jacob: Oh don't you worry about that! My primary target is Jack. That snowflake is gonna regret stealing our money and shooting me! Alright, Regina you wanna come with me?!
Regina: I....I think I'll stay with this silly fox....
Jacob: You two take care of yourselves. So long.
Jacob leaves the two and joins the ZDF and ZPD forces up ahead.
Blake: Silly? I'll take it as a compliment.
Regina: How nice of you! I would be greatly offended if you called me silly!
Blake: You don't say, sweetie.
Regina: Stop it. You'll melt my heart this way. So, what is your....I mean.....our next big step?
Blake: I'd like to get off the street first before we plan our next move.
Regina: I know a quite alluring place where we can stay for a while before we plan our next move.
Blake: What is it?
Regina: Just....come after me.
They both walk out of the city centre unseen. Regina leads Blake towards what it seems to be Zootopia's biggest park. They enter it and start walking deeper into the lush area full of flowers, trees and all kinds of plants.
The Onyx forces have been successfully defeated by the ZDF who finally took over the city to defend it and clear it from any remaining threats. The sky is clear and the virus is gone. But at a cost. Today, Zootopia lost thousands of animals and many buildings were badly damaged or even destroyed. The army is sending in aerial support as well like choppers, dropships with jet planes to heavily fortify the metropolis.
What happens next will be revealed in the next and final chapter of this story.
