Returning to the pitiful Doctor Hideo, who had not yet recovered from the recent events, his hand was suddenly grasped and squeezed with such force that he cried out in pain. To make matters worse, the other hand of the patient, who had been restrained, was now free and aimed straight at his chest. It was easy to predict the doctor's fate after receiving such a blow.
Fortunately, Lady Luck had not abandoned him yet. Just before the blow was about to land, Hideo was pushed aside by a large figure, and his hand was freed from Ryan's grip. The rescuer was none other than the heroine Ryukyu, who was currently in her partial dragon form. She stood at 1.9 meters (6.234 ft) tall, with thin scales covering her entire body. In this confined space, this was the most suitable form for combat, as it greatly increased her strength, defense, and speed. Unfortunately, she couldn't sprout wings.
However, what surprised her was that when she made contact with Ryan's left hand, her scales began to crack, and although they had not yet been completely penetrated, the terrible force transmitted through them sent her flying, crashing into the wall of the room.
Having completed his attack, Ryan did not continue to pursue but first freed himself from his restraints and then rolled off to the left side of the bed. Just as he was getting up, an electric plug was thrown straight at his back, and upon contact, an electric current spread throughout his body, intending to paralyze him. But unfortunately, this only made Ryan angrier, and he grabbed the cord with his left hand and pulled it towards him with great force, dragging Shido, the owner of the plug, along with it.
Wait until the distance was just right, Ryan swung his right hand like a blade towards the police officer. Years of training had given Shido quick reflexes, and he made the only choice he could, using his right hand covered in armor to block and deflect the attack. But as fate would have it, upon impact, the armor on Shido's hand shattered, and the bones in his arm couldn't bear the pressure and broke in two. Shido was thrown off balance by the force and fell hard to the ground.
Without giving the officer a chance to stand up, Ryan lifted the bed he had just been lying on and swung it down with force. Unfortunately for him, the bed only made it halfway before it was struck with a powerful blow that caused it to slip out of his hands. Without hesitation, Ryan used the momentum to throw a spinning kick that sent Ryukyu flying several meters away.
Before she could regain his balance, a series of powerful and fast strikes came at Ryukyu, making it difficult for her to keep up. After multiple collisions, the band on her forehead fell off, and scales on her hands and feet peeled off in many places. Finally realizing that he couldn't finish off his opponent fast enough, Ryan changed tactics. He grabbed Ryukyu's hands and used all his strength to push her until her body hit the wall behind her. Seeing Ryan's intentions, Ryukyu decided to use all her might, and her body started to swell, but it was too late. Using all his strength, Ryan pushed forward, sending Ryukyu crashing through the wall and out of the hospital.
"Ryuko!" Shido cried out in fear, but it was only Ryan who had caught his attention. When he turned his face back, Shido saw nothing but madness and bloodlust in Ryan's eyes, a look that even a seasoned police officer like him couldn't help but be afraid of.
Currently, there are only two people left in the room. The two doctors have already gone to call for help, and Shido knows what he needs to do at this moment. "Hold him until help arrives." His tail wraps around objects nearby and throws them towards Ryan, but it's useless. With his reflexes, every object that comes close to him is knocked away. In a short amount of time, the distance between them has been shortened to half a meter, and the officer is now within striking range. One punch is all it takes to end the fight. Just as the punch reaches its target, a third force pulls Shido out of the room, avoiding a deadly blow.
Ryan missed his attack but didn't stop to question himself. He continues to charge forward until he hits the opposite wall, where his previous standing position has been shattered by something. When he turns around, he notices that a new guest has arrived, someone covered in a substance resembling sand or dirt.
[ Ryan's POV]
Damn it, how did I get caught? Why am I in this situation? Why can't I remember recent events?
But forget it, now's not the time for questions. First, assess the current situation. It's not looking too optimistic. My head is pounding like I just got hit by a hammer, all my senses are severely impaired, and although my body is intact, with my current mental state, I won't last very long. The worst part is that I can't use any energy, I can only engage in close combat.
The enemy isn't too strong, but they have undoubtedly undergone thorough training. No one has fallen yet.Running away is the best option. I should have jumped down earlier, but there may still be a chance. I just need to knock out the two in front of me and charge straight towards the hole.
[POV ended]
Suddenly, a angry growl could be heard from outside, followed by a large figure completely blocking the hole in the wall. Ryan could sense the dangerous aura emanating from this newcomer, and it was clear that they weren't here to say hello.
[Ryan POV again]
In second thought, I should have taken some time to explore this facility.
[End POV]
Ryan clenched his fist and swung it behind him, smashing through the wall and leaping into the next room, then into the hallway from there.
The heroes could only grit their teeth and chase after him, with Ryukyu being the most annoyed as she had to transform into her human form again to operate within the hospital.
Ryan had no idea where he was running to, and continuing to smash through every room would quickly drain his energy while slowing down his speed, so he had to stick to the hallway and hope to find another escape route.
And luck was on his side, as he ran into a series of elevators. As the pursuers closed in, he jumped in and grabbed onto the rope, using his right foot to slow his fall while squinting his eyes to see the scene below. Sand rained down from above, but were easily shattered before they could reach Ryan.
Note that there are still a few floors left before reaching the ground, he tightened your grip on his hand, came to a stop, and rushed to the elevator door, quickly opening it. Based on his memory, he predicted where it would lead outside and quickly moved there. Unfortunately, the path he took would not be easy.
While moving through a corner, Ryan was ambushed by a man with hands like a pair of pliers (OC, no need to check). The man's right hand was aimed straight at Ryan's feet, clearly trying to disable his ability to move but was unsuccessful. Ryan used a bit of force with his foot, causing his whole body to jump up, in mid-air, he spun around and kicked. Although the stranger managed to block it with his left hand, he still had to step back a few steps before he could stand firm, with a dent appearing on the armor around his wrist. This left him in utter shock.
Not caring about his opponent's mood, Ryan gained momentum and collided straight into the blocker, knocking him down. With time pressing, he didn't intend to drag it out and immediately ran, but he was not successful.
From behind, the sound of the wind being torn was heard, slightly leaning his body, a figure swiftly passed by his shoulder, standing in the middle of the path in front of him.
Without saying a word, both charged straight into each other, Ryan swung his fist forward, and the opponent responded with a high kick, just before the two collided, without any pre-action, the opponent's foot pulled back, causing Ryan's punch to fall into the void, revealing his unguarded face. Seizing this opportunity, the opponent's foot shot strongly towards Ryan's face, making him stumble back into a defensive position.
As soon as he opened his eyes, the opponent appeared in front of him and threw a straight punch, when blocked, his arms recoiled like a compressed spring. Ryan planned to respond with a hook punch, but the opponent's arm snapped back to its original length, creating a pushing force that pushed him out of range. It was only now that Ryan could take a closer look at his opponent, who was a man in the military with his wrists and calves replaced with springs, explaining the stretching and contracting of his limbs during the fight. (Imagine Bellamy in One Piece)
Ryan really didn't want to fight anymore, his mental state didn't allow for it, but the person in front of him made his escape plan extremely difficult.
Perhaps realizing the difference in their strength and defense, the opponent changed their fighting style, compressing the springs in their legs and turning their body into a blurred figure bouncing back and forth between the walls, forming a large net that covered Ryan and narrowing his range of movement. He knew that he only needed to hold Ryan in place and wait for the reinforcements to arrive, without having to waste energy attacking. Ryan understood the opponent's scheme, but with his severely impaired senses, it was impossible to grasp the opponent's movements so he could only endure the blows and retreat.
Moments later, despite Ryan's efforts, the reinforcements arrived in time, none other than Dragoon hero: Ryukyu and Sand Hero: Snatch. "Stop it Springer, we're here," Ryukyu said. Landing on the ground, Springer replied cheerfully, "Oh, you finally arrived. Let's go everyone, this kid is quite stubborn, we shouldn't go easy on him." And so our main character was quickly subdued and buried in Snatch's sand.
[Ryan POV] (Cringe scene alerted)
My supply of oxygen was cut off, my consciousness was gradually fading into darkness, is this the end? NO, it can't be, I still have strength, I can still fight, I refuse to lose so easily. I calm myself down, focus my entire being, and try to reach the energy flowing through my body.
Before the sand controller could react, the sand cocoon he painstakingly created suddenly shattered from the inside, and my body burst out, grabbing the spring guy's leg and throwing him toward the Earth Bender . Unable to defend himself, both of them were thrown far away.
Reacting quickly, the man with the iron hand and the woman rushed towards me, trying to grab hold of my arms. But with one strong kick, I push them both towards the wall on the right, and the impact made the man's grip loosen.
Using the remaining person as a shield, I dashed towards the opposite wall. However, compared to the man, the woman was much more resilient. She not only did not let go of my arm but also tightly locked her hand around my neck, trying to make me pass out. Unable to escape, I used my power and jumped with all my might. Our bodies pierced through several floors of the building, and the woman on my back suffered most of the injuries.
After passing through four floors, we crashed into a patient's resting room, causing many horrified screams. The nurse and patient immediately left the room to avoid this dangerous situation. Finally, she let go of me and fell onto a bed in the room, breaking it in two. I wasn't any better, as the exhaustion brought me crashing down to the ground. It took me a while to recover from the shock and stand up again. However, the first image I saw left my mind completely empty.
"Mom?"
In front of me was the image of the person I loved the most, with the same hair, face, and figure. Her presence dispelled all negative emotions, and I felt like I had returned to being a child, carefree and happy, without hate, without conflict, just living in a world with the two of us.
"Mommy" I called out again, this time replacing all doubts with joy, quickly approaching her to be reunited once again.
But just a few steps out, her happy expression turned to fear, and her legs quickly retreated. This action was like an arrow piercing through my heart.
"Mom, it's me, your son. Can't you recognize me?" I spoke with a trembling voice, but received no response.
"Please don't be afraid anymore, mom. Your son is here now. From now on, no one can harm you anymore," I continued to call out desperately, reaching out to her.
As I lifted my hand, I noticed something strange. My hand was now stained with fresh blood. I panicked and tried to hide it, but it was too late. I was now wearing a blue armored suit, with red boots and gloves, a golden belt, and a US flag cloak on my back. All were soaked in fresh blood.
Looking at my mother and then down at myself, I panicked and said, "It's not what you think, mother. This is not me...please listen to me..." At the same time, my hands kept tearing off my clothes, trying to erase the bloodstains, but it was too late. My mother's image quickly receded and finally disappeared completely into the darkness, despite my desperate efforts to hold onto her.
My mother's departure had drained all the last strength in me. My legs gave way, unable to bear the weight of my body, and my hands were powerless. Tears flowed endlessly from my eyes. Now, I was no different from a lifeless corpse.
At that dark moment, a hand suddenly gently stroked my hair. Looking up, my mother, who had been away, was now kneeling before me with a warm face and a gentle smile. That smile gave me even more vitality. Her hand touched my face, which I had always longed for.
The warmth and smoothness of her skin showed me that this was not just a dream. From my sorrowful face suddenly appeared a smile.
I hugged her tightly, crying as if I wanted to show her the loneliness and longing after so many years of separation. Without any words or unnecessary movements, I just leaned on my mother's shoulder and cried, greedily feeling her warm embrace, letting my soul be comforted by her. Then, at some point, I fell into a deep sleep.
