As the moonlight bathed the hospital corridor in Tang Peng and Tang Liang stood silently lost in thought. Suddenly, the glass pane trembled subtly.
Tang Peng's brows furrowed, a shadow of doubt crossing his face. "Did you see that?"
Tang Liang, who had been lost in thought, turned to his father with a puzzled look. "See what?"
Tang Peng shook his head, dismissing it. "Never mind," he murmured, sinking back into his wheelchair, a frown lingering on his face.
Tang Liang positioned himself behind the wheelchair, his hands resting on the handles. "I'll stay back. Why don't you head back to your room to rest?"
Tang Peng nodded, his pride battling with the exhaustion that tugged at his limbs. He wanted to refuse to stay, but his body wouldn't cooperate.
