Ning Yu put her arm around Li Na's shoulder, "And don't worry, we're going to have a full discussion about school after the movie, OK?" Ning Yu decided to compromise. She knew Li Na was a bookworm, but she hoped that she would change her mind.
Li Na could only give in. She sighed, "Fine."
Ning Yu felt glad she agreed. "The movie is a classic love story. It's called The Notebook. Maybe by watching this, it will help us imagine our own happy endings. Or maybe their love stories will make us so jealous that we will have no choice but to go out and find our missing ribs."
Li Na was truly speechless. She looked at Ning Yu with disbelief.
Ning Yu continued, "We are about to enter college and our love lives are still at zero. That only happens to losers who are yet to undergo a transformation like in the movie The Princess Diaries. I mean, look at us. Two beautiful girls, but no boyfriend. Even the ugly ones are out there with someone."
