"Didn't I tell you to get out last night? Or are you just obsessed with me?" Li Na taunted, swinging her legs off the bed.
Meilin's frown deepened, unaccustomed to this brazen version of Li Na. "What are you going to do today?" she inquired, her voice a mix of curiosity and caution.
"Carry it out as per usual," Li Na replied nonchalantly, standing to face Meilin.
"What do you mean?" Meilin pressed, seeking clarity.
"You'll see. Don't you always follow me around? You can do it again, quietly, like a cute puppy following its master," Li Na teased.
"Watch it, Li Na," Meilin warned.
"Then stop following me," Li Na retorted. "Anyway, I'm going to shower." She glanced at the clock on the wall. "I have school to attend," she declared, stepping into the bathroom.
Meilin could only watch her, her eyes shooting invisible daggers at Li Na's retreating back.
