The traffic light turned green and the cars moved along the road. The sun was shining brightly and the sky was clear.
But by the side of the road, Three figures stood near a convenience store, looking out of place.
"Sniff, sniff. Do you both smell that?" Netta said, inhaling deeply. She had a keen sense of smell, and she detected something that made her mouth water.
"Smell what?" Bane asked, looking around.
"Blood. So delicious. Sniff, sniff. Mmm, it smells really pure. Can you both smell it? I can almost taste it," she said, licking her lips with delight, her eyes gleaming with hunger.
Bane looked her up and down, feeling annoyed. "Don't be ridiculous. We're surrounded by humans. Control yourself and shut your mouth before we get in trouble."
