Chapter 2 - Chapter 1, The Start

The first sighting of this creature was in 1878, when a young woman and her husband had gone out on a walk before hearing a silent scream of help. Of course, the two of them ran to the cry and looked for this woman, but all they saw was blood on the ground and two women, one of them biting on a chunk of the other girl's neck. Blood, sliding down her neck as the women devoured her enjoyably. The Husband and Wife both were terrified of the scene happening in front of them, without a thought the Husband ran to the two women and tried to detach the other. The Wife just stood there horrified, as she was about to make a move forward all she saw was her Husband being torn to shreds, no sound was made, no nothing. The poor Wife ran like her life depended on it to the first police station she saw. When she explained the situation to them they didn't believe her at first before one of the policemen came into the room and called for the other police officers to follow them. The Women sat alone, locked in the investigation room before feeling a breather down her neck. She screamed before a loud crack was heard and her scream died down.

By the time the police came back she was gone, a small pool of blood on the table where the girl was.

That first sighting turned into more young women seeing the same things dn eventually everyone in that town was seeing it. Reports were everywhere and so many young women around the ages of 14-26 were being killed, the only thing being left on their body being small holes on their necks, arms, chest, thighs and even on their stomachs. When Doctors examined the bodies, it turned out that the blood in their body was sucked out dry and some of the victims weren't even found and only small traces of their DNA were left where they were last seen.

The weird thing about this though, the sightings may have been getting worse, in 1968,the sightings were stopped. For some odd reason these creatures weren't seen and people assumed that they had been killed. Though that may have happened people were still shaken up by them and didn't roam at night. Until, after the years went by people began to lose that fear and forget that that had even happened. Only very few people remained, having that fear and knowing that they will come back.

Now, people have heard of them, but they just think that they aren't and won't ever be real since most of these creatures are now coming out from the theaters. They had even given the creatures names. They had started to call the blood sucking creature "Vampires".

This story may have started off with how these blood suckers were first introduced, but this is a story about how these vampires come back, looking for the right girl to fit their vampire queen. A love story perhaps, continue on if you want to know how this might turn out.

Vampires have not been seen in almost 3 centuries while many suspect that they might come back and feed on them once and for all. Others think that these so-called vampires were only sighted and known because they might have been looking for someone and may have stopped because they might have finally found them. Maybe there is a cha-

"Baihe, Can you explain to me the question on the screen please?"A loud voice suddenly rang in her ears, she looked to her side and saw the teacher standing right next to her, giving her a small glare. She coughed a bit before putting her phone back into her bag, a small nod to her teacher. "R-right, sorry," she spoke quietly, before looking at the screen and reading the question on the board. The words were thick and were a colorful red, 'Who was the first person that discovered the Red Blood Creatures?' I read to myself. She gave a small confused look at her teacher, wondering as to why they are going over such a topic before speaking in a slightly loud voice, so the entire class could hear her answer loud and clear.

She hesitated for a moment, then with a small look back at the board she started to speak, "It was Women who had first discovered the 'Red Blood Creature'. The name of the woman is ChiHana, although people say she may discovered it alone, she had stated that her husband was with her during that night of the scene, some people think that she may have been telling a false lie but what people don't' actually know is that she and her husband had BOTH discovered the creatures, his corpse was found in the same alley way as the random young lady who was the first victim of such a creature" She spoke, making sure that everyone heard her, she looked at the teacher waiting for their response.

The Teacher had stared at her with a slight lift of a brow before a small smile had formed. Baihe had noticed her teacher liked that answer very much, she even nodded in approval."Yes, you are quite correct about this. People back then, or known as our ancestors, didn't know what to believe because they were scared and wanted to get rid of such a lie. They had thought the ChiHana was making things up and that she had killed the girl and next her husband, but that was false when they had found ChiHana's body in a pond, body pale and dead." The teacher looked at her with a small smirk on her face like she was trying to prove a point. The teacher was about to walk away before she felt Baihe's eyes on her.

"There was an article that had stated ChiHana isn't there? It is stated that her husband was with her. Why do you not believe books and go by what others say?"Baihe had said defensively, looking at the teacher with a small frown and eyes furrowed with a confused look. The Teacher let out an irritated sigh before walking away with an annoyed yet amused look. "It seems that we have another student who thinks that. Baihe, now that you have answered the question you may leave already, as well as XiuLan, you can both see yourself out of school." The teacher spoke in a soft tone, the other students groaned in annoyance, glaring at the two students as the two packed their stuff and left the class.

XiuLan, was walking ahead, bag in hand as she walked, Baihe behind her bag on the side of her thigh, she walked slowly behind the other. She looked at the girl in front of her, her heart skipping a beat when the girl's black and redish hair bounces as she walks. Now that she mentions it, this girl is quite interesting. She may be the student council president, but she's very quiet and especially pretty. XiuLan Xiao, she's 17 years old, her hair and eyes are both unique which is what makes people like her, she's the student council president, the top student of course and also the most beautiful girl in the entire academy. She is also quite tall for a girl like her, which is another bonus not going to lie.

Baihe was so lost in thought she didn't see XiueLan stop walking and stand there, making her bump into her. Baihe made a small oof sound before bowing and apologizing to the other. "Would you please not speak about me outloud?.''A stern but soft voice spoke. Baihe froze and looked up at XiuLan. She had a confused expression on her face before realizing what she meant. "Oh! I-i'm so so sorry XiuLan"She apologized and bowed deeply. She heard a small scoff before XiuLan opened the door in front of her and walked out.

Baihe just stood there, a slight flush on her face from embarrassment shown. 'I can't believe I spoke out so loud, did I really just say that in front of her!?Holy moly i think i might die from embarrassment' Baihe thought to herself as she opened the doors and walked out. Fresh Air hitting her face and the sunlight shining in the sky brightly.

When she walked down the steps she noticed XiuLan was standing by the gates, she was confused since XiuLan is usually picked up quickly.

Baihe walked towards the gates and passed by XiuLan with a small hum leaving her mouth. As she walked she felt someone staring at her and immediately looked to see who it was but XiuLan wasn't paying attention to her and kept standing there. She let out a small shiver before walking again.

As she walked down the sidewalk she brought out her phone and texted her mother she would be home in 10 minutes, she didn't get a reply back but was left on read. A small smile formed on her face, "Well, it's good to know she was able to see my message this time,"Baihe said with a small laugh leaving her lips. She put her phone in her bag and started to head off to her house. Not noticing a pair of eyes watching her as she walked.

The walk was calm, the air was refreshing, Baihe really loved walking home, especially on days like these. Of course, they don't last forever. By the time Baihe got home, there were police and an ambulance at her neighbors house, and Baihe being the concerned and worried person she is, she immediately ran to the scene.

A big crowd was formed and a lot of people were talking about the scene in front of them, making Baihe curious and more worried. As she stood at the front of teh crowd she tried looking for any signs of her neighbors. When she did catch a sight of them though, her heart almost stopped. The sight was disturbingly gross, the father's body was torn half way at the bottom and neck twisted as blood spilled from his mouth and now nonexistent half.

The daughter's body was a dark-ish blue-purple look, almost dead like. Her body was perfectly kept together, unlike her fathers. There were small little holes in the girls arms, neck and legs. Baihe couldn't stand to look at the scene anymore and just walked away, her hand to her mouth as she felt like she might actually puke.

When she walked to her door, her mom was standing there, staring at the neighbor's house, an expressionless look across her face. She looked like she was in a trance.

"Ah mom, you're not supposed to be out of your bed?" Baihe said, looking at her guardian with slight confusion and worry. She didn't get a reply back, which is not surprising to Baihe. "Come, let's get you back in bed, okay?" Baihe said, gently grabbing her mom by her shoulders, trying to move her mothers' body. "Mom? We have to get you into bed, your body is too weak to stand" Baihe continued, her mom didn't seem to be paying attention at the moment, making Baihe a bit concerned.

Baihe was about to grab her mom by her hand before her mother looked at her with a small smile. "My little Tùzǐ, You're finally home.." The mothers tiny weak voice muttered out. "Yes mom, I'm home, now let's get you back to your room, yes?" Baihe said calmly, taking her mom by the arm and walking her mother to her room.

Baihe settled her mother in bed, making sure that she gets comfortable before turning off the lights and closed the door on her way out.

A long sigh had left her mouth as she stood at the door, she hadn't seen her mother ever stand at the door, not even once ever since she had gotten ill. It surprised Baihe greatly, but she was kind of disturbed since the doctors had said that her mothers legs were paralyzed and she wouldn't be able to walk. Baihe didn't know what to do, was that really her mom or was her eyes tricking her into thinking that she saw her mom walking, 'Aiya, this is so confusing!!!' Baihe thought to herself, she looked at the door for a few seconds before walking away and into the kitchen.

Grabbing her apron and wrapping it around her waist, she started to grab the pans and started to cook a small meal for both her and her mother. It didn't take long before she was done. The meal was a mix of white rice and some beans, along with some carrots and broccoli. She never really likes to eat everyday, but it's what her mom likes to eat,so it is what it is.

She set her food on the table and went to her mothers room, a tray of food in her grip as she walked with quiet and small steps. Knocking on her moms door a little, "I'm coming in now" is said by Baihe and she walks into her mothers room with a small smile and gentle steps. Her mother didn't move her body yet, but turned to look at her, her face not being able to show, as the room was dark. "Mother, Your food is done as you can see"Baihe started, bringing the small table next to the shelf and setting it next to the bed, she looked at her mom, waiting for a reply but got nothing but a small nod. "Alright then, I will be in the dining room if you need anything,," Baihe finished, turning around and walking out of the room, making sure to turn on her mothers' light. Once done, Baihe walked out of the room and to the table that had her food ready and waiting to be devoured.

It was quiet, usually Baihe liked the silence but she felt…wrong. Like she was out of place and someone was there. This is the first time that she had felt like this and she didn't like it.

As she continued to clean the dishes, she felt someone creep on her but when she tried to ignore it, it just kept getting worse and worse. When she finished the dishes she took her gloves off and set her apron back on the wall, she turned and went to her room to get changed.

It wasn't long before she finished changing, she also had to make sure her mother was resting as well. When done making sure she grabbed her keys and walked out the house, looking at the time, it read ^5:58pm^.

'Alright, let's get going to work shall we?'Baihe thought to herself, before starting to jog, to get to her job faster, obviously. It took about 30 minutes for her to get there, a small shop called 'L.D.F.Y. coffee', which stands for, 'Love Drinks For You,' . Kind of a weird name but it pays really well.

Baihe walked into the shop, looking around to see if there were any other workers here to help her on the job, but of course, no one is here. Again.

"So annoying, of course I'm here again by myself.."Baihe said to herself, a small long sigh leaving her lips. She ignored the rest of her thoughts and went to the employees locker room. Grabbing her cap and apron long with her gloves, she walked to the front and waited for any customers to come.

-

Baihe stood at the cash register with an almost bored expression as she waited for someone or something to at least walk through the doors.

It seemed as though her thoughts came true because right when she thought for someone to go through that door a woman and a child walked through and came to the front.

"Welcome to Love Drinks For You Coffee, Which also means, L.D.F.Y. Coffee, how may I take your lovely order?" Baihe said with a small bow and smiling at the two. They stared at her with the same expression before the women let her child run off to the candy aisle.

"Well then, I'm glad I am welcomed dear. Now, I was wondering if you sell any muanhe?''The woman asked, staring at Baihe with her ocean blue eyes. 'Huh, that's kind of a unique eye color', Baihe thought to herself when she looked at the woman's face.

"Yes Ma'am we sure do. Which flavor would you like?"Baihe asked, grabbing the boxes and setting them on the counter. The women looked over them, reading over the different types of flavors. "I would say, how about the "strawberry" flavored one?"The woman asked, grabbing the small box and smelling it with a weird type of smile.

"Of course you can, does your daughter also want something? She seems to want those fake blood candies?" she said, a small smile on her face, watching as the women looked over at her child, she made a small whistle, catching the girls attention by just that. The little girl came over, handing the candy to Baihe, and looking at her with small star-y like eyes.

"Your daughter's eyes are quite unique,ah sorry, that will be 7.28 please,"Baihe said, rubbing her gloved hand against the counter with slight hesitancy when the woman looked at her with surprise.

The woman looked at her with a surprised expression, was it something she said or was it because of the price? Baihe didn't understand before the woman coughed and took out her wallet, handing her the money for the box and the liquid candy.

"Are you okay, miss?" Baihe asked as she grabbed the money and set it inside the register, giving the change to the women who stood in front of her. "Yes, sorry about that, I just remembered something and it kind of surprised me. Is your boss here? I also came to see if I could talk to him about work profits?"

"OH! Are you Mrs. Ming? I'm sorry to say, but Mr.Nong hasnt been showing up recently but he did say for me to tell you that everything is inside of his office, let me get the keys,"Baihe said, turning around and opening the drawer, looking inside for a few seconds before finally grabbing the key, turning back around and giving the key to Mrs. Ming.

"Here are the keys, Mr.Nong said that you can check the office whenever you want."Baihe ended, looking at the other, waiting for Mrs.Ming to speak. Mrs.Ming nodded her head, smiling at Baihe before gently grabbing her daughter's hand, slightly bowing. "Thank you, I will see whenever my schedule is free for me to be able to come back.Have a nice night Miss Lian"

Baihe nodded her head, bowing to the other as they walked out of the shop. She waited a few minutes before she suddenly sat down on the drawer, a long breath heaving from her mouth. "I don't know what just happened but now, I just feel like I just got hit by a train."

"I wonder why Mr.Nong gave Mrs.Ming the key? Ugh, the man needs to start getting his butt to work already, it's so boring not having anyone here to be with." She continued, looking at the boxes in front of her, grabbing them, she put them back underneath the counter, bending down a bit to lock it. When she stood up and looked back down at the counter, a necklace was there, small diamonds surrounding some parts of it, small heart beadings on the glossy part. It was a blood red necklace with small little silver like wings at the sides of the reds. It looked quite expensive, she wondered where it came from.

Baihe grabbed it and looked over it a little more carefully, she felt content with it, a small sigh left her, putting the necklace inside of her pocket. She looked at the clock and then looked at the shop's door. "It's almost time for A-Ning's part of the shift, where is he?"

A small bell sound soon came 1 hour later, making Baihe perk up and look to see who it was, giving the change to the customer with a small smile. "Ahhh, I'm so sorry Miss Lian, parents wanted me to finish studying first before leaving" he said, walking to the back of the counter, setting her bag down and looking at Baihe with a sadden expression.

", A-Ning what did I say about calling me that? We're friends, you can call me Baihe!!"She said, laughing at Ning before walking to the employees room while taking off her apron and gloves, "Also, you remember what Mr.Nong said about a woman named Ming?", "yes? Mr.Nong said that the two had something important to discuss" "Well, she came by about an hour ago, you should have seen the way she looked, she was so beautiful!" "She came?" "yeaup, although when she left I think she forgot her necklace as well," Baihe walked out of the room, walking to Ning and showing him the necklace. Ning looked over it and tried to touch it but he brought his hand back quickly. "Eh, I think I just got shocked.."Ning said, rubbing his finger against his shirt.

"Really? Huh, must've been because of the gloves, sorry"Baihe said, taking the gloves off and setting them on the wall. Ning just nodded, watching as Baihe held the necklace in her hand. He didn't feel like it was because of the gloves but he will just let Baihe think it was.

"Anyways, I gotta get going now, mom is probably waiting for me to make her some dinner,"Baihe said, putting the necklace back into her pocket, grabbing her bag and walking out from behind the counter, standing at the door and waiting for Ning to be set. "Okay then Baihe, tell Mrs.Lian I said hi, now get going, it's getting late, have a safe walk Baihe", Ning said, waving to the other as Baihe nodded her head and walked out.

Baihe started her walk, looking around and looking at the sky, before she shook her head and started her way home.

A figure on top of the shop stared down at her, watching as she headed off.
